Feeling blue

Post by MichelleA »

Hi Girls
I'm on day 9 of the 2ww and due to test on Friday. I was awake in the night thinking am I aren't I, and now I've got myself in a really, really negative state and just had a good old cry. The first time I did IVF, which was positive, but ended in m/c....I am sure that I felt different by this time on the 2ww. My boobs hurt and I was peeing loads in the night...this time nothing, I feel absolutely normal, too normal. I know that each pregnancy can be different and that I would say to anyone else in my position don't be silly, it doesn't mean anything either way, but I just can't help feeling sorry for myself. Dh has been lovely, but he is so positive, that he just can't figure why I have got myself so upset.
I know I'm being silly but I guess with all the drugs and emotions running riot I can't help it and I hate feeling this way. I've got work tomorrow so have to pull myself together and start having that PMA again (I've been so good up until the last couple of days I promise).
Anyway I hope that you are all having lovely weekend.
Love, Michelle x  :(
Our darling son Jake was born in October 2004 on our 3rd IVF attempt. I have PCOS. We're now trying again naturally, before embarking on our next FET IVF possibly late 2005... so watch this space!!!

be positive

Post by Wendy »

:D Every pregnancy is different, when I got a positive I had no symptoms for months, absolutely nothing, no peeing, no swollen achey boobs, no sickness - nothing - So, be positive. Being emotional is definately a good sign....
Keep your chin up and think positive thoughts, imagine that little embyo burrowing into your nice cosy womb.
Loads of love and hugs, I know telling you to be positive is not much help - but knowing that you COULD BE PREGNANT with no symptoms might be . Hope so, and go give DH a big hug for being such a wonderful hubby - you could do with those big blue furry arms to give you a
(((((big squeeze))))) right about now :D :D :D love Wendyxxxxx

Hi Michelle,
Don't think anyone can offer really anything you don't already know. Your hormones are a raging girl so no wonder you're emotional :D . Every IVF cycle I've done is different so keep telling yourself not to look into it too much...Just remember that everyone is here for you and go with the flow...Trace's retail therapy idea is a good one, but working might also take you mind of the next few days a bit and help them pass quicker. Whatever you do, take it easy and send those +++'s down to thay embie!!!!

Sue - you too keep your chin up - all I had was bad af symtoms!!! LOL

Take care both

Hi Michelle, Sorry to hear you're so worried. I think work is just what you'll need to help pass the week until Friday. Chin up, and I totally agree with the PPs that the emotional ups and downs are due to all those +++++++ hormones racing around....

Give DH a big hug back! :D

love
Debra.

Hi Michelle

PMA, PMA, PMA. Be positive. I had absolutely no symptoms this last time and was convinced it hadn't worked, but it had and I was gob smacked. Sometimes your body just plays tricks on your mind. Please don't fret too much and I wish you lots and lots of luck for Friday.

Take care

Love Dagny xx

Lovely girls
Thank you so much for all your kind posts - they really made me feel better. I've had a much better day today, you are so right, work has kept my little brain active...
I've also just had acupuncture and feel so much more positive now. I phoned the hospital today to ask if is a bad sign to have no symptons and the nurse said not at all - it doesn't mean anything either way. So I'm just praying that I don't start bleeding (started on day 11 last attempt which is tomorrow) and that I make it to test day.
PMA is so right.

Michelle,
Glad you are feeling a bit better today. You'll be even better after tomorrow. Just remember though, even if you do bleed, it doesn't mean necessarily that it hasn't worked - me and loads of others are proof of that... :D
Keep chilling!
