HI there,

Just thought I'd check in from bed to see how everyone is doing. Boy, bedrest can really be tiring! I slept yesterday after ET for several hours and then the entire night. You would think that I was in hibernation!

Hommy: you said that the ER process is painful, do they not put you under anesthesia for this? My clinic uses a deep sedation form of anesthesia, so I didn't feel a thing. I can't imagine going through this without it! Good Luck!

Elizabeth: I bet you can't wait for the b/w and u/s. I always looked forward to those appts b/c it made me feel like I was making tons of progress. I'm happy you aren't too emotional or having HA's. I didn't have either the first cycle and this cycle, I felt only a bit more emotional. I hope you are making great follies!

JHarris and Slm: Yes, my clinic, SG uses three types of scales. The best blast is graded a 1. And, it goes up to a 5. Then there is the first alphabet scale A, B, C, D, etc and the second alphabet scale. So a perfect blast in their eyes is graded 1AA. I had one of these last cycle. It would be great if all clinics standardized their grading practices so that we could all gather more info!

Kim: my fingers, toes and limbs are all crossed that your ET goes off today without any hitches!! Let us know how you do! We are thinking of you and wishing for only the best!!

Nickyb73, RN2005, dcdiva, Kim14, antoak, elisabethski, stm, Venus, babyloves and Jharris: What are you all going to do to pass the 2ww? Anybody have some fun stuff planned??

All great updates ladies! Stick embies stick!!!!!

Hommy - good luck with ER - keep in mind it's all worth it!!

Emfossum - grow follies grow!!!

Jharris - I hear you with the PIO shots. I'm starting to seriously consider icing the area. I haven't yet. My DH is much much better at giving the shot this round than last time. Last time he would insert the needle really slow - which hurt like heck. Now, he just jabs it in. Some nights I barely feel it go in. I'm starting to get a little bruising now. Last night, it didn't hurt much but I bled a bit which is the first time this cycle (I bled every time last cycle when he pulled the needle out). DH was so upset b/c he had been doing so well this time with no bleeding. It was only a little bit so I told him not to worry about it. He's such a great guy :)

I'm hanging in there with this 2ww - barely  I am definitely counting down the days - 3 more days!!!!! Fingers and toes are fully crossed. How are the rest of you ladies in the 2ww doing?[/b]

Good afternoon! Looks like a busy day already!

emfossum: Glad to hear you are feeling good. This board has been wonderful for me, too, so I know what you mean! It is so good to talk about this with others who understand!

hommy: I can't wait to hear about your ER tomorrow! Then you will soon join the 2ww!

elisabethski: Besrest was draining!! All I did was sleep to try and get through it quicker! And wouldn't it be nice if the clinics we all the same on grading the embies?! I am trying to keep myself busy during the 2ww. My DH's 30th birthday is Friday, so I am taking him out to dinner, then I have a baby shower Sat for my brother and SIL. Then we are throwing a party for DH Sat evening. So I'm just trying to keep my mind off the 2ww!!

venus: My DH is great at giving the shot. He's diabetic, and used to shots! He has done agood job, I think it just eases my mind more than anything to ice it first. I probably don't even need it, but its a mental thing! I can't believe you only have 3 days left!! Are you going to POAS??

How is everyone else hanging in there? Gone crazy from the wait yet?! I am doing okay with mine. I heard from the embryologist, and one of our embies made it to freeze! But he also sounded very confident when he said that I should already be pregant with the beautiful embies we put back, and they should have implanted yesterday or today. And he's the expert, so I'm happy! :D I guess we will see next Friday!

Great news jharris and emfossum, thank for the reply.

I had ER yesterday but was to sore to post, I just laid in bed.
The tylenol they gave did not work and they had to give me something
else through the iv.

I should be getting my fert report this afternoon sometime and will let
you ladies know what's what. Good Luck.

