hrobinson- So sorry to hear your news. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers- hug your dd tight. I have been thinking so much about that this is most likely our last try too- it's so hard and you just can't help but want it so bad...Take care of yourself.

Beth- How are you doing? It's good that your dh is so positive but it's hard too. And again, it's hard to know it might be your last try...it's probably our last try too. Even though we are all so blessed to have #1, you just can't help but think and hope it works again so you can experience that joy again. I always think about that I will know more of what I'm doing this time so I just so want to experience it all again. Sending you lots and lots of ++++++++++++++ baby dust! That's awesome that you quit caffeine so early- I was good like that the first 2 times, but this time I only just quit today so about a week before transfer-better late than never I guess!

Joyanna- Good to hear from you. Sounds like everything is moving along great for you- that's wonderful that your biopsy was good. And that's also awesome that you ditched caffeine and are doing accupuncture. I wish I had a place that did accupuncture around here- I might think about it then. Keep us posted on your progress and good luck.

Kim- How are you doing? Are you definitely doing a FET? Do you know your dates for sure now?

Yellow- How are you doing? Did you have dd's birthday party yet? Are you going to be taking PIO shots? I have a lining check on Friday and then I should start PIO and everything else on Saturday. I can't believe the time is getting really close now! It just has to be lucky that we have our transfers the same day!!

Take care all, Laura

Hi Laura:
Thanks for checking in. I had my RE consult this week and finally have dates. My FET will be July 30. I am so nervous this time, and second guessing everything! As you know, this is also my last time...

I asked the RE to change the protocol slightly since I have had 3 failed FET's. So, we are changing the type of progesterone and they are giving me the choice of doing either Syneral Nasal Spray or the Lupron. Any advice?
Laura, what is your protocol?? Yellow???
Beth, hope you are hanging in there...
Baby dust to all,

Hello all

Haven't been on the board for so long – and was so very very good to hear what is happening with all of you. I have tried to have this whole baby thing out of mind, but it is funny coming back and reading the posts - its literally like an edge of the seat soap opera - I literally feel jittery just from all the highs and lows going on with where everyone is at. Ohhhhhhhhh such big huge hopes we have with everything riding on it. I just wish so bad there was something that could be done, to just make us all be pregnant!!

HRobinson   really am so bummed that you got a BFN, reaching this point in the road must just be such a hard wall to face - I am already consumed by fear at anticipating facing the same thing when we try IVF again - I think its just one more cycle for us too (or boom or bust and having to live on the street!).

Beth - everything is crossed - come on get this July going with a big fat old BFP!!! Baby dust and huge bfp vibes to you.

Laura and Yellow - july 3rd girls! Less than a week to go, hope your hanging in there with the wait. In seems a long time in coming around.

Hello too to Kimmy, must be good to get the dates, so you can start the daily count down (oh so much waiting and anticipation!)

Joyanna - I'd be really keen to hear about the acu. I am thinking of trying it myself this time, and wondered how long I should be doing it before the IVF cycle. I am so under par and just washed out its probably going to take a lot more than a few needles to boost my chances at this point though!

No other dates for me yet, just July 17th for consultation with specialist. Things have continued otherwise to be upside down since my last post. I thought the M/C with all its unpleasant pain and hospital dramas were over – but after two weeks, with continued slow blood flow, things started to go a bit weird and then last week (in the lift at work!!) I started to bleed torrentially and had to be rushed to hospital where I spent another day with them checking and poking and trying to remove the MIA leftovers (with forceps!) . . . and then they sent me home, where right upon getting home and through the door - I started hemoragging and had to be rushed back to A and E for a D & C to finally sort everything out! AAAGGGGGGRRR!

Talk about drawing the short straw! I'm so sorry if TMI, I know this isn't the right place, but I feel this awful urge to just get all this off my chest, but kind of don't know who to bring down with the details! So thanks for being my ear and listening to the crap. Hopefully that bit of stink luck will make up a good balance and be this threads quota of the bum stuff for this month - meaning we are now due a massive amount of good luck. Wahoo!

Hello everyone

Melo - it is lovely to hear from you and I am very sad to hear about your horrible experience. I am not surprised that you are completely exhausted. I find the acupuncture really good. I did it weekly for about 6 months before I got pregnant with dd. I have just started acupuncture in the past 3 weeks .......with 5 weeks to go to the ET (I am doing it weekly) - i found it hard to find a good acpuncturist locally.

Laura and Yellow - good luck with the FET next week.

Beth - hope you are ok on the 2ww and lots of ++++ vibes to you.

Kimmy - Hopefully I will be joining you for the 2ww on 30 July. All going ok for me, I will have my ET on 28 or 29 July but I have to get through the ER yet which has been touch and go for me in the past 2 live ivf cycles that I did (borderline ohss)

hrobinson - thinking of you.

