Hi gals..quick hello to everyone...and hope everyone is doing well.
The 2ww is tough, but i'm 1/2 way thru, beta on friday 8/1...don't know what i'm feeling...sometimes get up thinking that this is not working at all, but then try to stay positive so that if the embies have grown, they don't get upset :)...the pio shots suck, i must say even with ice, they hurt in the morning. i'm feeling slightly more tired and kinda blah...no more real cramps, no spotting, nothing. I know you can't read into symptoms, but its so hard not too..i'm going to POAS on thursday nite...i don't trust it otherwise. How are all the other 2ww doing?

HELP Guys - I woke up this am with the worst pain in my hip clearly from some progesterone that traveled. You guys had this? It kills. any advice. I tried rubbing it and am now doing a heating pad.

I wonder about my clinic - they will do no more that 2 embries at transfer and really dont recommend 2 but rather 1. Ive noticed tons of women on here have more and i really think it increases your chances. Do your clinics have criteria for how many they transfer?

Our clinic also wont freeze till blast even if its 5, 6, o7 day

Hi ladies,

Well, we were awakened by our clinic this am stating that they now want to move our transfer date, yet again!!!, to tomorrow or a 6 day transfer. I am truly very worried about this as all of the stats I have seen have shown a lower success rate with 6det vs. 5. She said that 4 were turning into blastocysts and hatching, so they would not transfer them today. Any thoughts? We feel awful!!!

Next, how long after ET do we schedule beta's? Is it always 14 days or if you do a 5 or 6 day ET is it sooner? Or is it all dependant upon date of ER? I totally can't remember.

Thanks for your help! I'll write more later! Hope everyone is doing great and in good spirits!

I had ET yesterday, things looked better than last time. They transfered 4 embryos. 2- 8cell grade2+ and 3+, 1- 10 cell grade 2+, 1-12cell grade 3. I was surprised by the 10 and 12 cells. Is this unusal for day 3? I was exhasted yesterday so when we got home I slept for 3hrs. Laying around is so hard. Every twing or pain I seem to read into, its so stressful. Well I hope everyone is feeling great and staying positive!!!

Hi Ladies,
Wow so many going for 5 days trf.

Kim14, DcDiva and Nickyb73 - Good luck on your ET. Hope to join you all soon. Btw Kim, how come your clinic only do 2 embies trf? My cetre do encourage women below 35 to trf 2 embies, but then I request to put 3 embies.

Elisabeth - I asked the same question, why not 3 day trf or 5 day trf? The doc told us the centre has a higher success rate with 2 day trf rather than 3 days. As for 5 days, it can be done as per our request. But after serious thinking, we would like to go for 2 days trf. If you are doing 5 days trf, I suppose you can test it earlier than those with 3 days trf.

NicoleMarieLg - Good luck to you moro. Your 2ww is finally over.

Im going for another scan moro to c the growth of my eggs. Stay positive gals....its the way to keep us stronger :D

Hommy - they feel its safer tot he mom and babies to only do 2 embries but im not so sure. i feel like i would have a better chance if they did 3.

elisabeth - i think you have a high probability of having some to freeze from your description of the embries :-)

Good afternoon ladies! Hope you are all having a great weekend. I don't know about you all, but I think bed rest is one of the hardest parts of this!! My RE's office suggests 3 days bed rest, so of course my DH says I HAVE to stay rested for 3 days. He doesn't want me getting up for anything!! I'm going crazy! I will be so ready to get up and do normal stuff again tomorrow!

antoak: If you don't feel comfortable telling someone, don't!! It will only make you even more anxious than you are. Not much longer till your beta, 2 days before mine! Prayer is the best thing to get you through!

nickyb: I know it's hard to hear only 3 fertilized, but that's really all you need to make it work! Best of luck tomorrow!

kim: WOW! I am so sorry about all the DR problems you are running into! Hard to believe the urgent care couldn't help. :? I can only imagine your frustration. Sorry the PIO is causing pain. All clinics are different about how many to transfer. Mine said 2 when we started, but both times have transferred 3. Guess it depends on the situation.

tortilla: Congrats on those 4 embies! You are PUPO!! Beta is the pregnancy test.

babyloves: Yeah to halfway through!! You must really be going crazy about now! I've been a little more sore in the am after the PIO shots. It's thicker this cycle though, so I'm guessing that is why it seems worse. At least its for a good cause!

