Hi all,

Thanks for asking, I'm actually feeling really good. No more m/s for me, unless I get very hungry. I think I've crossed over to the being hungry all the time part. During the last couple of days, I can't seem to get enough. I'm hungry all the time - it's ridiculous.

Chelly180 - I'm a Texas gal as well. I currently live in Frisco, TX (a suburb of Dallas). Weather has been nice in the morning, but it can get hot in the afternoon. Dallas is a nice cosmopolitan city, but I love to visit San Antonio. The river walk is so nice.

Glad to hear that all of us Pregos are progressing nicely.

Hey guys. Tushie healing up very nicely, lol.

As far as the hair goes, wait til the postnatal fall out begins. Last time I seriously started to wonder if I was going to go bald. Actually slowed the leg hair growth though, thank goodness. I have Dutch ancestry, but am quite hairy all the same. So I feel everyone else's pain too. Worst pain in the world to have your upper lip waxed.

Dr. appt today went well, heart beat measured at about 160 BPM, so maybe another girl? U/s on Monday seemed to go well. Haven't heard anything bad anyways, so I guess that's good.

Bring on the second trimester, woo hoo!

Hi Everyone..

So I hope everyone is doing well. It sounds like you all had a nice 4th of July weekend. I unfortunately had my day off on Tuesday July 1st for Canada Day.

So again I was delayed this week on posting. Yesterday I had an excuse though. One of my really good friends that work with me was having her baby. She is now the proud mama of a 5lb10oz baby girl named Summer. I spent most of the day yesterday getting work done and running to the birthing suites to hang out with her. The birthing suites in the hospital I work in are fantastic. The nurses are all awesome there too.

So I live about 30 minutes from Toronto in Ontario. Used to live there but it is just like New York City. DH and I decided that we wanted to move out of town so that we could start a family. I wouldn't want to raise a child in Toronto! I moved to a little village called Brooklin. (Not in NY) I guess it isn't so little anymore. It is gradually getting bigger. It's nice to drive in your little town and see farm animals and fresh air and friendly people. So different from the big cities.

Sameera congradulations on the van! Definitely a good choice.

I have to say that I had a good chuckle after reading some of the posts I missed you girls are too funny.

Sorry to hear about everyone's hair. I haven't had that problem yet anyway! I am hoping it stays that way. So the M/S has almost subsided. Every couple of days i still have a tough day but for the most part it is gone. No Hemmorrhoids or any other issues so far.

So i still have just under 4 weeks to go before my next ultrasound. Such a long wait.

I guess I better sign off as this post is getting a little lengthy.

Jenn

Hi all- I had my 1st OB appt yesterday...she still did a vag u/s  but the baby is doing great, 77mm CRL, 155 BPM. And she thinks its a girl! She said its too early to be for certain, but she looked between the legs and didn't see a 'weewee'. She said for her 3 boys she could see theirs at 13 wks. My next appt & sono isnt until mid August.

Jenn- I would love to visit Canada! I heard its very beautiful there; almost like going to Europe but closer. Haha, that is funny you moved from Toronto to 'Brooklin' to raise your baby (I bet New Yorkers would do the opposite!) But that's good yall live in a suburb but close enough to get the big city fix whenever you need it. Glad to hear you are doing well and not getting ape-hairy like me!

Denise- good to hear your hemmhroid is getting better. Now I'm on the constant "lookout"! I love seeing the baby on the screen and watching 'her' swim about...I only wish I could feel it! I am hoping in another month or so...the sono tech said you can usually start to feel them move when they get to be about 1 pound or so.

4wd2bmom- Yeay, another TX girl! I have a classmate of mine that practices dentistry in Frisco. I used to live in Irving about 6 years ago; I worked at Southwestern Medical Center. I am from a small town, and I used to trip out when I saw the prostitutes walking Harry Hines! I think I would have enjoyed Dallas more if I had more money, but back then DH and I were broke. I could have gone to Baylor dental school, but we decided on SA to be closer to home. I go to Dallas usually once a year for a dental conference or to visit friends. I remember partying in Deep Ellum back in the days....

sameera- I am so into those baby delivery shows, but I particularly like that one I guess b/c its centered around women. Check this out...my OB gets up a 5am to go run for an hour, she has her own private practice, she has 3 kids one of whom is special needs, and she's married....I was like how do you juggle everything?!! She is super peppy, I bet she was a cheerleader in school. Turns out DH and her have been running next to eachother at the gym for the last 2 months....DH didn't know she was my OB! When we went to the appt yesterday he was surprised to see her. Just makes me feel all the more comfortable haveing her deliver my baby.

God Bless!!

Gosh - I missed one day and there are so many messages!

Chelly - Great that you had a good appt (shame about the vag u/s) - wow - a little girl! How exciting! I asked DH if he had a preference and he didn't mind but said probably a girl. Aaah! Shame you still have m/s. I'm pleased mine seems to be going, except for late evenings. I guess life's very different from mine if you stay within your city mostly. Nice that you have good rivers - I love being near water and watching it - very calming. Brown and crusty land can be attractive! I went to Africa and it was beautiful.

Denise - Glad your 'grape' is improving! I never heard of losing hair after birth - maybe it's the stress of all the sleepless nights! Glad your u/s went well.