No more news. I live in Dublin and the summer weather is just awful. Just wondering if it is the weather or do all of you find the ivf cycle and drugs just so tiring ....I am only on the bcp (granted for the past 5 weeks and have done 3 fets back to back so I guess I am full of meds) and I feel so lethargic!!!

hope you all well and chat soon again ....

Hi all,

Kim- I have only ever done the lupron but the nasal spray sounds like a nice option. My protocol was bcp for 2-3 weeks, then lupron for about 14 days. After that, I added in Estrace tabs, estrogen patches and baby aspirin. Tomorrow, I add in PIO shots, Crinone gel, Medrol and an antibiotic and I stop the lupron. So there's a whole bunch of meds right before the transfer. Hope all is going well for you and hope that these last FETs are lucky ones for both of us!

Mel- So so sorry for all you had to endure- we are all here for support and for you to absolutely vent to. There's no TMI with all this we all go through. It definitely helps to get it all out so feel free to do that. Again, I'm so sorry that you had to go through so much and even end up in the hospital (a couple times, right?) Take care and keep venting as much as you need.

Joyanna- I've definitely been very tired- actually this FET more so than the last one. I'm sure the summer heat doesn't help anything. And those darn bcp and lupron and estrogen and and and and...!!!!!!

I had my lining check today and it was 9 something so they said I'm good to go for Thursday. I'm excited and just really hoping #2 or #2 and #3 are in my future.

Take care all, Laura

Beth- I'm so very sorry...it's not fair...I really was hoping and praying for you. I know it's so hard to do, but take time for you and hug your dh and dd very tight. Crying is what you have to do...every single of the many IUIs we did and this last FET, I always cried hard when they didn't work. You are in my thoughts and prayers and we are all here for support.

Beth- I am so sorry that you got a BFN. I for one can sympathise with you. It is all too fresh for me. I will keep you, dh, and dd in my prayers. Give them an extra hug tonight and thank God for both of them.
First thing I did when I got my BFN on the stick was to go get myself a tall cup of coffee. I think that was the hardest thing to give up. so, I guess I have fallen off the wagon again
Will you try again?

hrobinson & beth, i'm so sorry to hear about your bfn's. What a crappy, frustrating game this is. Go through so much and have it come to nothing. Ouch. I know it hurts. Hug your little families. You two are in my thoughts and prayers.

All, I'm sorry I haven't been on the boards much. I feel like I've missed so much. My sister was staying with us for a few days. I love her help with dd and we have a great time, but it doesn't leave much computer time for me.

We're moving July 7. We had a going away party yesterday. I had a few emotional moments with friends we'll be leaving behind. I love this city and I'm sad to go. Up until yesterday, I was pretty excited about our move. We're leaving Chicago for Champaign, IL. We'll have a yard and a garage and all that stuff that makes suburban life so comfortable, but we're leaving good friends and a city I love. Oh, I'm crying again.

All this move stuff keeps me from obsessing over the FET. I had a lining check on Friday, like Laura. My lining was 11.8. Is that too thick? The nurse said it was good, but it seems kind of thick. Oh, I don't want to worry about this. I had my last lupron shot this morning. I start PIO tomorrow. The only other drug I'm taking is estrace. A +++ would sure lessen the  of moving.

Melo, so sorry about your miscarriage troubles. Of course it's not TMI. Your supposed to tell your friends about what you're going through. We're your friends and we're here for you! !!!Hugs!!!

Kimmy & Joyanna, hello to you guys, and good luck!

Laura and Yellow:
Just wanted to wish you luck on July 3rd. How exciting to be PUPO.
Yellow, we used to live in downtown Chicago...great city!!! However, you will love the "burbs" with all the grass etc.

Mel, I am just so sorry to hear about your experience. It just breaks my heart. (((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))

Hrobinson and Beth:
I am so sorry to hear about your negative beta's. I belive it was the last try for both of you...(I have 1 last try this month). Any chance of changing your mind, and trying again? Either way, I hope you can find peace. I know I will be a mess if my FET is negative.

Hope everyone has a nice July 4th weekend. I will be checking in to see how everyone is doing.

kimmysq, thanks for the well wishes. I hope I do love the 'burbs.

hrobinson & beth, sorry again for your negative results. I feel like my head's been all over the place. I missed that you were both considering this the end of the ivf road. Is there any chance you'd reconsider? My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi all
Just a quick check in to see where everyone is at. Everything crossed for you guys yellow and laura - you guys need to turn the luck on this board around! I hope it all goes well.

Beth, HRobinson, hope you guys are feeling better - I know it must just be so hard right now.

For everyone else have a good holiday - am guessing you get a 4th July holiday on Friday? - (I live in New Zealand but my job covers Canadian and US market - so we actually "celebrated" Canada day on July 1st twice this week on both Tuesday and Wednesday- (as we are one day ahead here in NZ) ... Then Thursday is my birthday, and Friday is Independence day! So have had, (and plan to have quite a few more!) glasses of wine :? - and very enjoyable they have been too!

thanks too for all the kind words and thoughts. This thread and all you guys on here are a real lifesaver :) :)
