results- BFN

Post by baobei77 »

So, I just finished my 2nd IVF and got a BFN.
What bothers me is that I started my period on the exact same day as my normal menstrual cycle.
When the nurse called me and told me about my beta dropped from 10 to 4, I told her I've already guess the result because my AF started. She pulsed for a moment and said "are you sure it's AF not just spotting?” Her reaction scared me!! I am now thinking why would my AF started normally and should there be a time frame where I will have a delay on AF :?: :?: :!: :!:

Also, should I be concerned for future IVF program?

Sorry about your BFN. I just finished my first IVF and got a BFP but when I went for my 2nd BETA the nurse said the levels dropped so most likely be a early loss.... :( . Good luck on your 3rd try!

Annie, I wish you luck on the 3rd test. I will have my 3rd blood test on the 21st. I am not giving any hope on this test becasue I have already started my menstrual cycle and my nurse already had me stop the progestrone.
what was your beta? are you still taking progestrone?

My first BETA was 80.3 and the second was 70.5. My 3rd test is tomorrow but I dont have any hope really....at least the nurse was pretty straight forward in telling me it's most likely an early loss. I'd rather her be straight forward then give me any false hope. I'm still on the progesterone till the results come in tomorrw. We have three frozen embies so hopefully that will work out. The thought of going through a fresh cycle with all those needles is so depressing!!! I am looking into acupunture now maybe that will help....

hang in there

Oh my gosh. My sadness over my first BFN was so great - I don't know if I want to go through that again! I know that it usually takes a few times - but how many? My doctor does not sound very hopeful... but I'm encouraged by the brave posts on these boards - and the many success stories.

hang in there sisters!
