Im sorry to hear your bad news. You are rite this IVF thing is very emotional. I still remembered when i was given hope then later disappointed. I was tested BFP but then 2 wks later on New Year's Eve, the doc told us that the sac is empty. Quite shaken us up. The hardest thing was that we had to remain strong and happy in front of our relatives. My husband and I could only cry our heart out in the bedroom.
I am not giving up though. Now I am trying for a new fresh cycle though I still have 3 frozen embryos of poor grades. I think since you haven't go for ET, you may be able to rest for at least 1- 2 mths before going for another cycle.

Blighted ovum is when the sac is empty, the embryo does not develop. Most likely due to chromosome abnormalities.

As far as I go I am going to do my trigger shot tonight. It took 11 days of stims to get my 7 follies ready! I am excited to be moving on to the next stage. My E2 was 4600 yesterday! WOW I thought that was pretty high and in danger or overstimulating but my doc does not seem concerned. I am scheduled for ER on Tuesday! YAY

Hey ladies - sounds like lots of good follie growth. Had monitoring today and yesterday at 7:30 am - so much for sleep!!! Im still on track for er on wed or thurs - god i hope its wed!

Baby - congrats!! Im so glad it worked out. Did you do a day 3 or 5 day transfer?

Hommy - I am sorry to hear that - it must have been very tough to get the bfp and then the bfn

DCDiva_ wow, 4600 sounds pretty high. I would be careful to get lots of fluids just in case. My E2 last cycle got up to 3500 and they had me take only 1/2 the trigger shot to lower the risk of OHSS. Good luck with the trigger tonight and ER on Tuesday!

Onesweetangel: Sorry to hear your setback. I know clinics really vary on whether they want you to wait in between cycles. I've heard of people starting BCPs right away after a cancelled or failed cycle to start again - so you'll have to see what they say. Try to do something fun for yourself to ease the stress!

RN: Sounds like you're close to trigger with the extra monitoring. You'll be close to some of the rest of us with ER early/mid this week.

I had US and BW this morning and have about 12 follies of measurable size, largest around 17. Really off-balance though - 10 big ones on 1 ovary and only 2 on the other! Sounds like they want 1 more day of stims today and back in tomorrow morning. Probably trigger tomorrow night with ER on Wednesday, but they are calling me to confirm this afternoon!

Onesweetangel - I am so sorry to hear about the fert results. Try to keep your head up. The docs really do learn a lot from failed cycles. I know that brings little comfort but hopefully in the long run, this will bring you to what you want. Definitely enjoy some downtime from all infertility madness. My clinic will do back to back cycles so just talk with your doc. Hugs to you.

Update on me - I had ER on Saturday. They retrieved 10 eggs!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! This morning we got the call and 5 of the 10 fertilized! Yippee!!! I am super super excited. There's a chance that more will fertilize over the next day (although the odds are against it) so it's possible we'll have more than 5. Last cycle, we retrieved 8 eggs. The next morning we learned that only 2 fertilized. However, a day later a 3rd one fertilized. So we know it can happen. Even if it doesn't, we are totally siked about 5 embryos!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll find out tomorrow whether we're doing a 3-day or 5-day transfer. I really really want to do a 5 day transfer but it all depends on how the embryos are doing. I'm hoping they are cleaving as we speak

Yesterday my ab area was tender and sore. I also had cramps. However, today I feel much much better. Not quite 100% but pretty close. So keep drinking those fluids ladies, keep the heating pad on the belly and have DH wait on you

Good luck with all the ERs this week. Keep us updated. I'll let you know how my embies are doing.

Kim14: I had to go in for BW/US every day since last Monday! And I am guessing I will be there Mon, Tues and Wed, too! I am so tired! I would love to sleep in one morning! Sounds like we will be going through ER on the same day!!

As for me, my E2 yesterday was 2189!! I went again this morning for BW & US. They measured about 14 follies of good size. Another couple still smaller. Hi ladies, I've been on here reading posts.
I'm usually on the june/july board but it looks like
this one you guys are stimming with me.
I've been stimming for 7 nights now.
My RE had me start out on low dose of menupur and bravelle
for fear of ohss. I thought that the dose was to low, then at my
first b/w my e2 level was low and this continued up until yesterday.

I uped my own dose on the 4th and 5th night of stimming
and my e2 went up but not enough so the re told me to up my
dose even higher [now mind you they don't know I uped my own dose]
So anyway now I'm finally starting to feel the pain in my ovaries
and the bloated feeling so hopefully all is well.

I don't know when my ER will be because they told me nothing
I hate to be in the dark about this touchy thing.

Hi Ladies,

I'm glad everyone is doing well and it sounds like we all will be done with ER in a few days! Yeah!! Good luck to all of you who have already had the ER/ET. I know that the waiting for the daily update can be difficult, as is the 2ww, so here is to a quick couple of weeks for all of us.

I have to take 1/2 of the trigger tonight for a retrieval on Tuesday am. I have started to have right kidney pain which they say is coming from my ovary, so I am beginning to worry about OHSS. I didn't get the numbers today, but last time they measured about 9 on each side and all are growing well.

Hi guys...whew. My appt went well this morning! I met with the Dr. for a pre-op appt and so far she thinks I will be ready for ER thursday. Sounds like a lot of us are on the same schedule....big week for everyone. Baby dust to you all! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Off to see Batman!
