Hey girls!

Angie~ Hopefully those little cramps are gearing you up for the big day! Sometimes that's how labor starts but then again sometimes that kind of stuff can go on for weeks. But no matter what...Wombat will be with us by Sunday! Are you dilated at all? Oh and BTW...if you do end up getting induced, don't forget to eat on the way to the hospital. I always feel so sorry for those people that get to the hospital and say "I'm hungry, can I eat" and unfortunately we have to say "not anymore".

Tina~ Glad to hear you and Noah are doing well. Sounds like he's a good sized boy already! I can't believe he's not too far from being here either. I know we always say it but I really feel like your pregnancy went by fast.
And yes to answer your question...we do cook for the dog. My husband loves this dog. I do to but not like him. I think I mentioned before that he loves her as much as he loves me, almost. So when all this was going on with her he said we will do what we have to do. So to be honest, he has done most of the cooking for her. He's good like that. If it was all up to me the poor thing would have probably already missed a meal or two by now.

How is everyone else?
Sassy~ Anything new? I thought you weren't working anymore...and I thought that would mean we would get to hear from you more often?? We're in need of an update!
Fee~ How's Rio?
Vicky~ Hope you and Benjamin are doing well. Give him kisses from the sistas.

I have been busy fighting off hives. Oh yeah...it's always somethin! I started getting a rash and some hives like a week and a half ago. They were getting worse but I would take Benadryl and go to bed and they would usually be better in the morning. DH was getting mad at me cuz he kept telling me to go to the doctor and I kept saying they would go away. Well they didn't and this weekend I was at work one night and I had hives EVERYWHERE! They progressively got worse until they completely covered my body, & my whole body was swelling. Then the girls at work said you need to go to the ER because your neck and face are starting to swell. Then about a half hour later I was like "Um I'm having trouble swallowing" so needless to say I went to the ER. They gave me meds there and I went home with Prednisone. Up until today it was getting better then it started again this morning. I don't know what's going on with me. DH and I both have racked our brains trying to figure out what it is but nothing is new. I guess we'll see what happens. I'm just hoping to never again have a repeat of the other night!

Hey girls, sorry that I have been MIA for some days. Benjamin had jaundice and since his levels were quite high we had to admit him to NICU so he could be placed under the lamp, fortunately everything went ok and his bilirrubin levels came back down again very fast, so we are back home now since Friday.

Nickster.....those hives sound really bad, hope you don't get any one of those episodes again!!!

Angie....you are almost there, drink tons of raspberry tea, my OB told me about it and as you can see it worked for me  (maybe it wasn't the tea, but anyway  )

Sassy.....where are you??????

ok girls, will try to post some pictures on photobucket....

Vicky~ he is soo cute! I'm glad everyhting is going good and he is home for good! Anna had jaundice but she only had to spend a day and a half under the lights. It killed me to not have her in the room with me, I can't imagine having to go to the NICU! Keep us updated, and take care!

Nickster~that sounds awful! I hope you are able to keep them away for good!

Vicky - Benjamin is a sweetie - I am glad he is back home now with you - congratulations again - thanks for the raspberry tea tip - a couple of people have mentioned it - I must get some!

Nothing is happening at all - not even any cramps ! I am willing the cramps to come back - who would ever want to do that? Have been for a swim this morning and now I am going to hibernate as it is cold and wet outside. As it is my last week I am eating everything which crosses my path!

NIckster - hope the lurgie has gone - doesn't sound like fun. Thanks for the tip on eating before - don't you worry about - I will - we go in SUnday night at 7pm so will have dinner before (no chance of me missing a meal - see above!)

Jenn and Anna - hope you are enjoying relaxing by the pool.

Meg - hope you are having a great holiday.

Tina - have you slowed down yet ??!!!

Fee - how is it over West ?- it is horrible here - pouring with rain but can't complain as we always need it. Finally our grass is green rather than brown.

And Sassy - we all need a triplet up date - hope you are well - we miss your posts.

Hey girls. Sorry for my long hiatus...

Robbo: gutted for you. Truly. I am so sorry this FET didn't work. And I wish you the very best in whatever path you decide to take from here.

Vicky: Congrats on Benjamin's birth!!! Fabulous news! Glad to hear the jaundice subsided and you are all back home.

Meg: Ohhhh, hoping you had a wonderful time on Cape Cod. Can't wait to hear how Lucy liked the beach.

Tina: sounds like a great shower!

Angie: I think you have a fabulous idea--- eat whatever you want now BEFORE wombat arrives. I am perfectly happy to send the contractions I am having to you trans-pacific mail. Here they come! I'm hoping something kicks into gear for you this week.

Nickster:I can't believe all the special cooking and mixing you have to do for her food. Having a dog sounds like a lot of work... What's up with the hives thing? Did you figure out what caused it? Freaky.

