Anyone transferring early in August??

Post by emfossum »

Hi, I am undergoing my 1st, and I hope only, IVF cycle early August. I am fairly new to forums and have been posting on another topic for end of July cycle. I have met some wonderful ladies, and have learned a ton in a very short time. I am interested in finding out who might be out there that is on a closer schedule to my own. The retrieval is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 6th, and the only meds that I have been on are the BCPs, and have only been on those for 8 days. I am going through CCRM in Denver, and have heard some good things. We went through CCRM for all 5 of our IUIs and they failed. Our protocol is Lupron for suppression, and for stim - Menopur and Gonal F. I go to the AP twice a week, which is the best part of this whole thing. I walk away feeling so peaceful, at least for part of the day. My biggest fears and managing the shots and hoping I can keep that part in order.

Hi Elizabeth!

I'm doing my first FET - not sure of the date yet but I think it will be between 7/23 and 7/30. Good luck at CCRM! I'm actually at CRE but am thinking about switching to CCRM if we don't have any luck tranferring our frosties at the current clinic.

Hi!

You should look at the Aug/ Sept thread as there are lots of us at various stages of tmt on there - am sure there would be one of us who is close to your schedule.

Thanks Kate, yeah I think I will do that. The ladies in end of July post are wonderful! Most of them are in the late stages of stim meds and are getting close to ER. I feel like I understand so much more listening and following their experiences. I will check out the aug thread as well. Thanks!

Hi there alimoyni! We are very close to the same schedule. :)
I am one day after you. How long did they put you on BCPs, and what is your protocol for meds?

I am on the final couple days of BCP, it will end up being 2weeks and 5 days of BCP. I think I am on a standard 1st timer IVF protocol. Lupron shots and Gonal-f shots.

I made a calendar for my family to follow my stuff along with me. You can see what I am taking: http://karrels.com/Allison/IVFCalender.xls

Hi!!! I am starting my shots today (Luveris and Puregon) and my retrieval is schedueled for August 4th...so we are pretty close!!!!

This is my second cycle. My first IVF was a BPF, twins...sadly I M/C 4 months later due to a fungus infection.

I have to say, the whole thing is pretty stressing (the shots, the ER, ET, 2 weeks..) but is certanly the most efficient way to get pregnant...so you have to be strong and think in your baby-to-be. Also I would really recommend yoga for relaxing.

Good luck for us all!!!!!

Hi Ronnie and Mary- yes we are on the same schedules, but my shots don't start yet. Good luck with you day one shots and I let me know how your feeling. The BCP makes me feel like I am pregnant, ha! My breasts are swollen and I am bloated. I also feel a slight more sensitive than usual.

Ronnie- So sorry about the MC, I know that must have been difficult. :(

Will any of you be using ICSI?

alimoyni- I love your calendar! I am going to make on for myself. Thanks for sharing!

CRE is at Rose Medical in Denver. I started with them before I realized that CCRM is also on my insurance. If I do switch I'll probably go to CCRM's north office since Lone Tree is about an hour's drive for me.

My husband had testicular cancer but sperm banked prior to his treatment. He is in remission now and we decieded to go ahead and start IVF. Due to our limited amount of sperm ICSI was really our best option. So yea, I will be doing ICSI also :)

Hi alimoyni - How are you doing on your stims?

Hi Kerpupples - I am not as familiar with FET, do you have to use the same medications? Trigger?

Hi Mary - How are you doing on your stims.

I start my stims next week. I am nervous, but anxious at the same time.

Lupron is going fine, got a couple bruises on my belly from 2 of the shots. Excited for thursday when I have a ultrasound, bloodwork and start my gonal-f. I am actually babysitting my 1 year old nephew for 3 days while my sister is out of town. Not sure if its the hormones or what but last night I just kept thinking, what if these 3 days are the closest I ever get to being a mom. Pretty sad thought for me. I am hopeful the IVF works within a couple tries but you never know what fate has in store for you.

Hi everyone,

I am also new to the site; my husband did email back in March when we were going thru our second IVF cycle. I just started taking Lupron last Monday 7/14; retrieval is schedule for 8/9th or 10th with transfer between 8/13th to the 15th depending on 3 or 5 days.

This is my 3rd IVF cycle; I did go thru four failed IUI's. My first IVF was a BFN my second IVF was in March BFP but ended in a miscarrage and possibly an etopic pregenancy at 8 weeks. My beta numbers started out great but didn't quite double; so I knew something was going on.

I wish all the best for everyone.
