We just went through our 3rd failed ivf, and our doc is recommending that we try extracting the sperm this next go around. My husband does ejaculate sperm but the doc thinks that we may be able to get some better quality sperm this way. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through a similar situation? He will still produce sperm the normal way but the doc will have both samples to choose from. I am happy that we are adding something that could help, but I know that there is no way to know if the sperm will be any different. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for all the kind words on the June / July board.

I am starting stims on Friday for our 2nd cycle. DH will have TESE done at our RE's recommendation this time, due to a low fertilization rate with the 1st cycle. We're hoping for better quality sperm through TESE as well.
Thanks for the replies. I know that there are a few different proceedures and I am not sure which one he is doing.
Congrats tennisgirl.
Kim- did you get pregnant?
Good luck RBjean.