Jenn - I've never been to Toronto, but I went to Montreal for a few days on business - I guess that's quite close to you. It was Fall and the colours were really nice. It did have a bit of a European feeling in the old parts.

I spoke to DH the other day about having another child if we could, after this one and I don't think he wants to. :( That's disappointing. I mean, it will be fantastic to just have one, but I'm an only child and really didn't want it for my kid. He didn't want to talk about it, but I was really hoping to try for a second if possible. Maybe it's because he's older. Don't know. I hope he changes his mind.

Anyway, I'm just so excited about my appt on Monday, which should be 13 weeks. I have an u/s - the first since 7 weeks - I meet my OB, who I think is a man, but not sure yet. It's all I can think of at the mo! Sameera - you have an appt on Mon too? Hope it goes well.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Michele - Congrat's on the OB. It is always good when you like your OB. I have to agree that little girls are fun to dress. There are so many cute clothes.

Sameera - Glad you enjoyed Toronto. I go into Toronto for work everyday. It's where the best jobs are.

Tin - Sorry to hear that DH doesn't want another child. He might change his mind once this one is here. I'm sure if you work on him a little there is a good possibility that he will change his mind. I hope everything goes well for your ultrasound on monday.

sameera- dont worry about your old maternity clothes fitting tight, this is your 2nd and you have 2 in there this time!! Its inevitable that you will get a bit bigger with this pregnancy. Do you think they will be able to tell you the sex of the babies? Are yall going to find out?

jenn- I love that my OB's philosophy is "care for women by women"...they even offer cosmetic treatments like botox and laser hair removal, which I will def look into after the baby!! When is your next appt? Isn't it crazy that we go from sono's every 2 weeks to once every 5-6 weeks?! Do you have your heart set on a boy or girl?

TinNotts- Yes, I was a little disappointed about the vag u/s but hey, I've been "violated" so many times, what's another?? Don't be down about the 2nd baby discussion...once he holds that baby in his arms, his heart may change his mind. Does he have any other kids? I bet, especially if yall have a girl 1st, he may not mind trying for a boy. Seems like most men want to have a boy at some point. Can't wait to hear how your appt goes Monday...looking forward to the update!!

Well, every since we find out the baby may be a girl, I've had pink and purple on my mind!! If we do indeed have a girl, this will be the only granddaughter for DH's side and the only for my mom so believe me she will be spoiled!! Now i'm thinking about the future...sweet 15...boyfriends...prom...college...wedding...ahhhh!!!!
I told DH we should start saving now 'cause this little girl is going to be expensive! Everyone had told me I was going to have a boy, and I kinda got my heart set on a boy, but either way I am happy. We haven't told our parents or anything b/c its not for sure.

God Bless!

Chelly - Oh yes you bet I'm going to find out sex of the babies - because I want to make sure I do good nursery for them and what not..

My DH said why do you want to paint and do all that for the other babies it's not like these are our first..

I said excuse me I put a lot of thoughts into my lil girl when I find out I was preggo with her... why is it any different for my other babies! I want them to know that we love them as much and we were thrilled to have them!!

Pink and Purple are perfect colors - that's what I did with my daughter's room and i have some butterflies and flowers and such in it!

so beautiful I still love that room :)

Sameera - pink and purple are really nice colours. my sister's room was those colours when she was little.

Michele - I know what you mean about the ultrasounds. I don't have any scheduled after aug 6th so unless i have one done in my OB's office I won't be seeing the baby anymore! I see my OB on July 24th. That will be my second appointment with her. I don't care one way or another if it is a boy or a girl as long as it comes out healthy.

sweet - that sucks you have to wait that long for an ultrasound but with the way our pregnancies are progressing - you know your OB appt and u/s will be here soon!

I agree with you about having babies healthy :) that's the most important thing for all of us.

sameera- oh, I hope we get to find out the sex today! I guess it all depends on if the babies cooperate!
We went to babies-r-us just to get ideas for the nursery, I think I found a furniture set I like but I can't believe how much stuff there is to buy!
I was wondering what you think I really need as far as furniture goes. Besides the crib, what else would I need? I don't have any furniture in the nursery as of now, so I will be starting from scratch. We plan on buying the big stuff ourselves, I certainly won't expect people to buy us those things for the shower.
There isn't much selection as far as organic cotton goes...I wonder if I need to look at specialtly stores for those? The set they did have a babies-r-us is really cute and unisex, so I supposed we could use it for baby #2. Its really soothing neutral colors, which I dig too. (I'll probably throw in some pink accents!)
Did you use a bassinet? I was thinking of getting one b/c the baby's room is on the other side of the house, and I think it might be easier to have her in the bassinet the 1st few months, then move her into the crib. What do you think?

Jenn- I guess it can be a little comforting that since the baby is devloping normally we don't need that many scans anymore. Haha, yeah right, easier to say right? well, I suppose you could go get one of those 3d u/s if you really wanted to see the baby later on!

As for me, I tried to go find some clothes this weekend, but I was really frustrated b/c I'm not big enough for maternity clothes yet when I try to buy regular clothes but a bigger size, they don't fit either! My tummy is fuller but my butt and legs aren't so when I try the bigger sizes they look too saggy! I was trying to find some elastic waisted skirts, but nothing I liked.
Dont laugh, but yesterday DH and I were gettin' it on, but afterwards I was soo tired! I felt like I ran a marathon!

God Bless!
