8dpt and beta level 12

Dr wants me to come back on Friday for another beta test but he thinks I had a chemical pregnancy. Anyone have beta level 12 and still carry a healthy baby?

I haven't personally, but I have read of people that have started with very low betas and have went on to carry full term w/o problems. Try not to worry so much.. I know friday seems like years away. I hope on friday you get wonderful news that your numbers have doubled and tripled!!

Thank you for the encouraging words. I see you had a chemical pregnancy my dr did mention that I might be having one. If you don't mind can you tell me how did you know you were having a chemical pregnancy were your beta levels low?

I think its too early to decide at this stage- at 8dpt. Usually clinics check at 11dpt or at 14 dpt to avoid this confusion. Was it a 3d/5d embryo transfer ?
Anyways, you can surely keep your positive mental attitude and not give up so early. Because if u are not pregnant it could be the last few HCG levels showing in the test result, but if you are really pregnant ( which is a real possibility) , it could be that HCG has started to show up and will double/ triple by friday. We dont know which one and its difficult to guess, but definitely levels on friday will tell. Keep ur faith and pray to God. Wish you the best.

It was a 5d embryo transfer. I am so frustrated I asked the dr and nurses if this was too early to test they told me no but as i am researching it looks as though no one was tested this early.

Today is 8 DPT for me and my test is not scheduled until Monday the 28th. I think it's too early which could be why your number is low. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Then yes, that is definitely on the low side. Those low ones sometimes make it to live birth. Not as often as the higher ones.

It's a 5day transfer, still there's hope...it takes 5-7 days after a 5 day transfer for HCG to show up ..so ...just pray and take good care of yourself. Only the next beta can clarify our doubts. Wish u GL.

My chemical pregnancy was actually a shock to me/dh and also for my doc. My beta was 192 on 13dpo which was supposed to be great. 2 days later I went in for a blood to test to check if my betas had doubled, but it had not gone up at all and then day by day just started decreasing.

I went yesterday and my beta levels are 36. I have to go back on Monday for more bloodwork. Trying to stay positive.

It's going in the right direction.....and still early, so stay positive and hang in there! I go in on Monday for mine, so hopefully we'll both have good news! Just rest this weekend and let that baby get strong and sticky in there.

Your levels are doing good. I am happy for you, Allie. Take good care of urself and pray all goes well. At the way things are going, I expect to see levels well above 150 on day 14 post transfer which is when most of us have our betas done.

I got my beta number for today it was 158. Rlzysk did you have your test today? The more I read the more confused I am I had my 5day transfer on July 15th so does that make today 13 days? I'm not sure if it goes by retrieval or transfer date? Thanks everyone for all the encouraging words, I go back on Friday for bloodwork and a scan.

allie17 - that is great news!!!! That is right on target for this time. Yes, we both had the embryo transfer on July 15, so that makes us 13 dpt. My clinic does the testing based on the egg retrieval, which for me was on July 10, so today is also 18 dpr (their goal is to do the testing on 17 dpr).

I had my beta this morning...........it was positive and my level is 404 - which is high, so I'm thinking there may be more than one! Yikes!!!!

So we are both officially pregnant!!!! What did your clinic tell you about the rise in your levels? I'm assuming they feel this is positive and that the pregnancy is getting stronger. 158 is a perfect number for 13dpt! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!
