Levels have gone down

Post by gem »

Hi Guys
Well as we expected my levels had gone down to 5 so its a def negative,we are ok we did expect this it would have been a miracle if it had been positive.
We have a review appointment next thursday to discuss what happened and discuss when we want to start again, which is March we are having this month off and are going to start again for the 4TH TIME!!!!!!! in march hopefully if I carry on with acupuncture and the chinese med my body might be ready to let a embryo stick around.
I have had my 1st lager and bath and they were lovely and once I've stopped bleeding I cant wait for a bit of cuddles of dh if you get my drift?!!!!
I'm going to try and not drink during the week so I'l be fresh in March but I will have a few on a weekend.
Thanks for all your support over the last few days in fact since I've joined this site it has been a life saver and I couldnt go through ivf without you guys.
SO THANKS AGAIN
Love Gemxxxxxx

Hi Gem

So sorry you didnt get your miracle . At least it isnt long to wait til your review. Im sure next time will be your turn. If this doesnt work for me(still sure af on its way) then I too will have a month off and start a fresh cycle in March. It will be my 4th time too(3rd full cycle) so we can keep each other company again!
You just have to keep going with this IVF thing I feel, it DOES work(this site proves that) it just takes longer with some than others.
Enjoy your bath, drink and cuddles!

Take Care

Hi Gem

Sorry to read your post.
It's really good that your being positive and planning when you'll go again.
If this cycle fails I will hopefully try again in March/April depending on finances as this is our one and only free go so may be your buddy again.
Look after yourself and dh and enjoy lots of cuddles......!
Love Dawn

Hi Gem,

I really am so sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you this time. It's good that you are managing to stay positive and focussing on preparing for your next cycle. Looks like I will be starting again in March/April so hopefully we can be buddies again.

In the meantime enjoy your cuddles, baths and weekend drinks.

Take care

Love and hugs

Hi Gem

I am really sorry that there wasn't better news for you but you seem a lot more up beat which is good. I really hope your 4th go in March is the success you deserve. Take the positives from the last outcome that the embies did try to stick around and hold on to that and I am sure you will find your dreams will come true one day.

Good luck and take care

HI Gem

I'm sorry. I'm v.impressed with your positive attitude and you must hold on to that for your next go. Remember you got further this time than ever before, so hopefully next time they will hang on harder!

Another thing that might help you, is the statistics show that it takes on average 4-5 IVF attempts for us to get pg. So you are not above average in your goes (even though it might feel like it sometimes!). Also for every person like you who has to suffer the disappointment of failed tmts there are the lucky b*st*rds that strike it lucky first time or second time (in my case) and in order to maintain the averages, it means others have to go through more hell!

Next time has to be your turn girl. Hang on to the positive thoughts - enjoy your beers and 'cuddles'.........cos from March with any luck you'll be having neither of these for a bloody long time!!!

Lots of love

hi
so sorry to hear your new's. It must be so hard to get that far and have it taken away like that.

hope you do not mind me saying but when I did my first tmt I had a good responce to the drugs and got 13 good embryos but I got a negative. Well I could not wait to get started again and started tmt the following month. I really found it hard taking all those drugs again and really felt low. I went for a scan and only had 6 eggs that where really small they up my drugs but they did not grow much bigger so I stopped tmt and had the injection th release them and that was a busy weekend for me and dh, if you know what I mean...

well I then waited three monthe to get my body together having a failed tmt is really bad. This time I got 14 good embros and I have always had a couple of months of after tmt.

I do think the clinic do not give you chance to get over a failed tmt, perhaps i'm wrong but they are not going to turn away thousands of pounds..of course i'm no doctor i'm just going from past experience.
I knoe you are a old hand at this aswell, so perhaps I should keep my mouth shut. I wish someone had warned me...

Well I wish you lots of luck with your tmt,

from july ann

Hi Gem
I'm so sorry that it didn't work out this time. Your time will come, all of ours will and we must NEVER give up home. You sound pretty positive from your post, which is great, and I'm sure that the acupuncture and Herbs will really help.
March is only a few weeks away and you'll be on the go again.
Love, Miche xxx
Our darling son Jake was born in October 2004 on our 3rd IVF attempt. I have PCOS. We're now trying again naturally, before embarking on our next FET IVF possibly late 2005... so watch this space!!!
