Good morning ladies!

kim14: If you had 23 eggs last time, did none make it to freeze? Sounds like you are moving right along! I agree, this 2nd time around is a lot less stressful!

elisabeth: Wow!! Sounds like you have quite a few eggs coming!! Wouldn't worry too much about the dosage. I'm sure your RE would have increased if he thought it was needed. I'm not getting AP, so I can't answer that one. But the 2nd question, ours has gone down a little, but not too bad. I just stay so tired lately, I''m not in the mood as often as before. I'm sure it will come back!

venus: Yeah on more follies now!! Sounds like they are all a good size! That is awesome that ER may be Saturday!! And you aren't silly. I think we all like to know that we created little embies with our DH's!!

I went in for BW & US this morning. I won't get the BW results until this afternoon, but they counted about 15 follies total today! And measured a few of them around 11 or 12. I'm dong much better than my first cycle already! That was after only 5 days of stims this time! So it looks like I'm moving right along. :D Anyway, hope you all have a great day!

Hi guys,
I was going to wait to post after the embryologist (EM - i'm gonna to create an abbreviation since this word is so long :) unless there's already one for this. Anyway, they're supposed to call very soon, and i'm sooo anxious. I had 8 embies at ER, i think anything from 8-15 is good...i would've liked more (we all do, i guess)...but i'm happy and hoping for the best. I think i agree that this time is the most stressful (ER to ET). I just had soreness yesterday, and slept for about 4 hours after the procedure...after that i eat the pringles DH bought me from the pharmacy, they tasted so good. i took my PIO for the 1st time...it stings a little even with using ice. Then, couldn't sleep until 2 am and finally took the vicodan to lull me to sleep which it did! Actually, checked up on you guys last night...sounds like you are doing well with stims and getting lots of follies...venus sounds like ur getting really close...good luck on Sat/Sun with ER - will you be in rockville, MD? I can't remember if you're at Shady Grove. I might have ET either friday or Sunday. ER is really pretty easy - you don't remember a thing after they bring you to the OR...10 min procedure...better than i expected.

Okay then, I'm praying for goodness in the lab... :D

JHarris - Congrats!!! 15 follies is awesome!!!! Keep growing follies - grow grow grow.

Babyloves - Thanks for the update. Eight eggs is a great #. Good job!!! Stay positive and keep PMA. I know it's tough during this time. I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed for your embies.

Yes, I'm excited to have my ER this weekend. It will be in CT (I'm actually not in MD). Someone else on this thread is from your area though (I just cannot remember who - ). Keep taking it easy if you can. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling good after the ER.

j harris - yes 23 eggs and only one frozen. We were so bummed and its a day 7 so it has a really low chance. There are others on here that had high numbers and had no frosties so i guess its normal but i would love ot get some this time! fet sound so much easier on the body. I have heard it has lower preg rates though??

venus - totally agree - er to et is so crazy. Thats too funny about your dh answerign the phone - if i let my dh do that id get like every other word of the message :-)

baby - im also at sg. sounds like u r doing great. 8 is awesome. my doc said 8 is a good number to shoot for. We are actually trying to get less eggs so i dont get so sick from hormones. My fsh was really high to make 23 eggs. Id rather have half, not have to take a week off work and get a nice bfp!!! Let us know if you do day 3 or 5 and all the updates :-)

elis - I do ap once a week - since may - its pricey and im not sure if ill cont the next cycle. $80 a pop. I will go 3 times next week.

Glad everyone is doing great!!! Relax - let the follies grow - its kind of out of our hands so no use stressing :-)

elisabeth I really like Dominion Fertility. My doctor was voted the best RE in the Washingtonion this year. The nursing staff is also great.

Babylove I bet the time between ER and ET is stressful! Will keep my fingers crossed for you. My doctor also told me that they hope to get 8-11 follies for any given patient. Be sure and keep us posted.

