MzTia - I've got you in my prayers, girl...

ImBlessed - So cool that you got to see your embie on the big screen!! Congrats!

Dakota - AWESOME beta numbers!!! You and your DH must be elated! Anything specific you're doing to celebrate??

I called the doc today to get an update on my embies - I have been dying for a status report!!! I finally got to talk to the embryologist, and she was very vague, but she told me that more than half of my embies are high-grade and that they are right where they should be for day-3. She warned me that normally only 40-50% make it to day 5, but she thought it was looking good right now that we would have some great embies to transfer and at least a few to freeze. YAY! I won't hear anything more until Saturday when I go in for ET...the waiting is already killing me. Ugh!

MsTia- Don't give up yet! I took 6 tests and all of them came out negative! I took one the day before my first beta and there was a very very faint line for the positive. You had to almost squint your eyes to see it. I finally got my BFP the 2nd time I had my beta done! BABY DUST TO YOU!

Dakota- YEAH!!!!! Awesome beta!!!! Happy dance time! 43 is a great progesterone level! :P These are the levels I found online...most of the websites I've found have the same information.

First Trimester 9-47 ng/ml
Second Trimester 17-147 ng/ml
Third Trimester 55-200 ng/ml

I got my 5th beta number today......11,943 !!! WHOOHOO! Things are going wonderfully so far! So anyone who has doubts KEEP THE FAITH! :D
ER- 5/21 ET- 5/24
6/9- BFP

MzTia- Keep the faith. It's not over until you get your beta. Lots of PMA!!! I am wishing you the best!!!

Adsgirl- I am glad tha your embies are going strong and most are of good quality. I so know how you feel. Those 5 days were SO long. I had nightmares about my embies and of the day of transfer. One was where the bad "spun & discarded" sperm where attacking them embies trying to kill them and in my dream all the little sperm where the shape of sperm, but with little monster heads. I have the weirdest dreams (and so says turtles!!). I am sure everything is going well and I cant wait to hear how wonderful your blast turn out. You'll be PuPO very soon :D
DH & I are not quite celebrating yet. We are being very cautious with our emotions. I so bad what to be very excited, but I need to be cautious. I think once we make it to OB then we can celebrate. I cant wait!!!!!

HopefulIL- WOW!! You are really moving along. That is a fab #!! When is your next U/S?? Thanks so much for the info!!!! I know that the nurse had said they like to see a min of 10, and that the Dr was very pleased with my #. But no matter what, you tend to still be nervous about everything.

Hope all is well with everyone!!

IMBlessed – What a blessing to finally see your little bean, congrats!

Dakota – Wow, that’s an outstanding beta!

MzTia – Keep the PMA, there have been so many blessings on this forum and yours is next.

AdsGirl – Don’t they get it that we’re just sitting around waiting for them to give us info!! :) Great news on the little one’s looking great and strong.

Hopeful – You give me great hope that things really can go our way, congrats on the outstanding 5th beta.

Well I'm finally down to 3 days, beta is this Sunday! I almost broke down on the way home from work and purchased a HPT, but I didn't cave. I'm so dying to know the outcome, but so afraid of what I'll see. I'm trying my best to keep the PMA and I'm praying every single day that my dreams will finally come true..so just a few more days of waiting won't kill me, I guess :)

Love this thread, it is so active!
Thank-you for the welcome, it really helps to know that others are going through the same journey.

Mztia, good luck tomorrow, fingers crossed for you.
Dakota! Congratulations on your Beta!! You must be very relieved to know that all is going well.
Adsgirl, That sounds wonderful about your little embies. Only 1 1/2 more days to go! My RE says 3 days of bedrest and then 2 days of light activity. Last time I pretty much followed that to the letter, so this time I think I'm going to ease up on myself a bit more, and not take it quite so easy - plus I'l be back to work on the Tuesday anyhow.... It was nice to have DH doing so much to help though  Did you decide on the number of embies to put back? I think for me it can only be two max as I'm 31.
ImBlessed, how wonderful to have seen ur little embies heartbeat! Congrats to you both!
As for the back to back without BCPs, I didn't have BCPs for the first cycle either, cos time wasn't on my side with insurance, and had one big ole cyst on the right, so very lucky not to have any cysts this time. My RE prefers to use BCPs to get everything lined up right, but you can twist his arm!!

So, I got my FR this morning, and only 4 out of the 7 eggs were mature, but they all fertilized with ICSI thank goodness. The embryologist said hopefully it will still be a Sat Tx, but we'll find out for sure in the morning.

BTW, got my mother in law (she's a phlebotomist sp?) to do my PIO shot tonight as DH was working, and did it standing up for the first time and NO PAIN!! Didn't even feel the needle going in

:D so from now on that's the way for me!!

Question about prunes and prune juice. I've been getting alot of great advice to try prune juice to help with my issues  . The only thing is I cant have juice due to being IR. I've done some research and found that dried prunes are very low on the GI system and even help promote in lowering blood sugar. Do you think dried prunes will be as effective as the juice. I am getting very, very uncomfortable with the pressure  and am willing to try anything at this point that wont put the babe(s) in jeopordy.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Dakota,
I don't know about prunes vs prune juice - I would think it probably does the same job?
I had that problem a few months back for some unknown reason, and read a bunch of stuff on what I could do, and ended up taking 1 tsp of baking soda in a glass of water  I have to say it tasted super nasty, but it did the trick v well!!
You could try this if you can hold your nose while drinking it so it doesn't taste so yucky!

I bought dried prunes and prune juice. I am starting it now! I am only going to drink about 3 oz while I eat the prunes. Hope this works :o

Dakota - What is IR? I don't know anything about dried prunes. I don't like prunes, so I prefer to drink the juice versus eating the prunes. But let me know how it works out.

Imblessed- IR is insulin resistant. I tried the mixture this am, I didnt get the reaction that I was reading about, but it did help with some of the relief. Although, I did read that you are suppose to drink and eat the prunes on an empty stomach and I did it with breakfast. So I'll try again in the morning.

Dakota - if the prunes don't work you should try some medicine. The list my doctor gave me said it is o.k. to take milk of magnesia, doxidan, metamucil, or colace. Good luck!! I know you must be feeling pretty uncomfortable.

- Glad your 4 fertilized. My DH did the shot great the first few times. It didn't hurt at all. Some were laying down, some standing up. Now he is doing something different because the last couple of times hurt!! Didn't make a difference standing up or laying down. He is just not jabbing as quick as he used to.

angram - Wow, what will power you have. I have discovered I have none. I POAS every morning even though I am only 5dp3dt. I bought a pack of 25 test and figure I should use them all. :) Good luck on Sunday!!

Adsgirl - Tomorrow is your day. Woo hoo! Bet you are glad to be getting them back inside you. I hope your little embies are dividing great!! Any decision on how many yet? Good luck.

Well, I am doing good. Less than a week now for my beta :D