Ok, so news on the triplet front....
I started contracting about 3 weeks ago. Cervix wasn't changing, but I was having sometimes several an hour so they started me on a low dose of oral medications. I was able to drive to LA for my brother's wedding 10 days ago (Yay!) and had a great time, although I still spent hours horizontal in the hotel. Two days after getting home the contractions returned with a vengeance (often >10/hr) so the medication was doubled. Even more disturbing is that my blood pressure continues to rise. So far not much swelling and no protein in my urine. But the babies are dropping off the growth curve more than expected for triplets, so when you put all those things together, Dr. Peri is concerned that I am heading into preeclampsia. As a result I have been on bed rest for the last week. It hasn't really been so bad. I was prepared to be on bed rest and had collected all sorts of projects I can do and books I want to read (for example, I taught myself to crochet!). I just wasn't expecting it to happen quite so early. I go into the doctor's twice a week and the first time my urine shows protein, I will be hospitalized. In the mean time, he wants me in our pool every day (something about redistribution of fluid) which is fabulous. It is my only chance to get outside. As it is very HOT here in Vegas, you can bet I now have a rockin' tan on my arms, chest and back!

We will reach viability this weekend, and then every week after that will be an accomplishment. I am hoping for several weeks of very boring, uneventful bed rest  I promise to a better sista.... I was just in one of those funks.

Hope you are all well!

Sassy~ Good to hear from you, glad you are doing ok, sorry about having to do bedrest so early! I am so glad you reach viability this weekend! Woo Hoo! Cyber party for Sassy and the triplets! I bet it will be a relief to make it this far and you will make it much farther. How long do triplets typically go before they come out? Enjoy your time in the pool!

Have a good 4th of July weekend everyone. Hopefully you and your DH's have some time off of work!!

Hi everyone,

Great to hear from you Sassy - sorry to hear about the stress of the last few weeks. Good luck with the bed rest - come on-line whenever you like - we are hear to entertain you.

I Just had acu for the last time - it really hurt - she was twisting those needles in hard. I think they forgot about me too as normally chinese dr lady's husband "Flank" (Frank) comes in mid way through to remove the glass cups but I lay there for what seemed like hours. Finally when they pulled the cup off I had an enormous red mark almost like a welt - it is going to take days to fade - am sure I will get even more odd looks at the pool - I already get people looking anxiously at me thinking I'm about to give birth there - some smart ass asked me if I was there for a water birth!

So keep up the swimming Sassy - I am loving it too - does bed rest include floating on a lie-lo? Hope so ! And send me any contractions you like - I will welcome them.

OK - off to find some else to eat.

Angie - You crack me up! The comment about the idiot at the pool asking if you were there for a water birth is hilarious. I can't believe you still have not delivered! Please don't let that be me!! Noah is already so big in my mind and I fail to see how I can deliver a baby beyond 7 pounds. It scares me to think! Perhaps you will deliver on July 4th in honor of our holiday over here in the States??? I am so anxious for you!!! I am with you on the eating thing - screw it!! You are almost there!!! Enjoy and keep us posted!!!

Sassy - You poor thing! I am sure what you are going through is tough. Carrying just one baby is enough for me - I am sure it is tough on you. And Vegas is so flippin hot!! Hang in there and every week is a major accomplishment. We will all be thinking about you!! Please keep us posted and please know we are here for you!!

Nickster - I agree that my pregnancy seems like it has flown by. I feel blessed tht it has been so issue-free also. I keep waiting for something to go wrong, but so far, so good. How is the doggy?

Vicky - how is mommyhood?? Benjamin is just so damn cute. I am so happy for you! Are you getting any sleep?? Make it sound easy for me, please! :) I am sorry about the jaundice but glad all is better now. He is incredibly cute.

Well ladies, I had quite the troubling situation happen this evening. I went out walking with a couple of neighbors and all of a sudden, I turn and see my three idiot dogs running down one of the major streets in our neighborhood. They got out of the fence because part of the stupid thing is knocked down because of the pool getting built (or for now NOT getting built - but that is another flippin story!). So, anyway, my neighbor goes running after them and not thinking, SO DO I!! Yep, my fat pregnant ass starts JOGGING down the street...at a nice pace if I do say so myself...before my neighbor turns and says, "Tina, you should not be running! I will go after them!!!". Not be running??? HUH??? Why didn't I think of that??? Well ladies, when I slowed my pace, I was feeling pretty proud of myself for all of about 3 seconds and then I felt a pain in my joint where my leg meets my stomach that.... HOLY SH-T!! IT HURT!!!
Needless to say, I think I will save my future jogging episodes for after Noah arrives. I think he is pissed off at me too as he has been kicking up a storm ever since. I think I ruined his "chi"!!

Oh - and did I mention that Noah appears to have a bit of a mullet?? You know, business in the front and party in the back?!?! The scan detected hair already growing on his head towards the back....looked like a mullet to me. Very disturbing. I am already concerned about having a hairy baby. Will the sistas chip in for some baby razors if I have to start shaving the little guy???? Please let me know.

