Post by beachbaby »

Hi Ladies,

Zachary Andrew 6lb 4oz, Oliver George 7lb 1oz were born on July 9th by c-section.

3 hours later i took a turn for the worse and to cut a long story short i ended up with an emergency hysterectomy later that evening, i had 20 units of blood transfused and my family told the next 24 hours were critical. But i made it.

I only left hospital on saturday and am now on the long road to recovery, feeling better every day. Enjoying my beautiful boys, they are perfect.

Will catch up with you all soon.

Take care everyone

Jayne,

OMG - you've been through so much. We were really worried for you and wondering where you were.

Firstly,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your twins are here and your family is now complete. Hope you are enjoying every minute. :D So pleased for you.

More importantly, I wish you a quick recovery. An emergency hysterectomy sounds quite scary. Your DH and family must have been soo worried. But its all good now, you have your precious ones AND you're ok. Please take good care of yourself. From what I've heard your body needs some time to recover from this procedure and with taking care of 2 babies, it must be knackering for you. Hopefully you have enough help.

Do keep us informed whenever you get the chance.

Jayne,

CONGRATULATIONS on your twin boys!!! Did you have any feeling what you were carrying? How exciting. I am so glad the babies and you are home safe and sound!! Love the names you choose...they are pretty big for twins right?? They had awesome weights!!! So happy for you.

Oh my gosh...like the rest of the girls said, we were really starting to worry. I cannot believe what you have been through. Like you and your family needed anything else to worry about. I can only imagine how DH got through that night. Here you are giving birth to you TWO miracles that you have tried so hard for and now the DR is telling DH you are in bad shape...gosh, that just gives me the chills and I am tearing up. But enough, you are a fighter just like your babies!!!! SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! take care of yourself.

Lots of LOVE AND HUGS...

My boys are a joy and so good, DH is an absolute rock, but has to go back to work next week so working out a rota to make sure someone is here with me at all times. My MIL is having them all night Friday to give us a full nights rest per week.

Mia, lovely to hear from you, so glad your boys are doing well.

Beachbaby.....CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so glad I happened to notice this post. I remember when I first started this whole IVF process I watched your progress and saw you become pregnant (obviously from afar)......your name stands out in my memory.

Anyway....you did well, good size twins, what an acheivment and an inspiration to the rest of us.....especially those carrying twins or more. (I'm having just one...fine by me)

Well, I gotta say, as an OB nurse, for you to have been transfused that many units of bloods and then need a hysterectomy I understand the seriousness of your situation. I'm so glad you received good care and made it through, must have been very scary for all involved. I bet you're glad to be home with your little darlings! Best wishes to you and your whole family.
