Angie~ I hope the induction went/is going well. Can't wait to hear if wombat is a girl or a boy! We're thinking about ya.

Fee~ Good to hear from you. Wow..sounds like your dog eats gourmet! Yeah when I say we (he!) cooks...it's really nothing like that. All we do is hamburger and rice. Your hubby must be one heck of a dedicated pet owner! Your dog definitely eats better than we do!
How's Rio?

Tina~ Any golfing lately? You are quite the adventurous one, aren't you? Again you had me cracking up!

How is everyone else?

Wombat is HERE! She has a name - it is Amelie Ellen and she is absoutely beautiful and we love her so much already - it is amazing. 8 pounds 2 or 3.69 kg. She was born on Saturday 5th July and I didn't even have to be induced!

Waters broke at 4 am, contractions came on fast and furious - hospital didn't believe me at first and told me to take a hot shower and some panadol......! Eventually rushed there, running a few red lights in the process and arrived at 8.30am and Amelie was born 1 hour later. No time for any drugs - it was too late as I was fully dilated!!

Hospital loved me as I only took up the delivery suite for an hour! So although scarey, it was a natural labour and I recovered quite well (just a few stitches down below - lovely!) Currently having fun with the trials and tribulations of feeding but I don't think I have starved her yet. Will post a piccie of my little girl on photo bucket.

Hope everyone is well.

Congrats, Angie! Amelie is a beautiful name and good for you for having such a great delivery. I'm so happy for you! She was a good weight, too! Will go look on the bucket right away,

Sassy--bed rest must be hard. I've got to admit it sounds luxurious to my tired butt, but I suppose it gets old really fast. I'll keep praying for you that those three babies cooperate and stay put for as long as possible!

Fee--sorry work is such a pain. I hate work. I hate money. Well, I love money but I hate the fact that I don't have any! Oh well. Oops, gotta go Lucy is choking on something she ate off of the floor. Okay, she's fine. Geez.

Just got back from vacation yesterday. We had the best time. Gorgeous weather, spent pretty much everyday for two weeks on the beach. My tan is fabu, if I do say so myself! Lucy loved the beach. She made her mommy proud! She also cut her top two teeth while she was there--well one is through all the way and the other is working on it. Teething is such a pain in my ass! Poor baby. She really did pretty well, considering how much it must hurt!

She also is now recognizing words. She will wave if you ask her to as well as will whistle and growl. She can also show you her feet. She is toddling around everywhere, but still has to hold onto something she just won't quite do it herself. Any day now, I'm sure!

Anyway, will go post a beach pic or two so you can all see how cute my beach baby is! Hi to all..........I gotta tell you, vacation is great but I was starting to miss the sistas!

Thanks, Jenn--I loved the suits, too. I was a good girl, too and bought most of them on clearance. Baby Gap is evil!

Feeding is tough at first, isn't it? I really had some problems at first (can we say nipple pain on here, or is that too personal ) We're talking bad latching problems--my left side was literally hanging off because she just couldn't seem to latch right on that one. But we stuck with it and are still breastfeeding 10 months later! I love my time nursing with her--it seems to be the only time these days when she'll sit still long enough for me to cuddle her. Geez, I didn't mean to go on a "breastfeeding is the only way" tirade--I firmly believe that it's totally different for every mom and even for every baby. My sister-in-law just couldn't get her first one to nurse so he switched to bottle, but her 2nd child nursed until 12 months. It's whatever is right for the individuals involved. Don't you hate when people get all high and mighty about things like that? They have no idea what individual factors you are dealing with, yet feel perfectly right in telling you that you are doing it wrong.

That reminds me, I am really sick of my in-laws. They are driving me nuts all of the sudden. It's like suddenly I'm the worst mother ever. Everything I do is criticized. And to top it off, we recently had a family photo taken with them and the one they blew up and sent to everyone is great of everyone except me. My eyes are shut and I look horrible. But do they care? Oh no. Grrrrr.

My advise is to marry an orphan. Life would be so much easier! Wow, I feel better after that unexpected rant. Thanks. :o

Angie~ WOW...congrats!! I just knew wombat was a girl! I've been thinking about you and was so glad to hear things went so fast. Sucks there wasn't time for drugs but that was really fast for a first baby. Post us pics when you get a minute...I can't wait to see her!

Meg~ OMG..you have the cutest beach baby...EVER! She is so freakin adorable. She's like your little minni-me! It looks like you two had a great time. I have to say, lookin at the beach made me really jealous. I really, really want to be there!
Oh and ... don't you just love medling in-laws? Isn't it so funny how so many people can have so many opinions on how to raise YOUR kid? It just kills me how bold people can be!

Tina~ Your in the home stretch now too my friend! I can't believe your 34 weeks already. Won't be long and we'll be reading about Noah's arrival! How have you been feeling (other than busy at work!)?

Vicky~ How are you and Benjamin doing?

Robbo~ Good to hear from you. Have you been doing ok?

Sassy~ Anything new? How are the four of ya?

Meg- I hear you on the in-laws! Mine have something to say about everything we do. They are hung up on how we do things sooo differently from when my husband was a baby. Ahhh! When I was pregnant with her and at the Dr. 's office for a check, I was looking at a baby magazine that was selling onsies that said "Please don't give my parents unsolicited advice"! I wish I could put her in that and take her over to their house! But I am too chicken!

Oh! She will be 5 months tomorrow. I wish I could stop time.
Jenn
