How thick is TOO thick?

Post by christiedawn »

I was wondering if anyone had any information about lining thickness. I have read on the Internet a range from 6mm to 14mm is OK.
My RE said that they used to believe that too thick was not good, but that has been disproven. If it has, I can't find anything about it.
On the day of ER mine was 24....yes you read right TWENTY FOUR mm.

Now I have the whole negative vibe of even if I do transfer two good embies, that they will not stick or I will m/c because of my thick uterine lining.

Any info -- good or bad ---will help.

Thanks,

The study found at the URL below is one of the best I have seen on endometrial thickness.

http://tinyurl.com/6hu849

They found steadily increasing success as the endometrial thickness increased, even to 16mm or more.

But 24mm??????? Never heard of one that thick!
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

My lining was 18 mm on hcg trigger day. That was my 3rd (and successful) IVF cycle. I had read elsewhere at the time and asked a couple of the online IVF MDs and they stated it would be fine (and they were right!)

So, good luck!

Should I be worried that my endo thickness is only 3.1mm? I had my internal ultrasound today and I've been researching as I'm to impatient to wait for my next gyno visit. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome, does my thickness also reduce my fertility?? Please help I'm only 20 years old and I'm already stressing

Depends on when your being measured.. 3.1 is fine after you just got AF. If you are ovulating you want it thicker.
