Hi everyone...

It's been a week again. It's hard to keep up when they keep sticking me in all these other places besides where my desk actually is. So I was working for information services on thursday and friday doing support going from all these units that have a new program that my department has used for 4 years so I had to go from unit to unit and help. They gave me a pager which I swear did not stop on Thursday or Friday and I definitely had the wrong shoes on. I almost died when I got home both days. I was exhausted. At least I learned my lesson and wore better shoes the next time.

Sameera so to hear about your scare but sounds like things are looking good. Have you decided on a car yet?

Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing good!

I am 14 weeks now and don't have another ultrasound scheduled for 5 more weeks. :o Such a long wait. I really want to find out what we are having. I know it is early but we want to start preparing the room as I have been given quite a bit of stuff and the baby's room is furnished as a guest room at the moment.

I have also found myself a little moody lately. DH decided to redo our kitchen and living room floor as well as putting in a new stand up shower in our ensuite bathroom. I love the fact that he is doing it but I wish he finished one room before starting on the next room. My living room furniture is spread all over the house and so is my kitchen table and chairs and water cooler. All the new baseboards he installed need to be painted in both rooms. I have to work on saturday and i have a baby shower on sunday so I asked my uncle if he would come up for the weekend and help my dh get things under control and back to normal. It looks like after this weekend i will have my house back!

Sorry about the rambling. It's taken me about an hour and a half to type this as i keep getting interrupted.

Jenn

Sweet - Yay 14weeks isn't that amazing we made it this far!!

I'm really sorry about you being so busy and having to deal with being on page - it sucks! but hopefully you are done with that :)

I agree 5 weeks is a long wait but it will be here before we know it..I too wanna know what we are having so these few weeks will be exciting.

ooo sounds like your whole house is getting renovated :) but I agree with you about working one room at a time - I can only imagine how everything must be at your house but try not to stress about it. let your DH handle it.

Have you felt any movements??

Sameera - I haven't felt any movements yet. hopefully soon. I can't wait.

The house thing isn't too bad. I just spend most of my time in the basement with a big comfy blanket since it's freezing down there!

So I tried yesterday to look at photobucket but I can't do it at work. i am going to try tonight since i won't be as busy as I was last night.

Are you feeling any movements yet?

When do you find out what your having?

Jenn - I have started feeling movements and it's so amazing and cool at the same time!

I go back in 2 weeks for another scan and appt - July 14th and I'm really hoping that the tech would be able to tell me whether it's a girl or a boy!!

I haven't uploaded by scans yet on that site - I will do that tonight too :)

Sameera - that's awesome that you can feel the movements already. I don't have my next ultrasound until Aug 6th!

I do have my next OB appointment on July 24th though.

I will try and get my scanner hooked up again. I just got a new computer not that long ago and haven't set it up yet and then I can upload my pictures as well!

Hi fellow mommies to be!
I haven't had much time to post b/c of work.
Does anyone still have m/s? I still have nausea throughout the day...I was hoping it would magically go away at 12 weeks, I guess that was wishful thinking!

sameera- I understand your pains with DH...my DH goes to work at 5am but is usually home by 10am, noon at the latest. I asked him to do dishes and put up his laundry yesterday....when I got home at 5pm it still wasn't done! I was so frustrated...I was like, what the hell did you do for 5 hours???? My house is in totally disarray, but I refuse to pick up after him like a child, so its going to stay that way until he pitches in.
YOu are already feeling the babies?? I am so jealous! I guess 2nd time mommies feel it sooner? The only thing I feel is gas!

jenn- sorry to hear about your miserable work week. If it makes you feel better, I wear sneakers to work and I still have aching feet. I think its a pregnancy thing too. I have a pager for work too, but I am only on call every 6 weeks, thankfully. THe upside to the home remodeling is that your DH can do it! My DH, I love him to death, but he is NOT handy around the house. We tried putting in a screen door for the back porch and it took us 3 days.

tinnots- My boobs itch too, I am slowly starting to outgrow my bras. Maybe the skin is stretching?? TMI, but I my peach fuzz on my tummy is starting to get more like hair....DH said I look like a gorilla! Apparently that can happen during pregnancy too. GOod to know!

God bless!

Hi Michele!

I agree with you on DH. He should be alot more helpful. He only works 5 hours and has plenty of time to help out.

My DH is really handy. He can do anything! He has so many ideas and just loves to get started but I wish he would just stick to one thing at time.

My m/s is still kicking about. I thought it would go away by now too but it looks like it's going to stay around for the long haul.

Still exhausted. I am still sleeping 9-10 hours a night and can barely function at work. It's such an awful feeling. I was hoping it would get better by now but it doesn't look like it is. I think I might have to start taking every friday off and make my week a 4 day week. I have almost 5 weeks vacation so I think I should take advantage of it.

jenn-
I try to sleep around 9 hours a night, but I always have to get up to potty and then I can't get comfy. I am not big or showing yet, but I can't sleep on my belly anymore. So I try to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs, but even that doesn't help. I am thinking of buying one of those pregnancy people.
I would so love to have a 4 day work week...if you use your vacation will that take away from the maternity leave? If it doesn't then use it girl!!

