HELP!! HICCUPS

Post by dueon9/11 »

I am currently 32 1/2 weeks pregnant and for the past month I've had the hiccups EVERYDAY (most of the day). For the past couple of weeks, I have them so bad at night that I end up sick on my stomach (I guess this is my version of morning sickness).

Does anyone have a "cure" for the hiccups? Has anyone else experienced this while pregnant?

This probably won't make you feel any better but at least you'll know you're not alone -- I read a story about a woman who had the hiccups non-stop from her fifth month to the day she delivered. There was no cure. Apparently, the hormones that relax our muscles, tendons, etc. to accommodate the pregnancy may have caused the woman's diaphragm to relax as well, causing spasms that caused the hiccups. The woman in the story had the same problems with her second child as well.

Good luck and I hope your hiccups go away soon!!
