Holy Cow! Aren't we busy little mommies of twins around here! Oh, and Dads! :D

Crogers! So very happy for you! Let us know what you want some advised on as it comes and this group of women will help you out for sure! Lots of great mommies on here to suggest things and I think you will be happy you joined this thread! I know I am! Congrats to you and dh!

Sameera~ PHEW!!! You can relax a little now. . . literally! Sounds like you have a great OB. Take it easy and cook those little bambinos! :D Glad to hear your good news!

Maz~ Congrats to you! We love all the new parents here. What a great day for you and dh! Take care of yourself and welcome aboard!

Stephjim~ Love the b/g twins! I'm glad things are better and no more bleeding. Take care!

Vickersx3~ BEAUTIFUL babies! Make me so sad mine are getting so big. Love on em' for me!

We had a play date today with twins only 2 weeks younger than mine. Josie and Andie, identical twin girls. I LOVE identicals!!!! I would seriously avhe twins all over again in a second if I knew it would be identicals. I'm a sucker for them!
We hit the lake yesterday and the babies were NOT happy about it. Bodie was not a fan of the life-jacket and they both missed their naps, I broke my toe and we left early. We were still out there for 4.5 hours which is long enough for me with the kids but dh was bummed we didn't last until the BBQ. What can ya do? Last week they did great and yesterday, not so much. Tomorrow the river and they love that so no worried. It's over 100 degrees here so we need something to wet us down!

better run. HAve a great night everyone!

kholtan---ow! So sorry to hear you broke your toe! take it easy. 100 degrees? I hate when it's that hot. Hope you all can manage to stay cool. BTW--I see your babies are over the 10 month mark...how? Are you already planning their shindig?

sameera--feel better!

vickers--How's your little girl doing? I hope both babies are home with you and you're too busy to check in!

Kim~ Planning a shindig???? Right now I am in charge of this big party we are having for our friends in 2.5 weeks and I am slacking on that one! UGH!!! I think that although there will be lots of people at the kids party I am going to keep it simple. Easy afternoon snacks, beverages and maybe cupcakes plus the babies own little cakes. I thought about doing it at teh zoo with the theme "It's been a wild year" but I don't know since so many adults will be coming w/o any children. Plus, it's our dog Lucy's b-day as well and we always have a dog party for her so we may have to combine?? Seriously!
My toe. . .killing me! I walk with a nice limp and all shoes are killers!

Must go, carpets are getting cleaned and I like to remove all furniture from the living room. Lots of heavy lifting to do while my babies sleep!

TTFN~

Hi Ladies -
I would also love to join. I have already been lurking but wanted to wait until my 2nd ultrasound to make sure everything is going good. I will be 9 weeks this Friday. We had the U/S yesterday and they are kicking butt. We got to hear the heartbeats and they both moved for us. So amazing!

The twins thing is overwhelming bu I am thrilled. I know I am going to have loads of questions for you seasoned twins parents.

Thank you!!

Wow, we have a lot of new twin mommies here! Congratulations, croger, maz and rubylee. It's so special to have twins! Ask us any questions and we'll try to help as much as possible.

Kimberley, sorry you broke your toe! Oh my gosh, that must have been painful. You still were on the boat for 4.5 hours? WoW! Well, I understand owning a boat is expensive... Yet alone we don't even own a pick-up truck! It would be nice though to have one!

Vickers!! Wow, gorgeous babies!! So sweet... Takes me back when my twins were newborns. It's only 4 and half months ago and they grow up so fast! Congratulations again.

Sameera, it's a great news! I forgot to say that I also bled up until 22 weeks or so. I had a sub something hemorrage?? I forgot what it was called... But doctors said most bleeding should stop around 20 weeks and it did. Are you going to find out the sex?

stephjim - it's pretty special to have b/g twins. There is something about having both pink and blue in the little crib. Congratulations!

My DH's gone this week so I am by myself with the kids. The last couple of days were not so good as it was just so stinkin hot. In Seattle area, most homes don't have A/C like mine. So, it was 83 degrees in the house and the babies and my DS were very upset and would not sleep. I just could not find time to eat which is my fault, but when I dropped Sean off at his daycare, I stopped by a drive through and got food poisoned! So, I was quite sick but then I had these babies to care for... You can imagine how horrible it was. It's starting to cool down a bit and things are getting better. I just have 2 and half days left before he comes home. Cannot wait!

Anyway, I better feed Alyson before it gets too late!

Take care!

Tolbee - I hope you feel better that sucks you got food poisioning it's horrible!

yes, I do plan to find out sex of the babies - I'm already 14weeks and the ultrasound tech said that the soonest you could tell would be around 16-18 weeks..

I go back in 2 weeks so I'm reallyyyy hoping she could tell me then but if not I can wait!

I just am ready to start the nursery and what not you know what i mean - I don't want to wait till the last minute to get everything started - you just never know how you would be feeling as this pregnancy progress.

Sameera~ Isn't it exciting to be so close to knowing what you are having? I was expecting 2 boys and when I heard b/g I was so thrilled! Anything would have been perfect but now I can not be trying for anything with #3. What are your nursery ideas? I love that part the most in the planning stage. Good luck! I should have started mine much earlier than I did. Technically it's not done yet!

Kimi~ Food poisoning! YIKES! Bummmer! I had a cold once and that was as bad as I ever want again. It's hard to care for anyone else when all you want to do is sleep in and go to bed early! Glad the days are winding down and dh is almost home. It will get easier, hand in there! We too have a hot house but we do have a/c. We just never turn it on. We're one of those freaky couples that can tolerate it although we have had it running while the temps ahve been reaching 100degrees around here. Still, I don't like the cold air and neither does dh so when we have house guests we have to remind them to take charge of the a/c or suffer!

Busy day and I have become queen of procrastination already! :D

Take care~Kimberly

Tolbee--so sorry to hear about the food poisoning! I can't even imagine! ugh. As for the a/c, I'm a wimp about temperature. I guess I'm spoiled. We have an older home, and our upstairs gets very hot, so we have the a/c running on most days. Some days when it's cooler (like the 70's) outside, I'll turn it off. I can tell the babies don't like it, because they don't sleep very well. So, I end up keeping the a/c on. Do you have a window unit you could put in their nursery? That might help.

rubylee--congratulations! Welcome!

Kholtan--you were moving furniture with a broken toe? You go girl! I SOOOO need to get my carpets cleaned. How do yours look?

My kiddos are napping right now. I've set up our little pool in the backyard, and we're going to swim today. They LOVE their little pool.

Kim~ Carpets look better for sure but I like things to look new and new they don't. Oh well. Annelise spit up on the fresh carpets just hours later anyway and Lucy came in with mud on her paws just an hour later so I say "Mercy!" Can't seem to win. At least I'm no longer the neat freak I once was. You use to be able to eat off any surface in my house 24/7 and now I'd be VERY careful of eating anywhere! Life changes for sure although I do try to do my best.

Seriously slacking in motivation today!