I went in today for more B/W and US. I saw on the lab slip that yesterday's E2 was 1029 for day 5. I still only have 7 follies and it doesn't look like I will get anymore. Apparently I have 4 follies on the right that will be ready for trigger tomorrow or Saturday. The 3 on the left are behind so if they don't catch up today then I will be left with 3-4 for ER. This seems really low to me considering I am 32 and supposedly have no issues. 3 is better than none so I will take what I can get![/b]

Hi ladies,
Just got the results from my sonogram....not sure what to make of it? I have been on 4 days of stims, my E2 was 326 and they measured 15 follies none larger than 7. Does anyone really know if this is good, bad, or indifferent? I know they are happy with the amount of follies they found, but think they are on the small side. No changes were made to my medication regimen and I go in on saturday for another sonogram. I am trying to be patient, but I am so not! LOL! Looks like you are all doing well and I love reading your updates! Went shopping today for a friend's baby shower that I am throwing for her...don't know about you ladies, but I am ready to have a baby shower for me instead of everyone else!!!! Have a great night!

I have been reading all the posts on E2 numbers, which I gathered was estrodial, and I assume that the higher the number the better right? I will go in for my BS and US soon! I can't wait till I know some of my numbers. I suppose they change substantially once I start stim meds. I am so excited for all of you.

Kim14- I didn't have any idea that we could have that many eggs in one cycle. Is that fairly common?

elis- My AP put me on a sliding scale because I wasn't submitting through insurance. She didn't offer this at first until I asked if there is a discount for numerous treatments, and then she gave me a better rate. She also hooks up some electrobes to the needles. I really do love it. I feel like I am reenergized after each session.

Babylove - Sending good energy your way :)

Venus - It looks like everything is going smoothly for you with plenty of follies!! Wishing you well this Saturday!

Talk with you all soon.

Diva, rn, em: i think you guys are doing great. We are early in our stims. I am goign today to see if my slow starter eggs are cooking :-)Mine were slow last time and then took off so brace yourself!!! My ap says that she sees bfps in the women with less eggs :-) Better quality. 23 was horrible - i was in so much pain so dont hope for that! i would love to have half that but well see doc told me if you are a big producer you tend to stay that way. We reduced my meds a bit this cycle. Gotta run to us!

have a great day

I agree with Kim ladies, your follies will continue to grow. I think your numbers look good so try not to stress too much (I know easier said than done). I know your frustration dcdiva - I'm 32 as well. Keep your head up though. Although we all like to see good numbers, it really is true that you only need one good one. After all, people get pregnant the natural way every day with just one egg:)

Good luck wih the baby shower rn2005. I completely agree with you - it is time to have baby showers for us. No worries - in due time it will happen. I just know it :D .

Update on me - I went in for another u/s and b/w this morning. There are now 17 follies!!! I am so excited. They all look great. My lining is now 9.8 so I'm really hoping it's ready for an embryo to get snug in it. I will definitely have the ER on Saturday which is great news. My trigger shot is tonight. Please keep those fingers and toes crossed. Last time, some of my follies were empty so I'm really hoping that most of them have an egg inside this time. I don't have my E2 yet for today but yesterday it came back at 2990. I'll keep you ladies update.

Hey guys,
so the fert report came in really late yesterday...in fact, i had to call at 3:30..anyway, not great, but good. Out of 8, unfortunately 2 were immature, and only 4 fertilized. I just hope those 4 keep on dividing...i was an emotional wreck yesterday...i had this pain on the R ovary that felt crampy that wasn't there the day after ER...i though i had torsion (twisting of the ovary) which is a bad thing...called the PM doc and he said that is usu 10/10 pain. I think i overdid it with the cooking yesterday...made a great shrimp/veg couscous and bean soup...
This am, my butt is sooo sore from that PIO...anyone have any suggestions.. DH does put ice before hand, and it didn't hurt much the day b4...

venus: that's a great #, i think the more you have for retrieval the better, cuz it seems that not all fertilize...good luck on sat!! Keeping all body parts crossed!
kim: yeah, 23 is too many and the more eggs, the higher the E2, the more chances of OHSS. I hope you get a good # this time...
RN: things can definitely change pretty fast, and i'm sure those 15 will grow! i know what you mean about the baby shower...i feel that way going into the baby section...i love little baby clothes...and for the first time during this IVF process, i didn't shun the section...i just passed by and touched all the clothes hoping for baby dust...
emfossum: good luck with stims!
dcdiva: i can sympathize with you as i only have 4 to go with after retrieving 8...and hopefully those keep growing...you and I both have to keep us heads up!!

