Elisabeth: That's great that your DH doesn't have to do TESE tomorrow. If's he's anxious about his "deposit", at least he doesn't have to have the surgery! My DH was nervous about all the pressure last cycle - he ended up producing the sample at home (sorry, TMI) and we brought it in with us. My DH has to have his 1st TESE Wednesday right before ER. He's pretty nervous and doesn't know what to expect. I think he's worried about being sore for a while after - he's really active & he doesn't want to slow down! How did your DH do with TESE last time?

Good luck tomorrow (and DCDiva and JHarris too!)

RBJean - You probably already triggered tonight. You are almost there. I heard the trigger is the "party shot". I can't wait till I am there.

elisabethski73, jharris and dcdiva - It sounds like a party tomorrow! I hope all of you feel wonderful...I am looking forward to an update. I was wondering the same thing about if you have to wait 2 wks or if you get some input during that time when you go in for bw?

venus25 - Like you said, positive attitude, and stick embies! Sorry about not getting the 5 day like you wanted.

antoak - 9 fertilized eggs is wonderful!!! I hope Wed. comes fast for you.

babyloves - thinking good thoughts for you during this waiting period!

As for me well I have my US & BW tomorrow and then I start the Lupron and Dex. I plan to start stims on the 25th.

I am going through CCRM, and it sounds like the plan is to transfer two when I get to that point. I have mixed feelings on the issue like I am sure many of you do. Okay, I still haven't figured out the whole 'beta' thing. Can someone explain the beta numbers and when these are taken? Thanks!!

Hi there ladies!
Well, I'm just on to give you an ER update as well. Things went pretty well this morning. My DH and I were hoping for 18 eggs like last time, but they got 9. The MD said that she was a bit shocked as there were "so many follicles, I thought you would have had more". But, I am trying to stay very positive and think that they got a ton last time and it ended in a m/c, so hopefully this time, less will be more. Maybe the quality will be better. And, still, 9 is not a number I should feel badly about. I'm feeling a bit sore, but nothing terrible and I haven't had to take the Vicodin, just Tylenol for pain, so that is good.

Well, I still haven't even seem my MD this cycle. Only a few other docs. Have any of you experienced this before. It seems like he is going to get paid very well for not even seeing me!! I'm hoping he will be present for the ET, but who knows!

Kim and Anj: good luck on the ER tomorrow! I will be sending lots of baby dust your way!

I hope everyone else is hanging in there, too!

Hey ladies. Just giving a quick update on my ER today. I am so excited they got 12 eggs!!! I was so worried as I thought I only had 7 follies so it was a shock to end up with 12 eggs. I was really worried about OHSS but after the retrieval I feel so much better. I have to say I had quite a bit of discomfort after the ER. Was vomiting a lot from the meds. When I got home I put on the heating pad and went to sleep and woke up 6 hours later. I feel much better now. I have to wait until tomorrow to see how many fertilized. It feels so weird to me to think of my eggs and hubbys sperm sitting in a dish somewhere doing their thing. I really wish I could see them haha! Do you think my RE will let me visit them :-)

Elizabeth - are you saying the your doctor didn't do the ER? My doc has done every for me except draw blood. I was just thinking the other day that the nurses must be bored because the doctor does everything.

Jharris - congrats on your ER!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I will post an update on how many embies i get. My clinic usually does 5 day blasts so I should have ET on Sunday.

Elizabeth and dc diva - congrats! sounds like everything went perfect! Cant wait to hear the update tommorow while im popping my vicadon after er :-) Diva- your clinic sounds better than mine. Ive seen my doc once this cycle.

Any of you ladies had experience with during ivf or feel like you might be getting a yeast infection. i think it was from the antibiotics i had to take last week. I have been eating yogurt but dont think it did the trick. think im going to have to suck it up till at least transfer. Can you take anything after transfer if you are pregnant????

Ill send an update on er tommow. Happy embryo growing! Did my ap today so keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Congrats Elizabeth Jharris and DC Diva. Hoping that everything does well with the fertilization.

I haven't seen my RE once this cycle. Seems like the nurses do everything!!! Last cycle, my RE didn't even perform the retrieval and some other RE did my cyst aspiration this cycle.

Went for b/w and u/s this morning and had 12 follicles of which 6 were greater than 15 mm. Have to go back tomorrow morning. Hoping that can go a few more days in hopes of some borderline follicles get growth spurts and especially getting more mature eggs after last cycle's letdown.

Looking forward to everyone's updates and keeping my fingers crossed.

JHarris, Elisabeth and DCDiva - congrats on some great egg numbers! Elisabeth - sorry to hear you were so sick after ER, sounds like you had a bad reaction to anestesia? Rest up and drink lots of fluids! Can't wait to hear the fert reports from all of you.

Kim and Anj, it's our turn tomorrow! We have to be there are 6 for DH's TESE and I go at 8:30.

Emfossum: Congrats on getting started. It will all start to move faster now that you started shots. Thanks for all the encouragement!

Hommy: Glad to hear things are rolling for you. I had headaches from the Lupron too, but I seemed to adjust after about 3-4 days.

Babyloves: Hope you're keeping yourself busy during the 2WW. We'll be joining you shortly.

Nicky: Sounds like you're getting close - that's a great follie report so far.

Hello ladies! Big week here it looks like! Congrats to you all who have had ER and good luck to those who are about to. Just got the ok to trigger tonight and sceduled for Er thursday. Very excited, however I have a nasty case of the flu! I can't keep anything down and I am vomiting every hour. I called the Doc on call (since it is after hours) and she was worried I have a high level of hormones in my system and the meds may be making me sick. After some investigation, since i am not having any pain or discomfort we decided it is some sort of bug. Hoping this will not ruin anything for thursday!!!! I am going to do nothing but sleep tomorrow and take care of myself....We've been working way too hard this month to let some flu get in the way!!!!

BTW...Elizabeth...I have only seen my doc once! I talk to the RN a lot, but never the Doc. She will be doing my ER though. It totally threw me off earlier in the week when I got a phone call saying the doctor wanted to meet with me. I thought something was wrong, but it was just a pre-op appt. LOL.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's progress!

Good morning ladies!! It is a busy week for this group!!

Good luck with ER today anj, Kim, and RBJean!! Can't wait to hear about all the eggs that were retrieved today!! Kim, I would ask your RE about the yeast infection. Wouldn't want something like that to interfere!

Elisabeth & dcdiva: Congrats on all the eggs! I can't wait for our fert reports today!! I'm sure we will all have plenty to work with!!
Elisabeth, I wouldn't worry too much about fewer eggs. I'm sure tht just means they are healthier! I haven't seen my RE much either. A lab tech does the bloodwork, and a nurse did all the US. I saw my RE for the consult, but that's about it. I didn't even see him before they put me under for ER, and he was gone before I woke up! I did see one of the 2 RE's for the transfer last time though.
And how is everyone else getting lucky enough to get Vicodin? My Re just said take Tylenol!!
dcdiva: How are you feeling this morning? The yucky sick feeling gone now? It is kinda weird thinking of our little embies in a dish!

rn2005: Congrats on getting to trigger!! But get feeling better soon! Sorry to hear that bug has hit you.

nickyb: I'm sure the other 6 will begin to catch up! You still have plenty of time for them all to grow! Good luck this morning!

So now I'm just waiting to hear from the embryologist to see how my little embies are doing! Hopefully we had more mature this cycle. I I am also hoping we get to day 5 this time! This is going to be a long day waiting for that call! Baby wishes to you all!! Thinking about you!
