Measuring Smaller need HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello Ladies...I to am pregnant and I got my BFP on 6/7/08 and officially on 6/9 w/55 Beta level...my beta was 109 48 hours later 6/11. Then on 6/18 it was 1265 and 2519 on 6/20. I went for a scan today thinking I am 6 weeks 2 days and all they saw was a sac measuring 5 weeks 2 days and a yolk sac. My doc has scared the crap out of me saying something might be wrong since there was no fetal pole or heartbeat. We know my ER (5/26) and ET (5/30) dates and I should be 6 weeks 2 days.

Has anyone else had this problem...measuring smaller then they are? I go back Monday and these next 5 days will be brutal.

I fell pregnant naturally but know I concieved on Valentine's Day (it was the only day we did it that month - having twins you don't get time!!!) By dates i should have been 5 weeks 4 days on my first scan but we didn't even see a sac. I was beside myself. A week later we saw a sac and a week after that we finally saw a heartbeat. Sometimes bub's just take their time getting going.

On ultrasound you will not see a heartbeat until at least 6 weeks. Did you have a trans-vaginal (internal) scan with your first scan? The foetal pole can be very hard to see on a normal (abdominal) ultrasound in an early pregnancy and factors like an odd shaped uterus, the sac not sitting at the top of the uterus, the mother's weight and the fullness (lack of) of your bladder can all make it even harder to see.

Xrayem- Thank you so much for your post. I did have a tran-vaginal sno and there was only a sac and yolk. I would have felt better if the pole was there but I guess Monday will tell!

I measured 3 days smaller and was told up to a week smaller or bigger is absolutely normal. Also, our docs wont even look for a heartbeat till after 6 weeks 5 days...so if you are measuring smaller ...it is going to take a little longer. All perfectly normal. Try not to worry. Besides your retrieval date was our anniversary and your transfer date was my birthday...both are good luck dates. Good Luck.

Well hello ladies!!!
I went for another sono yearteday and still no heartbeat.
ER 5/26
ET 5/31
1st sono 5/18 saw a small black void which my doc said was going to be the gest sac
2nd sono 6/25 - should be 6w2d saw gest sac and yolk sac and only measured 5w2d
3rd sono 6/30 - should be 7w saw gest sac, yolk sac and fetal pole--no HB an only measured 5w6d
I am growing but a week behind!

What am I going to do??? Has anyone else measured small and saw the heartbeat late??? I am beginning to panic. I go for my next u/s next Monday 7/7...it seems so far away!!!
