At least you know you have options! You can still change your mind re the hospital you give birth in, so if they continue you to p!ss you off - just change!
I know what you mean about the fertility team, but I think you'll be surprised. I always go and see mine whenever I'm visiting the hospital. I ring and tell them when I'm having my scan and last time one of the nurses came to the scan because she wanted to check on the twins! Bless.
she said sometimes they feel left out, because once patients get pg they forget about the fertility team who helped get them there in the first place! Dh and I have become quite close to our two nurses (we invited them to our wedding!!) and I'll never forget the help and support they gave us! It also helps, because one of them has had twins - so she is full of helpful advice/tips on what happens when you take them home.....
How's your weekend been?? It's just started pi$$ing down here which is nice!!!
I think I will give my fertility team a buzz as it's true what you say. They were the ones who got me to this stage and I am sure they will want to know how I am getting on. Also one of the student midwives who looked after me during EC and while I was in hospital want's to follow me through my pregnancy and come to all my appointments and scans is at that hospital too. She is so sweet. She came to my booking in appointment and will be at my 20 week scan (she couldn't make the 12 week one). She will be at the birth as well. I expect she keeps the team informed of my progress.
It's lovely that you invited them to your wedding. We would have done the same as it's the sort of thing I do. We will invite some of them to the christening. We called one of the doctors 'Auntie Shuba' from very early on as she is so nice and friendly and really took an interest when I was so ill. She was quite touched I think.