God Bless!

Chelly - OMG i thought I was the only one who looked like gorilla with all these hair growing!!

my dh makes fun of me too and he says I need to be more lady a like /sexy and shave as much as possible - I'm like uh NO!! because I'm tired and what you see is what you get :) LOL

Yes, I agree DH sucks at cleaning up and picking up stuff after them - my dh his computer room/basement is a wreck. That's why I refuse to go downstairs and look at the mess and be frustrated.

so I can totally relate to you on that but just ignore it - nothing you can do to change them!

speaking of bras yeah I feel like I need new ones too but I don't want to go get new ones YET cause i'm only gonna get bigger..

I'm really sorry about your m/s and exhaustion but hopefully you can rest on the weekend.

this is just TMI but i dunno if you guys have experienced this yet - my nipples have been getting crusted every freaking day. I clean them up with the warm water but supposedly it's common in pregnancy but I never experienced this with my first pregnancy.

Michele - My vacation doesn't take away from my maternity leave. I am thinking that I will have my OB right me off work at the beginning of December since I am due Jan 1st anyway and then I won't have to worry about driving and sitting in traffic in the middle of winter! I also will get sick pay for the month of december which is full pay then I will still get my 1 year maternity. Love working in a hospital. I also will accumulate 4 weeks vacation while I am on maternity leave!

I also get up to pee at least once or twice a night and i have no trouble falling back to sleep. i just can't seem to get enough of it though.

Sameera - I haven't had any problems with my nipples except them being a little sensitive. My breasts still hurt quite a bit at night. I am also hoping my breasts don't get much bigger because they are too big already.

sameera- yes i have crusty nipples too. and a hairy tummy. and my skin is flaking off. and stuff coming out of my va-jayjay all the time. I am surprised my DH still wants to sleep in the same bed as me!
I supposed I put up with his laziness, and he puts up with my pregnancy induced craziness! I so want to go buy stuff for the nursery...but I keep telling myself to wait until we know the sex.

jenn- I would totally agree with taking off early december. why risk going out in that cold weather and getting sick right? plus, with all the holidays in december might as well be off. I'm not due until jan 13th, I will probably work up until the birth. Hopefully I wont go into labor at work!

oh, today one of my patients jabbed me in my tummy on accident. I was pissed! It wasn't hard or anything and the lady didn't mean to, but of course I was worried.

God Bless!

Michele - sorry to hear about your jab accident. At least she didn't do it on purpose.

i also have the same problem with the v-a. I would be happy if it was to go away.

I am dying to do the nursery but I too am waiting until I find out what I'm having. When do you get to find out? I am hoping to find out on Aug 6th. I hope the baby is in the right position.

Hello everyone and Happy July 4th if you're celebrating. (We don't have any summer celebrations, but the sun is shining, so yay!)

Chelly - what does TMI mean? I've always been a bit 'gorilla'-like on my belly and I have dark hair, so it's really attractive. I usually epilate or wax, but I can't face traumatising the baby! "ouch - what are you doing out there?" Maybe I ought to try a bit harder. My legs are like a forest and I want to wear shorts now. At least no crusty nipples, but they are a bit nobbly. The discharge started this week - get out the tiara - I'm a beauty queen! :D Sorry to hear you still have m/s. I'm nearly 12 weeks so I'm hoping....

Sameera - wow- you can feel the baby already! Jealous (no green emoticon - use your imagination!) I need some new bras too, but what do you do? They're expensive and as you say, we'll grow out of them soon. Have to say, I'm enjoying this bit of extra cleavage at the mo!

Sweet - Hope your exhaustion goes soon. It's not easy, especially if your work is hard and you're on your feet a lot. Taking 4-day weeks is a good idea if you can. Sounds like you have a lot going on at home. We're planning a new kitchen and it's very exciting, but will get the pros in or it'll never get done. DH is good, but not that good!

I'm not due till Jan 20, so will probably stop work at Xmas when the office shuts for a week anyway. The weather's not too bad in December here.

Have a good weekend all. I'm off to another 'pretend I don't have a bump' party tomorrow. Clothing options are running out - only one more week till scan and then I'll 'declare' - hooray!

Last pregnancy for me, the morning sickness and the exhaustion eased at around 14-16 wks, not at 12. So if its not gone for you yet, there's still hope. Enjoy the middle part of pregnancy, its the best part. I'm starting to nest for this baby too. I've gotten out some of the baby stuff and I'm clearing stuff out of the spare room.

Topping all the other symptoms you guys have, I got my first hemmorhoid of this pregnancy. Too much lifting yesterday, I guess. Very gross. DH was amorous last night and I wouldn't let him near me, lol.

And woke up this morning with my whole house smelling like a hotdog. One of the neighbours had a campfire last night, and the smoke must have been blowing in our direction. Not good, as my nose is very sensitive right now, and it actually felt like I had the hotdog taste in my mouth... ugh.

Last pregnancy the nose thing was so sensitive DH tooted in bed ~ which woke me up because it made me puke. Nice.

Hope you're all hanging in there.
