Hello sistas!

Meg - Lucy is so beautiful!!! I love the pics!!! And GIRL!!! Look who else is looking like a hottie in her swimsuit - you look GREAT!!! Seriously - you look awesome!!! I am so jealous of the beach pics!! I want to go on a vacation right now - my fat ass and all!! And the in-law story has me laughing! I have a pretty good gig. My husband's family lives in Tucson, AZ and don't really have money to visit (damn my luck - ), so our visits with them are rare. My mother-in-law was here for a week over Christmas and she is really very sweet and doesn't try to bud in, but a week was enough! I hate to be mean, but my husband and I had once talked about having her come out here for a month after Noah is born to help out, but I just cannot bear it. I just can't! I don't like someone "all up in my grill", you know??? If Noah cries too much and drives me crazy, can't you just put them in a closet for a while anyway??? Hee hee -not my little guy though - I bet he is an angel! Yeah, right....and no, I would not put my flippin kid in a closet, for Gods sakes!!! I was only kiddng.

Well CRAP - like usual - flippin work is getting in my way and I have to run before I fifnish my posts to everyone else. God, I hate work....

Ok, more later when this damn work day comes to a close!

Tina--Thanks for saying that I looked okay in my swimming suit, but I'm still not loving myself . I don't know that I'll ever feel great about my body again, but Lucy is well worth it. Sorry that work is so crazy. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't remember what you do  Could you remind me? And I loved the "up in my grill" line....classic!

Vicky--I agree that Lucy is getting more and more adorable, but then again I'm a little biased! Benjamin is so cute as well.

Shantala--Elliana is precious. What good pictures of her. That smile is great. Seeing pics of her and Benjamin make me miss the "baby" Lucy. Hold them close, they change so fast. Seriously, I know you hear it alot but damn it goes so friggin' fast. And when they're so little you're so tired that you don't really get to appreciate them, you know!?

Oh well, off to work out. I'm two days behind So you think you can dance...love that show. Am also very excited that Big Brother starts tomorrow! I know I"m a big tv loser. At least I admit it! And what an exciting Saturday night I have going, huh??? Hope all of yours' is much more exciting!

Congratulations Angie and DH, you sound like you did fabulously well! What's with these quick labours??? Not loving the too late for pain killers though...Love Amelie's name, so cute, when are we getting piccy's? Are you getting any sleep, the first few months are crazy! Hope you are bearing up well...

Mego, have to agree with the other sistas, you are looking hot! Seriously I am inspired to do something to get rid of my fat gut, it is ridiculous!
Lucy is also tremendously cute, love the bathers. Thanks for the rant by the way, loved it, I've gotta say I'm pretty sick of random opinions being offered on my child rearing efforts, I'm doing my damned best that that is OK!

Oops have to run, will come back and finish my diatribe soon

hi ladies and great to hear from you too Shantala - well I tried to post a photo a few days back but photobucket was down. Finally I get chance to come back to the board - where is the time going - we are doing OK but Amelie takes FOREVER to feed - sometimes an hour and half from start to finish - she is really hard to wake up and then stops and starts - I am going to get some help from a lactation consultation consultant - she is doing the relevant amount of poos and wees though so I am not too concerned at the moment - I Just need some more free and time and shut eye!

Anyway - must go and have a sleep - will post photo right away and I'll be back soon once I have this feeding thing sorted .

angie - she's absolutely gorgeous!! bless her. and all that hair! lol...elliana had (and still has) lots of hair too! dont worry about the feeding too much. elliana was very difficult to wake up for feeds and would take forever at first. the midwives kept telling me to wake her up by gently poking her cheeks or winding her or taking her legs out of the babygrow to make her cold so she would feed. i thought the taking out of the legs thing was rather cruel so didnt do that. i ended up just feeding her more often or whenever she wanted. it gets better, just perservere!

meg - definitely know what you mean. although she's only 12 weeks, those 12 weeks have flown like mad! i do appreciate her and take lots of pics. but at the same time its also sometimes hard not to wish her older when i look at pictures like those of you and lucy by the beach. do you know what i mean?

vicky - just realised benjamin is yours...he is very cute. sorry i didnt cotton on earlier!

sassy - hows the bed rest?

hi to everyone else.

Hi girls,

I just wanted to surf the forum and see if any familiar nicks had posted! Geez, it's been a while, hasn't it?

Sassy just realized from Shantala's post that you're on bed rest. I hope you're doing okay, and the babies too. I felt such joy when you became pregnant that I've kept having a little thought for you here and there, wondering how you're doing. Hope that, at the very least, some positive is coming out from your situation and that the bed rest pushed your princess status to a whole new level! *hugs*

Shantala Long time no see as well! I was about to check your MySpace page to have new, but came here first. Elliana!!! What a gorgeous name!!! I really love it! I love names that end with that vowel! Unfortunately, with the accents here in Quebec, those times of names don't sound well unless you really pronounce them "a la francaise!"... How are you doing my friend? Is motherhood treating you well? How is DH's health? He must be completely gaga of your little cutie! Can't wait to see pics!

Meg, Fiona, hrobinson, it's nice to have news from you too!!! Don't worry, Meg, I'm a big "tv loser" as well! I love So you think you can dance, but my DH doesn't so I don't really follow it that much (however you can see all the dances on you tube, so...). LOVE Nigel! We're big fans of Bones and especially House. Started watching Rome on DVD, too... not bad at all! Love Pullo! :D

Jenn, I hear you on the in-laws!! Poor thing!!! ;) My best friend Anne has the nosiest, most anxious and verbal diarrhea-like mother-in-law! It's going to be hell when she has her first baby! ;) LOL the onsies idea is very funny! Maybe I'll buy one for her one day... ;) Still, I'm glad to hear from you and I hope you're well my dear friend!