Hi Everyone, sorry I didn't post yesterday, things were a little hectic. I had an U/S and BW yesterday and They're seeing 10-12 follies and my E2 was 517. I'm hoping for some good progress at my appointment tomorrow morning. I can definitely feel things happening in my ovaries now. Things are feeling a little cramped and full in there.

Babyloves: Chin up on the 4 embyos - that's not a bad number to end up with at all. (Our last cycle we had 1 good out of 13 mature eggs - and 2 that "sort of" divided late - but likely weren't viable). You still have a large enough number where you can choose the best ones! Do you know how many you will transfer?

Venus: Great numbers! Good luck with the trigger tonight. How great is it you are having ER over the weekend. It's like a free day and 1/2 off afterwards. I'm keeping all my fingers, toes and extremities crossed for lots of eggs and a great fert report!

Emfossum: You're right, E2 is estradiol and I think they want to confirm your number is low before starting stims, to confirm you are suppessed. Once you start stims E2 rises slowly and then seems to take off after 4-6 days for most people. On day 6, mine was 517. I'm guessing it may have doubled by the time I have my US tomorrow.

RN2005: I think your numbers at day 4 look just fine! If they were concerned about follie size, I'm sure they would have increased your meds. If they don't grow by your next US, I bet they up your dosage. FYI, my E2 on day 4 was only 142. By day 6 it was 517 and my follies were between 9 and 11.

DCDiva: Wow, almost ready for trigger already - that's great! 7 follies isn't a bad number at all - it's 7 chances for a BFP. Plus, you never know until they get in there how many they'll find for sure. Good luck!

JHarris: Sound like you're moving right along! I have another US/BW tomorrow too - and it still sounds like we're pretty close number wise. I'm hoping for some good progress tomorrow and over the weekend. I'm guessing I won't trigger until Mon or Tues at the latest.

Kim: I hope your levels stay under control so you don't get sick this time. I'm sure you'll get plenty of eggs again this time - so you're in good shape!

Elisabeth:
Sounds like you're moving along quickly too. Hopefully those 10s have popped at your next appoint. - do you go in tomorrow!

Hi everyone, I'm very new to this posting thing. Jharris told me about this forum. Thanks!!! I'm going to start by complaining: yesterday I went to have bw and us and asked for more ganirelix and they said they would call it in, ok fine. Went back for bw today as said no one had called from the pharmacy and they told me they forgot to call, really!!! FORGOT!!! I know there are a lot of patients at the clinic but do I need anything else to stress about!! OK well thanks for listening..

Wow, didn't realize there would be so many posts since my last to get caught up with! So......

babyloves: Glad you got your update. I like your new abbreviation! EM works for me! With my PIO, I iced the spot for about 10 to 15 minutes, and didn't have any problems. Just make sure DH does it quick, it's less painful that way. Massage afterwards helps with the soreness the next day. Don't worry about only 4 fertilizing, that is plenty!! Best wishes to you!

venus: Thank you! And I am so glad you have ER this weekend!! How did the trigger go? Can't wait to hear your fert report! Sounds like you will have plenty to work with! Good luck!

kim14: Hard to believe only one frostie with 23 eggs! But you are right, most people don't end up with frosties, so it must be normal. I haven't heard much about the rates of one vs the other. It just has to be easier on the body! Don't be thinking about "next cycle", this one's gonna work!

dcdiva: Very nice E2 for day 5!! Any news on trigger? I don't think age has much to do with the number of follies. I'm only 32 with no real issue and only produced 6 mature eggs. But this cycle I have more. I think it is different every cycle. Keep us posted!

rn2005: Sounds like a great report after 4 days of stims. My E2 was 316 after 4 days, and they say I'm on track! SO you must be, too! Your baby shower will be coming soon!!

emfossum: It's hard to say what a good E2 is. It all depends on how many follies you have, and on what days. You don't want it too high, or you could end up with OHSS, which I have heard is no fun! Congrats on getting an AP discount!

RBJean: Sounds like you are doing well! How did you appt go this morning? I'm thinking my trigger will be Monday or Tues as well. I guess we will see.

My E2 yesterday was 956, and I have about 15 to 20 follies. And they started my Ganirelix last night. So I am on my way! I won't get my E2 until this afternoon, and they didn't do an US today. So I am sure I will be back again tomorrow. Hope you ladies have a wonderful Friday!! Thinking of you all! We are getting close!
