Hi ladies,

Checking in with you all...

Jayne, I'm with you - desperate to get things moving :? I can barely walk and sleeping in 20 minute increments for the past 2 months, so I'm starting to go a bit loopy  The pressure in my pelvis is disabling and it really is a struggle to put one foot in front of the other!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. Would have liked to have my C section next week but as my OB is away have to wait it out til 38 weeks. My bubs were already 6 pounds each 3 weeks ago so looks like we'll be having big babies. My DH and I are both tall so that could explain it!

Don't know about any of you ladies, but I currently have 2 heads sticking out of my tummy like something out of the Loch Ness Monster. It's freaking me out and when I TRY to lay on one side, everything goes cone shaped and I end up with 2 volcanoes on my stomach. Never seen anything like it. Little Kiana is pushed right up against my ribs to the point where they actually feel like they're bruised. Haven't had another scan since the 33 week mark when her cyst had grown. My OB doesn't deem it neccessary. She will be monitored and assessed once she's born. We're still concerned but trust we have the best medical facilities available to us to deal with whatever the outcome is. They're saying the worse scenario is she could lose an ovary due to torsion because of the cyst. I'd rather that than be told it's some other disease but I refuse to put myself in that headspace at the moment. We'll find out soon enough.

Well that's about all from me. I'll let you know if there's any movement at the station hee hee. Counting down the days, minutes, seconds...Can't wait.

No developments for me either - cramps have pretty much stopped and not much mucus now - I am almost relieved that I have an end in sight with Sunday's induction - but still a few more days to hope that something will happen. SOrry to hear you are uncomfortable Dexter - I am not too bad during the day but I am so sick of my sofa - it is too low - I prefer to lie on my bed but then nod off and can't sleep at night!

Today is my official due date and to celebrate I went for a swim which was nice - it is terrible weather here - cold and raining so this arvo I will be hibernating with DVD, book and chocolate and there's also Oprah to watch.

Jayne - hope the acu works some magic - I 've got another session tomorrow - let's hope it does the trick.

Kimberli - how are those little twins?

Good luck everyone. :D

Good luck Angie. Does that mean you are 40 weeks today? Wowsa! I'm rootin for ya (not literally)

Hope you get some movement soon! Exciting stuff. Enjoy your day on the couch. Mmmm...chocolate... can't get enough of the stuff.

Off to my OB today for more weighing in and b/p monitoring. It's been very low up until now but they want to keep monitoring me anyway.

Lots a love,

Dex

Update from me - had 2 hours of cramps and lower back pain yesterday - really thought things were starting to happen but then it all stopped ! Also had very strong pressure down like the baby had finally started to descend but that's relieved as well today.

It's like my mind is playing tricks on me - I am beginning to feel glad that the end is in sight on Sunday - have something to aim towards ! Don't think I can go another week - I am so bored and nervous!

Must go and have a shower - it's 1pm and I'm not even out of my PJ's.

How is everyone else?

AGH Angie! I feel for ya :-)

Thought I was having cramps last night but just the bubs getting annoyed with me lying on my side. Everytime I go houch DH says "What, is this it, how do you know it's not labour?" (We had a friend who thought she was just having wind and was infact 6cms dilated so now he thinks it's possible to not recognize the signs of labour). I said believe me we'll know when it's time. He asked me what it feels like and I said how should I bloody know, never been thru it. Very funny!

Yes it's nice to have an end date in sight and something to aim towards. I feel for those poor women who go to 42 weeks with one, but I guess that's where us twin Mums are at about 36 weeks. My OB says being tall and 5'10" has helped keep em in. Funny isn't it. My latest saying is ladies...

"Couldn't get pregnant for the life of me but sure can cook em". hee hee

Yesterday I took my 36 weeks pic and DH wrote on my tummy with lipstick "LET US OUT". Got a good laugh out of that.

Anyway, good luck again Angie. With any luck we'll get there together.

Hi Ladies,
I'm wishing everyone good luck with their births. I can't wait to hear all the good news!
Things here are going well. We had our 2 wk check up last week and they had surpassed their birth weights! Taylor was 8.4 lbs and Jaqulynne was 7.3 lbs. I can't believe this Friday they will be a month old! Time is going fast. I'm on my own this week and doing ok. DH is home today so that's been helpful. We still have no real set schedule except the fact that they eat about every 3 hours. I can't wait till that time gets longer. Also they are starting to stay awake some after a few feedings. I'd love to send you all pics. If you email me at my personal email...babydollstewart@yahoo.com I can send you pics via shutterfly. I feel like we all have been through so much together that you are my friends even though we've never met!
Keep in touch and hang in there I'm sure all will be ok!

Hi girls! Amelie Ellen is here and she is absoutely beautiful and we love her so much already - it is amazing. 8 pounds 2 or 3.69 kg. She was born on Saturday 5th July and I didn't even have to be induced!

Here's my labour experience....

Waters broke at 4 am, contractions came on fast and furious - hospital didn't believe me at first and told me to take a hot shower and some panadol......! Eventually rushed there, running a few red lights in the process and arrived at 8.30am and Amelie was born 1 hour later. No time for any drugs - it was too late as I was fully dilated!!

Hospital loved me as I only took up the delivery suite for an hour! So although scarey, it was a natural labour and I recovered quite well (just a few stitches down below - lovely!) Currently having fun with the trials and tribulations of feeding but I don't think I have starved her yet.

Good luck Melinda, Jayne and Dexter - can't wait to hear from you.

Oh congratulations Angie - what a great birth story! One hour woo hoo. Where abouts in Oz are you?

Still nothing happening here and starting to worry myself reading horror stories about multipes being left in the womb beyond 37 weeks being dangerous :-/ By the time I have my C next Fri, it would have been a week and a half between OB visits! Seriously, god forbid my blood pressure rises in the interim or anything else unforesaken happens. I think they've been too blase with me. Maybe I'm just a little anxious :-/

My folks arrive tomorrow night. Will be great to have them around.

7 days to go!

Hi Everyone!
Congratulations Angie! What a beautiful name and great size. I can't believe your labour was an hour that's so great! Glad to hear everything went well. Good luck with the feedings I'm sure it will go well just be patient and remember all your options.
Dex- Don't worry about your c section date. It's a fine date Your twins will be great and nothing will be wrong. After all if they want out they will put you into labor so no worries. AND if you do go into labor you will just have your c section then.
Keep in touch everyone. I know its hard especially after the babies arrive.

Hi Ladies,

Angie, congratulations on the birth of Amelie.

Well my two did not want to come out so we ended up with a c-section.

Zachary Andrew 6lb4oz, oliver George 7lb1oz on the 9th July absolutly perfect.

Then it all went wrong, and i ended up in ITU for 4 days, i am home now and getting stronger by the day, seeing my boys including my DH makes it all worthwile, i posted my story on the general forum.

will be in touch more later.
take care
