Kate-I love your insight on this pregnancy thing. I think I wasn't bothered by my SIL getting pregnant since I knew she was trying and it is her first. My brother and fiance bothered me so much since they are so young and weren't trying.
Enjoy your holiday, hope that English weather holds up......I used to spend my summers there and in Ireland and I know how bad they can be!

JDC-Grow follies grow!

Karen-your body can take awhile. I remember mine took awhile after my 3rd m/c.

Jharris-thinking about you!

Suequwi-your turn is coming :)

Valerie-hope you are doing well :)

Babyloves-how are you feeling? Are you POAS?

jharris Good luck today at ER! I know you will have plenty of eggies to work with!

Hoping Are you excited for ER tomorrow? I'm excited for you! My first u/s is tomorrow. It's like time can't go fast enough right now for me.

kate21 I like your thinking. Starting a garden sounds like a wonderful project while you are waiting. That gives you something to nurture and care for.

SueKiwi The whole thing about only one of my ovaries working was such a kick in the butt. When I was being prepped for my surgery to remove my tubes, there was a little mixup and they were talking about removing one of my ovaries! As you can imagine I completely freaked out! Well, eventually the docs and nurses got their act together and they assured me they would not remove my ovary. I screamed "I need my ovaries!" Anyway, there I was last cycle with only one ovary anyway! (basically). Life can be so cruel sometimes. Well girl, I'm am keeping my fingers crossed right now like you wouldn't believe to get them both up and running - and for you to :!:

Val How are you? I hope you are starting to feel like your old self again. 8)

Babyloves How are you feeling? How are the progesterone shots? I didnt' get that far last time, but I here they can be painful. Can't wait for you to lead the way with the first BFP on the board!

Karen I don't think you are being silly at all. Optimism is a beautiful thing, and I know you have experienced a great loss, so to hear that excited tone in your post was just wonderful! Sending some hugs your way!

to_have_fun I agree with the others....that BFP is gonna be worth the wait, and the best B-day gift ever. Hang in there! Waiting can be so tough sometimes.

As for me....like I said before, time is moving so slow. I just want to know if anything is actually happening in there with my lazy ovaries! I wish I could have continued with my herbs - my digestion was so good when I was on them. My ap says it's okay to take them, but I won't because RE said no.

Until later........

Hello ladies,

I have been on this site for 1wk now and you all are so supportive of each other. I don't know everone's story that well but I pray for you all......

val and sue who may feel bad about the pregnancy of others please don't. We're all humans with emotions that are real and valid. I am sure there is no one that can fault you for feeling that way. Just feel what it is you need to feel and move on because remember, you guys have your own babies to make. :)

jharris you are in my prayers.....congrats on your 14  take it easy and good luck!

Welcome Rosario! wishing you the best during your stims!!! I'm glad you joined us.

jharris~ You did great, girl!! Eggscellent news just like I thought! A baker's dozen plus one! You are going to have fabulous embies.
Rest a lot and have DH do a lot for you. Hope you're not feeling too bloated...in a few days, they're coming home to you.

Karen~ I think you're doing terrific for what you've just been through. You seem like a very strong person and all those feelings you have are totally normal. You were pregnant before and now you will be again...with a beautiful baby in your arms at the end of your journey. Stay strong...keep cultivating those positive thoughts!

JJJake~ You're right that all those feelings are valid and real. We just have to live them as they're part of us.

And you're right too that we have to move on, that's what I'm doing because I'm making a baby here and that is number 1 right now in my life so I have to have all the positive feelings possible.

SueQiwi~ You know I feel your pain!!! AHHHH that can be so so hard. But you have to think about you now and gather all the positive energy towards you so you can announce real soon that you're going to be a Mommy! Big giant hug for you.

I've decided to stay in touch with my cousin and support her in her pregnancy, be by her side and share her joy. I do love her so much and I know she'll deliver a beautiful baby. I know she wants me there for her.

I'm feeling much much better, my spirits are high again and I'm concentrating on what I'm supposed to do to get my BFP!

hoping~ It's time for you to get those little eggs out of you! Not for too long, they'll be back with you very soon. Good luck tomorrow and I can't wait to hear the good news. :D

That's it for me tonight...talk to you tomorrow!

Much love,

Val

Goodmorning ladies! I had my u/s this morning and it was very frustrating because I literally had a room full of doctors trying to find my left ovary! Well, they did eventually find it, but no news to report. They said it is still too early to tell anything....nothing is really happening yet. It was so weird driving there this morning though, because it was terrential down poors and Wed - exact same scenario as my first cycle.

Well, I will catch up with everyone later......

Good morning ladies. Hope you all had a wonderful evening.

hoping: I can't wait to hear how your ER goes today!!! I am feeling good things for you this cycle!! :D

MzTia: Thank you! Last cycle I had 10 eggs, but only 6 of them were mature, and only 3 fertilized. So I'm hoping they do better this go round!

JJJAKE: Thank you for all your prayers. This is definitely a wonderful supportive group!

Rosario: Welcome to the group! Wow, you are starting on 600 units? How many cycles have you gone through? Good luck to you!

valerie: Woo Hoo! Thank you so much! I rested well yesterday, but I'm back to work today. :? I'm so glad that you are well enough to stand by your cousin. I am sure it means the world to her to have your support! Your turn is coming soon!

JDC: Sorry you didn't get better news at your US this morning. It would have to be frustrating wo have all the doctors in there. Talk about stressful! When do you go back in?

I'm just waiting to hear from the embryologist to see how my little embies are doing. Hopefully he won't keep me waiting too long! I'm feeling okay today, just a little sore, but okay. I'm back at work, and can't wait for ET either Friday or Sunday!! I'm thinking of you all!!

Can I join you?

Post by ohbabybaby »

Hi everyone!

Hope it's not too late to join you. This is our first IVF cycle and I'm pretty nervous and excited at the same time.
We're doing IVF with ICSI. I started BCP on July 6th and Lupron on July 20th. I've been reading through this thread and everyone seems so knowledgeable. Just reading your posts has helped to calm my nerves a little. :D

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better in the next few weeks!

Good afternoon ladies. Just wanted to give you a quick update from my embryologist (who called my house and left me a message instead of calling my cell phone!! :? ) OF our 14 eggs retrieved, 11 were mature, they did ICSI on all 11, and of those, 9 fertilized!!! :D He said they are doing "nicely"!! So I am very optimistic about thic cycle! We only had 3 fertilize last time, so this is a big improvement! He said he would call me tomorrow to discuss the transfer date! I am so excited! We may even have frosties this time!

ohbaby: It's not too late to join! The more the merrier! Welcome to the group! It is completely understandable to be nervous and excited your first cycle. We all were!! Best of luck to you, and feel free to ask us whatever you need to know!

Hope the rest of you ladies are doing good?! Hoping, still waiting to hear your update!! Have a great afternoon girls!

Thanks Jharris! And congratulations! 9 fertilized!!!! That is amazing! I can hardly wait until I'm at that point too!

Quick question. I've been reading a lot about how being overweight can really effect my chances of getting pregnant. It's scaring me because I'm about 60 pounds overweight right now. For the past month I've been dieting and exercising to try to lose as much as possible before starting my stims, but I just read today that I should avoid losing weight at this time too. I'm confused and scared. I don't want to make any mistakes.