NicoleMarie: Best of luck tomorrow!! Get us started with that BFP!! Have you not POAS yet??

elisabeth: I haven't heard of a 6day transfer! But if you have 4 turning into blastocysts, that should be a good sign. My RE does beta 14 days after ET no matter what day I think.

anj: Congrats on ET!! 4 embies is great! Sounds like great quality, so I think you are doing good! We will get to celebrate in 2 weeks! :D

hommy: Good luck with your scan tomorrow!

To everyone else, hope you enjoy your weekend, and try not to go crazy during the 2ww!! It's almost our time!

RBJean - I am so so sorry to hear about your news. I can only imagine the extreme disappointment you and DH are feeling. I am sending you lots of virtual hugs during this difficult time. Take some down time with DH to deal with this. I am wishing you all the best.

NIcoleMarieLG - Yeah your 2ww is almost over!!!! Yippee!!! Good luck tomorrow with your beta. I know you must be nervous. My beta is not until Friday and I'm already nervous

dcdiva, rn2005, Kim14, Elisabeth, nickyb73 - good luck with the ETs!!! Try not to worry about which day the embies are transferred - I know easier said than done. I was initially worried that I didn't make it to the 5-day transfer and instead had a 3-day transfer. I've let go of that worry b/c there is just no telling which day will work with each embryo - the docs don't even know this for sure. It's a #s game and a game of luck. I believe in prayers and crossing my fingers :) Also, those embies making it longer in the lab and developing into blasts are showing their viability so try to look it as a good thing. Plus you get more "early on" photos of your children!! :D Kim I hope you feel better soon. I would have been so aggravated with all the run around with the doctors. Elisabeth - no worries on the wine. I'm sure all is fine. I could almost taste the wine when reading your post... Nickyb73 - three fertilized embies is good news (although I know you wanted more). Keep in mind it really only takes one to work. So try to stay positive.

As far as telling people, we told our parents and a few select friends. The way I look at it is that I have nothing to be ashamed of and why not tap into all the wonderful support I have. I am very blessed in that I have a wonderful family and wonderful friends. Aren't these the kind of times we are suppose to lean on family and friends? That said, I have only told those that I am comfortable with knowing. There are other friends I have not told for a whole host of reasons. So (1) only tell if you're comfortable sharing the info; and (2) only share it with those you are comfortable with having that knowledge. If it feels wrong, don't tell.

Hommy - Congratulations!!! I am so happy to hear that you are continuing wtih IVF!!!

Emfossum - I used Gonal F too. It had a slight burn when injected but that was it. I didn't get any headaches with Lupron but I've heard other women on here mention such.

tortillachip and anj - congratulations on transferring 4 embies!!!! They sound fantastic and are nestling inside as we speak. Lots of sticky baby dust to you!!

babyloves - I feel you in this 2ww. I CAN'T WAIT until our beta test on Friday! I know it is not that far away but the closer we get to the test date, the more anxious we get. I'm feeling very good. The swelling in my ab area has gone down. I still feel bloated but I think that's from the progesterone. I just keep telling myself, it's just the beginning to what I'm going to feel over the next 37 weeks b/c I'm PUPO (and plan on staying that way after Friday)!!! :D :D I'm excited at the same time and just keeping a PMA. Moments of fear come and go but I know that's normal. I'm just going to try to keep my mind busy with other things this week while at the same time relaxing and getting rest for my embies. I named them to my DH the other day (Embie, Embrianna, and Embert) - just to keep things thinking postively! Hang in there. We're almost there!! The PIO shots are going pretty well. I'm a little sore on the hips but nothing to write home about. I have not starting icing yet but I'm sure at some point I probably will. If the pain lingers, a heating pad and light massage from DH is in order 8) At times I have felt twinges in my stomach area and have had small cramps come and go. I try not to read too much into them b/c we just don't know. I just try to think the embies are snuggling in really hard into my uterus lining and letting me know so I take it easy. I like thinking this rather than it might just be gas :o :o
