Anyone got the white stuff called snow?

Post by bubblymichelle »

Just seeing if anyone has got the snow, I know its been on the forecast for ages and wondered if its happened for any of you.

I live in West Midlands and we don't have any yet, but I have been speaking to someone in Gateshead who has 2 inches so far.

Just being nosy as per usual.

Love
Shell.

We had a small flurry in Edinburgh but not enough to settle on the ground. I'm an Aussie so I'm hoping for some serious snow. I'd love to build a snowman in the back garden!

Hi Everyone,

Well woke up in the night, mind that is an under statement I have spent majority of my night awake. I had some tummy pains but they have gone again this morning. It wasn't snowing, then when DH went to work at 03:00 we had some snow but it wasn't enough to stick on the floor. Well now it is coming down so fast its been snowing for the last half hour and already the snow is settled. I was going shopping tonight to get some bits and pieces but if its like this then I won't be venturing out. I really hope it clears because knowing me I will end up at the hospital today.

Morning Shell

I posted to you on the other side about snow. We did get snow in Redhill, Surrey last night but it was pathetic!!!! It looked lovely at 3am on one of my many toilet runs but it's all but gone now. RUBBISH! Call that snow? It's embarasssing!

I expect that's it for the year now.

Hi Dagny,

Well it wasn't snowing here when Lee went to work at 03:00 but now its stopped but we do have snow on the ground about half an inch. I have my heating on so its nice and warm and just waiting for Lee to come home and I will do him some dinner.

We don't really want any snow though do we even though it looks nice, saying that our sky is full of it, I keep looking out the window and thinking it looks nice but thats as far as it goes.

Hi Shell
I live about 10 miles from Newcastle and the snow is lying a couple of inches here. Nice thick proper white snow, only thing by the end of the day it will probably be dirty slush and if it is so cold tomorrow then it will be horrible ice. So pleased I am on holiday this week, at least I don't really need to leave the house. I don't think that ringing work and telling them I am scared of falling over would allow me a day off!!

You stay in and keep warm, you will need to conserve your energy for this weekend.

Hi

I live in Ayrsire Scotland and we have snow a couple of inches and the wind is getting up. Phoned Dh to let him know and when he left at 6am there was none. When i got up at 8.30 there was a couple of inches. I'm watching all the cars and lorries turning at an entrance over the road, the road i live on must be shut further along.Luckily it doesn't go anywhere interesting. Kids must be off school as well i've seen a few about with the sleighs.

I'm frozen my heating packed in and i have no hot water. Thankgod for gas and electric showers. They said they would be here before 6pm. I would go to my mums but the cars a bit snowed in and i hate driving in it.

Beautiful though i have a great view of fields out my back.

Hi Sarah

My DH was working in Hamble today and left there about 6pm. I rang him as we had gale force winds and thunder and lightening and bezerk snow to see if he had it there. He hit it on the way home and the M3 was at a crawl so you had it just after us by the sound of it. Wasn't it amazing how quickly it went white? It's still really windy here.

Hope you are ok and I hope those flippin' builders are getting a wriggle on.

Take care love Dagny xx
