In my clinic they wanted me to lie down for 35 minutes after the transfer. I had to pee so badly afeter the procedure (because of the water they made me drink before the transfer)...I just couldn't make it. I was trying so hard...but, I think I was so anxious from the day and it was cold...so,it was either wet the bed or get up and go. I waited for about 25 minutes and the doc said it was fine. Do you think I ruined everything by getting up too soon???[/b]
Hey Snapper,
Like Dakota says, I think it just depends on each clinic. Mine had me lay down for 20mins the first cycle (BFN), and this time only for 10 mins - I don't know why, but this time so far so good. I did a lot of looking stuff up about this, and they did one study where they ultrasounded an air bubble that was injected with the embryos, and had the lady stand up right away - the bubble didn't move and therefore they figure the embryos don't either...
So I really would try not to worry about it, and enjoy being PUPO!!

at my first re i went to i laid a hour each time bfn and my new re we lay down for twenty minutes and i got bfp. and i had to pee really bad and i only did five extra minutes so i did the same time as you.
When I got home that day I lounged on the couch until bed time...getting up every once in a while...stayed home from work the two days following an took it easy...but wasn't laying down the whole time...I hope this is ok.
Hey there,
First cycle, I did really nothing at all except lay or sit for about 4 days, and then took it super easy for another 2 days - BFN.
This time, the day of transfer I just sat on the couch and slept when I wanted to, and did pretty much nothing, then 2 days of just light stuff at home, and then back to work. BFP!!

my clinic say you don't need to lie down immeadiately after transfer as they will not 'drop out' - I did rest for 3/4 days though and read and watch TV and very light little jobs.. don't think there is a difinitive answer if its going to work it will .. and if not it won't !!!
I do not think it does really matter, I was asked to lie down for 2 hours, but guess what it did not work in my case, so don't let this bother you, just stay positive.
I stayed put for ten minutes immediately afterwards, then I peed, then they had me lay at the office for two additional hours. DH and I played cards to pass the time. I was on bedrest the rest of that day plus three additional days afterwards. This does vary significantly by clinic...but that's what I did.

I wasn't able to get up for 10 minutes. After that they said I could go. When I got home I was on COMPLETE bedrest....only to get up to use the bathroom for 48 hours. I even ate while laying on my side! It was a rough 2 days but very worth it in the end!

I had to lay there for five minutes for both first and second cycles, and let me tell you, it was hard. I had to pee so bad, I was in pain. My DH sat there staring at the clock timing, so I knew when I could go. When I went, it was the best pee ever. LOL.
I was on couch potato time for 48 hours. I didn't have to be in bed, but they did want my feet up, if possible.
All clinics vary in their times. I have seen others who had no bed rest or couch potato time after transfer and they got BFP's.
I wish you all the baby dust in the world. Don't worry, you did nothing to harm your changes by going before the time was up.

AFter my transfer they used a catheter to drain the urine so I could rest for an hour. They had given me valium to take, so I was very loopy when I got home. I slept (or passed out) for about 3 hours after then lounged around the house for the rest of the weekend. THe following weekend I had implantation bleeding, but now I am 13wk6d pregnant!
Good Luck!
