Ghost, a question

Post by allie17 »

I had my third beta test today 13dp5dt and it was 158. They want me to come in on Friday for a scan and more bloodwork. Can you tell by this scan if it is an eptopic pregnancy? Is this common to do a scan so early

158 is a tad on the low side for this point.

That ultrasound is a little earlier than what most clinics do. I suspect you are correct, that they are watching out for an ectopic. The pregnancy may well be fine, but your clinic is doing the right thing to watch out for you.

I agree with ghost. They are just being cautious as I know you would want them to. But did I read that you are 13dp5dt which means you are only 18 days post retrieval? So, by my calculations and by the way my facility does beta checks you are still okay. Because we test 14 days post retrieval and test every two days so if you were my patient the 158 would have been your 2nd beta and your first would've been around 79. If i am mistaken about your dates please let me know, but if this is correct...I wouldn't stress yet. Keep me posted.

I had a 5 day transfer on 7/15/08 and my bloodwork on 7/28/08 was 158 then on 8/1/08 it was 1429 and I had a sonogram and they saw the sac.

Are these numbers not rising correctly???

It's rising beautifully! That's a very good sign.