Anyhoo, I just thought I'd say hi! :D

Take care ladies! :D

Well, please forgive the preggo sista down in Texas for not stepping up sooner and posting. Life is nuts these days! I am starting to really feel the "weight" of this pregnancy and the heat is HORRIBLE down here right now. One of our air conditioning units is out and they can't come until Monday to look at it - uggghhh!! Some days I feel like Noah is coming any day now and others I think the kid is is going to hang out in there forever! I am as big as a MOOSE and let's see...what else can I complain about??? :D  Ah - the cramps!! I started getting them last weekend and they really freaked me out. I went to my doc the next day and he basically states they are normal and I will probably continue to have them until the end of my pregnancy. Oh - what fun! Anyway, the nurse said the doc was not planning on "checking" me that day (this was just a regularly scheduled appt) and well, as soon as that chick left the room, I promptly undressed and hopped up on the table. Try ignoring me now, I thought!!! So, my doc walks in and I proceed to tell him he needs to check things out down there and make sure Noah's head ain't hanging out already because I am hurting like a "mo-fo" right now!!! Besides - I can't seem to see down there lately anyway and Lord knows shaving has become a whole new adventure, so for all I know, the kid could be starting to hang out!!! He starts laughing, does a quick check, and says, "Tina, your cervix is still completely closed". Huh?!? Well, then why the cramps, I ask? He says, "Because". WHAT??? That is your medical answer??? :x  :? He says that some women start cramping and it is hard to really know why other than there is an obvious irritation causing it and it is similar to menstrual cramps. He thinks Noah is starting to get into position as he is completely head down and maybe that is what is causing it. Oh great, that makes me feel much better - NOT! Anyway, enough of my rant - the cramps have actually gotten better and I am still chugging along. But did I mention again HOW FLIPPIN' HOT IT IS HERE???? Ok, enough. I did get my hair cut and highlighted this week, toe nails done, eyebrows waxed...if Noah comes soon, I will surely make the sistas proud!! Well, except for possibly the shaving thing....hmmmmm....may have to get that waxed ASAP or enlist some help....can't tell for sure what I got going on down there right now. I am doing the best I can!!!

Sassy - where are you??? I watched a show on a lady delivering sextuplets and I was shocked. She gained over 100 pounds and it was just amazing - 3 boys and 3 girls!!! How are you??? I really hope you post soon so that we know you are ok!!

Angie - how is your beautiful little girl??? How is the feeding going? I have been to a class on breastfeeding, watched a DVD, read all I can - I am so worried about it not going well!! Give up some helpful hints when you get the skill mastered!! She is GORGEOUS, by the way!! So happy for you!!! :)

Fee - Need some updated pics of Rio! No sense holding out now since you already published the one and well, he is just so damn cute - I need some inspiration. I am still concerned about Noah's mullet and more concerned about this so-called hair all over their bodies that I have read some babies can have...what if mine does??? These are the things that keep me awake at night. :?

Meg - How is Ms. Lucy? I am glad you guys are enjoying your summer. Work is still kicking my tail....as far as what I do, I am a VP of Sales for a health insurance company. What that means to me right now is that most companies renew their medical benefits on January 1st (about 75%), so most clients make their decisions between mid July- late October. Most of the commission I get comes 60 days after the effective date, so March for January 1st sales. I have some nice size cases that I have been working on that if they will make decisions before I go on maternity leave, I will get full commission for them come March (and in this position, you pretty much live off of the money you make in March for a good portion of the year, so bad new business sales in January = bad year). If Noah will hang in there for his full-time, I can probably get some of these wrapped up and go safely into maternity leave. If Noah comes now, well, it is just a different story. My husband finishes school in about 4 weeks - yep, right when Noah is due. Hopefully he will get a job quickly because living off of one salary can get pretty darn tough these days....esp when you are 9 months preggo and have enough worries on your mind! Not to mention, my mat leave sucks - I only get 2 weeks at 100% and then it drops to 60% of my base...which ain't good. So, that is why work stresses me out so much lately. However, I am sure it will all work itself out. I just like to sit and worry about things beyond my control!

Vicky - How is little Benjamin???

Jenn - How are you? Is the TX heat killing you, too?

Shantala - We have not met yet via the sisterhood thread, but I must say that your daughter is a cutie! Love the pics!

Well, Big Brother is on tonight - can't wait. I first thought it looked like it was going to suck, but that nut case from New Orleans is spicing things up a bit. Might be an interesting season after all...gotta love reality tv!

I posted a pic on the site - 35 week belly shot.

Oh - one more rant!! My cat crapped in my closet last night because the idiot got trapped in there when I shut the door, not knowing she was in there. I told my husband the bedroom stunk and he had me acting like a flippin bloodhound with my over-active sense of smell and off we went to track down the stench - yep, found it in my closet under some hanging clothes. That cat is lucky to be alive today. Ok, ok, enough...I am off to find a razor to see what I can do to not embarass the sistas if Noah comes early....

I like your style Tina ! Very persuasive techniques in getting the dr to examine you - I bet you are a brilliant sales person in your work!!!! Don't worry - if my experience is anything to go by you will need to push very hard to get Noah to budge!

Just a quick post to say me and Amelie are doing well - she is slowly gaining weight - 90 g since Thursday - luckily being a good weight to start with, it isn't too much of a concern yet. Breast feeding is challenging but I am persevering at the moment.

Don't know where the hours go everyday - I don't have time to scratch. We have had a few 4 to 5 hour night time screaming sessions (not fun) but last night she was really good - amazing what a good night sleep does.

Sitting here with her in baby bjorn while I type - what a great invention - she is fast asleep and I have my hands free.

HI to everyone else.
