Soderbee - I'm so happy to hear you're almost there, just another day or so and then no more shots Get used to being nauseated and bloated, that doesn't go away when you get the BFP Wow, going through all of this, working and getting your masters...that's quite a bit going on. Your stock of supplies sound great to me, that's basically what I did when waiting around after ER/ET. Good luck and let me know when you trigger. Oh yeah, how many follies do you have now? It must be quite a few, with your E2 being so high
Hi there! Well I finally get to trigger tonight. Woo-hoo! The ER is for Sat am and then we'll do a 3-d ET. So glad to not be stimming anymore. I have a new respect for any of you who have suffered through many ivfs. My E2 level went up again, but the study coordinator said as long as it was under 5000 we were ok, I was 3828. Still nauseated, but know it'll be worth it. I have about 10-12 follicles ready to go that they saw on the u/s. Feels like that amt on each side. How many embryoos did everyone transfer? I think we are going to do 2. The RE is recommending 3, but I am scared to. I will keep everyone posted.
Soderbee - Excellent news on the trigger and good luck Saturday morning, it's great sleep I also had a 3dt and we transferred 2 perfect 8-cell embies, that's all my RE and DH would allow. I had 10 follies and 11 eggs, but I totally understand the feeling that maybe we had that many on each side It's all definitely worth it and I wish you the best this coming weekend and then on your ET on Tuesday!!
Just checking in... We have our 12-week U/S on Sunday, so hoping to see lots of movement, etc. We should get released to my regular OB following the appointment as well. I'm very excited about not having to drive 85 miles each way anymore for doctor visits.
We are making progress on the personal front as well, we got the house we bid on, so now we are just trying to get everything in place for closing. We have lots of projects to take care of this weekend so we can put our current home on the market.
Talk you to soon!

Woo-hoo on the 12-wk mark! You'll be smooth sailing now! Plus the house! Exciting but stressful I am sure.
I am getting anxious now...so I am trying to relax as best I can. My mom came over last night to give me the hcg shot. Not bad! I thought the stims were worse. It is so nice now to have a free day, poke free! Have a good wknd everyone!
Soderbee - Congrats on the trigger and enjoy the no shots day Good luck tomorrow morning and let us know how things go and how many eggs you get!!
baylorbear - Wow, lots going on with you these days. Great news on the new house, one step down. Good luck at your 12 week u/s and getting to move on to your OB, 85 miles is quite the hike.
I'm scheduled for my 1st u/s next Wednesday, so just counting down the days.
Hi all who are still here...so glad to hear all the progress.
Angram...so happy for you and can't wait for your U/S too
I have had 7 sonograms now...crazy but fun! The study did 3, my ob has done 2 (1 at first visit and 1"emergency" because of bleeding), 1 "emergency" from RE doctor because of bleeding but not for the study, and then one at the specialist for the nuchal translucency test! All the bleeding has stopped- nothing for 4 weeks now and the baby is great. I am 15 weeks along and we did some first trimester screening (sonogram and blood work) that shows chances of chromosonal disorders are extremely low so that is good. I find out the sex on July 23rd...we can't wait. I do have a fibroid in my uterine lining that is about the size of an apricot right now...I wonder if it's from the progesterone...maybe it will go away. They won't do anything about it right now, but just monitor it. I hope it doesn't grow and crowd the baby!!
Soderbee...good luck and will keep you in my prayers. Take it easy and don't get too stressed- some light activity and movement is ok day after transfer (I went to work). Just keep all positive thoughts on your tummy.
Baylor...it sounds like y'all are already on your way to being prepared for 2! How exciting and a little hectic I'm sure. Will you find out if they are g/g, b/b, or g/b? Do you have a preference?
Hi everybody! Thanks for all your thoughts! The ER went pretty well, retrieved 14 eggs, had lots of cramps and was nauseated. My poor DH, he has been such a trooper! He also had to deal with a loud hallway while he was doing his thing before the surgery. We went back today and only 5 fertilized with ICSI. Kinda bummed about the low number, but at least we are finding out some answers to why we haven't had a baby in all these years. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that those critters do well for Tuesday's transfer. I also got the ring! Didn't realize how big and ackward it is. Plus my finger nails are too long, so once again my DH was a trooper and I am putting him to work to help me! I need to do something for him for being such a good sport, any thoughts? Anyways, beccatx good to hear that things are going well. One of the reasons I was interested in the study was because of the extra sonograms. I hate surprises and need lots of reassurance, so I have no problems with lots of sonograms! Well, I need a nap. I will keep you all posted on the events from Tues. Take care!
