September/October group

I thought I should start a thread, for those of us who intend to try again, in september or october. let us share our thoughts on this thread.

One thing I was told after my failed implantation, is that low progesterone levels, is usually the cause.

I think we should look at foods that promote this, and hope for the best.

Contributions from all will help us all sail through the next trial.

Hi Mally. I will be doing a FET in Sept/Oct. I am considering trying accupuncture since I've heard such good things about it increasing the chances of IVF working. I am interested if there is any foods that help progesterone levels...interesting!

Hi all! I wanted to jump in! I will begin IVF# 2 in September. As it stands now I am waiting for AF to come so I can begin BCPs. Iam very excited this time around because my doc is changing my protocol a little bit. I would love to meet some cycle buddies!!

Annie973~ I heard great things about acupuncture as well and I just started it myself. So far I have had 2 sessions and the immediate effect that I notice is I sleep soooo much better now. I fall asleep faster and I sleep peacefully.

Baby dust to all!

Cycle buddies

Hi Ladies,

I am planning to try IVF/ICSI again in Sept./Oct. I had my first round in June and got my BFP and then I developed a blood clot and that was the end of our fairy tale...I had a D&C last week. I am scared to death to try again. I am so happy to have you all to share this journey with!

Best Wishes,

Erin

I will be right there with you girls starting the BCP in August and prob injectables in September. I know DH is going to be "thrilled" as the BCP make me a little crazy! I am doing a FET tho so there will be less needles this time around.

Erin - I just had a m/c too so I understand the being scared to try again. I'd much rather a BFN then go through that loss again....

Annie973~I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Even though I never miscarried I can imagine the pain! BUT..September is supposedly the month where the most babies are conceived. (I read that somewhere) So I am praying that we all get our BFPs!!

protocol

Post by ekburke »

Hello!

I am unsure of what my protocol will be like as I am currently waiting for AF. They said 3-5 weeks last week so we shall see. I know that my RE is upping my doses so I have a reserve of embryos to freeze. Last time I took Lupron, Menopur, Follistum and PIO. Hell it worked so I imagine I will get the same meds jsut slightly different doses!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Praying for all of you on this wild and crazy journey!

ekburke~ Hi! Glad to have you. It's been pretty quiet on this board, but I do check in everyday to see how you ladies are doing.

AFM~Another day of waiting for AF... Anyway, I had acupuncture today, and it was awesome. I actually fell asleep this time. It was very peaceful. I hope everyone is doing ok!!!

Question

Post by ekburke »

Hi Ladies,

I just had my first round of bloodwork since my M/C and D&C. I am at 140 which I thought was pretty good being that I was 7 weeks at the time of the loss. The RE said that I was probably in the tens of thousands. Does anyone know if this number is good for 1 week post D&C? I am anxious to get things back to square one so Dh and I can make decisions regarding the future attemps.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Girls ~

Was just lurking on your thread and thought I would jump in and say good luck! I also did acupuncture and it must have done something good as it was my first IVF attempt and I am now preggers with twins!

Hang in there, girls, the impatience, anxiety, and excitement can get the best of you, but just remember to relax and not think too much "ahead of the game" and concentrate on the current moment. Sending lots of positive vibes and baby dust your way!

Take care,
Jen

:D Hi Jen and all,

Thanks for your wonderful contribution, it makes us all feel that we are not alone.

I will keep you all posted with anything useful that might help us all.

I have heard Acupuncture is good, i intend to try it myself, but the question is how long can one do this, i.e can we continue till ET on the next trial? A response will be very much appreicaited.

Hi all I am crashing your thread a moment

Mally you can do the AP forever. Just make sure you have someone who does it for fertility/IVF. The most important time is right before and after ET. I did it right before and after ET and 3 days later then stopped and continued 2 weeks after my BFN. But many women continue during pregnancy. Good Luck