Oh and my pain has subsided considerably :)

still waiting

Post by antoak »

hello girls
emfossum-the capsules aren't that bad...the slight irritation is much better than the dead legs I had after three days of the progesterone shots :)
kim14, slm - welcome to waiting. i'm not gonna lie, this is still very stressful for me. I think it's so much worse since i'm off from work now...i'm almost envious of those who have the distraction
ndgo-update us on your fert call...hoping you get lots of hopefuls
hommy-your waiting will be over soon...let us know how the procedure goes.
venus and babyloves-friday will be here soon....lets get this board rolling :)

I'm so jealous about all you girls who got pics of your embies...i wonder if my clinic has them. I'll have to check.
As for me, I just keep reading, playing Scrabble, spending money and waiting until next wednesday. I seriously need to get my mind off of this.

Hey ladies, I just got my fert report. My electric went out in
my neiborhood so I had to get the report from the machine, so
here it goes:

16 eggs fertilized,
1 got fragmented :roll: {they probablly accidently poked it and said fragmented}

more than one sperm got into one egg so they threw that out,
2 did not fertilize,
2 disentegrated

so we have 10 that's good and hopefully they all grow normally.
We'll have to see. The re will call me tomorrow and let me know.
So my fingers are tightly crossed :D
Et will be thursday or friday. I hope I get a 4 or 5 day embies.
They only transfer 2 but I'ma beg for 3.

Hello ndgo82
It seems you and me had same ER date let's be positive and think it will bring us luck. I had 14 Fertilized and am so happy. This is my frist IVF. ET will be Thursday and I think I will have 3 or 4. However I feel more comfortable with 3. My RE told me if we will transfer 4 we need to consider reduction incase all 4 get to be babies which I think not gonna be a case. I feel very bloated and my belly looks bigger do u have same symthoms?

Hi gals,
The 2ww is gruesome! I think I'm just having an emotional day for some reason. I have managed to stay positive through the first week but today I'm sad for no real reason and am scared I'm pms-ing. Please tell me I'm crazy! I'm trying to keep myself busy...worked today and saw a few clients then I went to the mall for awhile and of course spent way too much money-doesn't that always happen? Hope you are all well :)

Hi ladies! Glad everyone is doing well...just struggling through the 2ww! Just had my ET this morning and I am feeling good! Slept most of the day though so I think that helped! I still feel like I am recovering from ER for some reason....the sight of gatorade makes me sick! They told me that is all I can drink since apparently I was overstimulated. They transferred 2 "beauties" and we test in 9 days. DH and I are going to the coast (live in ca) next week for a family vacation for the whole week, so that will really help pass the time. We have to find a lab in the area to get our Beta drawn there so we will find out during the vacay...hopefully a BFP!!! I have been debating on wether or not to tell the whole fam since we will all be together (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins....the whle gang) if it is good news. I think it will be really early to say anything, but lets face it, it is going to be hard not to!

I thought of you all today after ET....wanted to pass on the FUNNIEST book ever for everyone to help pass the 2ww. If you haven't already, go get "belly laughs" by Jenny McCarthy. Absolutely hysterical... I was cracking up through the whole thing. it is an easy read (I think I finished it in 2 hours) about her pregnancy. It is a must! Let me know what you all think! Hang in there ladies!

Morning Ladies, I hope everyone is have a wonderful day. I am so frustrated with this 2ww!!! Every little pain I'm wondering which way my outcome will be. Being home during the summer has its advantages but not for the 2ww. :? Hopefully i can do some projects around the house to keep my mind off of things. I'll check in later....

This two week wait is killing me and it has only been 2 days since my transfer and I don't know how I am going to make it until next friday when I have my beta. I have been very emotional today (cannot stop  )and like tortillachip am afraid I am pms-ing and like anj also wonder about every little pain or ache.

I only took the day off of the transfer and have been back to work the last two days. However, work really is not helping to take my mind off the 2WW. Hope the rest of you are coping better than I am.

Nicky