Soderbee - It only takes one to get ya pregnant, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all 5 are super healthy and you get to transfer 2-3 on Tuesday! Is this your first IVF and had they tested DH's sperm and everything looked good before? I ended up with the gel and was sort of nervous about using the ring, but everyone using it says it gets easier and is no problem. That's great your DH is helping you out, what a trooper. Only thing my DH has wanted in return for any help these days is sex, so not sure if it's the same in your household I'm sending lots of good vibes to your little embies and let us know how ET goes on Tuesday!
Well, our 12-week u/s went good yesterday. The babies measured appropriately for their age and both heart rates are still over 160, so the RE said everything looked great. We got to see lots of arms, legs, hands, & even the spines yesterday. Quite remarkable...
I pulled out my last progesterone ring yesterday prior to my u/s. The ring was really no problem at all for me. It was actually not even noticeable. I did however have some light cramping and spotting this morning, so it made me nervous since I just came off the progesterone supplement. I talked to the nurse at the RE's office, and she said that many of their patients have complained of spotting following their last progesterone treatment. I think she called it "progesterone withdrawal". Hopefully it is nothing to worry about, I just hate seeing that blood when I go to the bathroom.
Beccatx - Wow, I can't believe you are already 15 weeks... We will definitely find out the sex of our twins. The RE told us they were 99% sure they were identical, so we will be expecting either b/b or g/g. My DH and I will be truly excited either way. We have been through so much to get to this point, that we just want healthy babies.
Soderbee - I am living proof that it only takes one to get ya preggers. Only one of our blasts stuck with us, but then split, so we are expecting double the fun.
Angram - Good luck with your u/s this week. It will be very exciting!

Hi everybody! Was trying to take it easy after the ET on Tues. Went pretty well. We were set on putting back just 2, but we had one 8, two 5, and the other 2 were only 2-3, so we decided to put back 3 for better odds. So now we wait. Feeling bloated and nauseated, the progesterone I am sure. Otherwise, nothing else. Just trying to relax as best I can. I am to go back next Fri for my pregnancy test...totally shocked that it'll be under 2 wks. Woo-hoo I hope, cause this waiting is difficult. Next week should be better because I work Tues-Thurs and will be busy. I am just sitting at home watching dumb shows on tv this week. I am suppose to be studying, but watching guiding light is more stimulating. Hah! So, hope all is well with everyone...keep with the updates!
Soderbee - Congratulations on transferring 3 embies, that's wonderful news. I'm keeping everything crossed for you and sending sticky baby dust your way! Definitely take it easy, give those little ones time to settle in All is well with me, just keeping it low these days. We had our first u/s yesterday and heard the heartbeat, it was wonderful. It looks as though we had twins, but one is no longer growing. We are on cloud 9 and cannot wait for the next ultrasound in a little over a week.
Angram, Congrats about the 1 bean growing well! Sorry to hear about the other twin not making it. Just keep thinking happy thoughts! Did they check your progesterone level again? Is it ok? How are you liking the gel? The ring is ok so far...just kinda gross that it stays up there for a week at a time. Yucko.
Soderbee - Oh yes, we are ecstatic that we have one healthy bean, it is truly a blessing. My RE doesn't do any more blood work from here on out, so hope my progesterone is still good. They tested 3x and each time was between 141-159, so everything was great. I don't think I get it tested again until the 12 week mark, which is my last study visit with them. I actually don't have any issues with the gel at all, so I feel pretty fortunate. Well I take that back, it does feel a bit irritated during IC with DH, but not too terribly bad. Yeah it kind of grosses me out about the ring too, but must not bee bad since several women are doing it. Guess you just can't think about it How are you feeling otherwise, everything going ok? You go in for beta next Friday, right?