Ok, better run...I mean, walk. I believe that jog did me in for a while....although it was beautiful for a moment....it was like I could hear the song "We Are The Champions" playing and there I was, hair blowing in the wind...ok, ok, enough......

Tina~ You are so freakin funny..Noah and his mullet!!! Between that and the story of you acting out the "we are the champions" theme, I was actually laughing out loud!! And don't worry..if the sistas find out our buddy Noah has a mullet, we will send all necessary aid..... stat!

Angie~ Sounds like your hangin in there. I keep thinking I am going to get in here any day and hear of wombats arrival. Will you have a talk with the little one? Tell him/her (although I still say her) there's lots of sistas anticipating the arrival!

Sassy~ So good to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your contractions and the other stuff. Are you on Procardia? I hope things calm down for a little while, I can't imagine how anxious that must make you. But like you said, viability is coming right up so that's a huge relief. Glad to hear you got to make it to your brother's wedding. I know you were really looking forward to that. Well keep us posted and take it easy. It sounds like you've come up with a few things to keep you occupied during your bedrest.

Jenn~ How's Anna?
Meg~ Hope you and Lucy are having a great vacation!
Vicky~ How's Benjamin?

Well my hives are still around. Yesterday I took my last dose of Prednisone (it was one of those dose packs) and the less Prednisone I took the more the hives were there. I don't know what the heck this is, but it's driving me nuts! I went to my primary doc yesterday to get another round of steroids. Of course he doesn't know what it is either, he just said your immune system is over-reacting to something. He drew blood because he said sometimes problems with thyroid, liver, etc. can be to blame but usually they don't find any cause. He put me on a cocktail of meds so I guess we'll see.
DH & I are going to the Cardinal baseball game tonight. Hopefully it won't rain.
Talk to everyone later. Have a good Fourth of July!

Hello ladies!

Angie - just checking on ya, gilfriend. What's the story? Are you delivering today in honor of the 4th of July over here??? Huh?? Huh??? Inquiring minds want to know!!! :D

Nickster - Glad I could make you laugh! I have something even scarier to report. My husband wanted to go hit golf balls at the driving range and so I went with him after lunch at my mom's today. Well, typical me...I can't stand to just sit there! So, up I go and start swinging!!! Oh MY!!! My husband bursts out laughing at me and how funny I look trying to swing around my belly. I was actually thinking I looked pretty good (appears to be a problem I have lately). When I saw people staring and muttering the wrod, "idiot" underr their breath  , I quickly sat down and swigged on my water for the remainder of it. Woe is me!

Did I mention the a-hole the other day who asked me how many I was carrying in there??? And when I gave him a dirtly look and said "ONE!!!", he said, "Are you sure they got the due date right"?????
A-HOLE!!!!

Hey Girls

Yet another long absence from me. I may need to be evicted from the sistahood if I keep up this behaviour.

And look what happens when I turn my back for a minute!

Congratulations Vicky and DH, your little Benjamin is beautiful. I'm so pleased for you that you have such a gorgeous little creature after all the trials and tribulations of IVF. How is he today?? You sound like you had a fabbo labour (well as fabbo as labour can be) you should be very proud of yourself...

Angie, good luck good luck good luck. I'm guesing you have been induced? I can't wait to hear your news, doubly exciting since we don't know whether wombat is a girl or a boy....hope you post VERY soon!

Robbo, I am so freaking sorry about your BFN. I hope you are bearing up OK, it is just not fair. I really can't think of appropriate words to say without swearing up a storm on your behalf...

Sassy, your babies must be viable now, congrats! I know that I was counting down the days to each milestone during my pregnancy and 24 weeks was a biggie. I'm sure that you are going to go a lot further than 24 weeks and that your BP will only play up for the express purpose of exciting your doctors and not because of pre-eclampsia...

Tina, geez look at how fast the big day has come for Vicky and Angie, you will be next before you know it! I'm thinkin that golf may have been a tad optimistic for ya also...Impressive that you are still trying to exercise though...I was much more lazy than that.

Jenn sorry to hear about the carpet, that's all I'll say I don't want to jinx you...except to add that I have a few diahorrea horror stories myself....my lovely doggie managed to poo in my laundry basket and then shred the carpet near the door trying to get out before more diahorrea....that's all I'll say on the subject...

Nickster, I think our DH's may be related. There's a whole lot of cooking going on for the dog in this house. He's only eating steak these days....DH cooks for him morning and night. He is talking about trying to re-introduce steamed rice into the dogs diet and maybe making doggie pizzas (what the hell that will be I have no idea..) sorry about the hives they sound incredibly annoying....PS the dog eats better than us, we haven't cooked for ourselves in at least a week...

Mego, how is our Lucy? Hearing you on the eating dirt thing...I have been so scared of the baby being exposed to germs but I'm slowly relaxing. TUrns out the baby can even lick the floor and not get sick, amazing...babies really are little grots...

Well I'd better go, I have a lot of prep to do if I'm going to get to work on time....I have to say that working and mothering is not an easy gig.
