Hi Ladies,

Nims, hope you don't have too long left to wait now, i was fully engaged for over a week and still nothing happened, hope you don't suffer that as every time i stood up i had to pee!! good luck.

Su, glad oliver is good and your enjoying motherhhood, its fantastic.

rachel, nice to hear from you, sorry Ruby was sick my boys have a little cold and its so sad to see them suffering, although i have to say big boogers for small people!

Steph, hope your taking it easy, as it gets really tough once you hit the 30 week mark. take care and stop working if its too much.

Miracle, thanks for the well wishes, doing really well, feel 200% better than i di, just getting frustrated that i am not allowed to do anything, suupposed not to lift or carry anything for 12 weeks think i will go insane, i have to have someone with me at all times to help with the babies, not even allowed to lift a kettle.

As for me feeling a lot stronger and more like myself, been for a couple of walks with the boys, DH pushes the stroller. the boys are doing great, Zac now weighs 7lb9oz, and Oliver weighs 8lb8oz, so piling the weight on, they are so good they feed every 4 hours. well got to go as they are waking for their next feed.
catch you all soon

Hi Beachbaby, glad you're on the road to recovery - the boys sound like they are growing really well too! It must be difficult needing all the help you need but time will go quickly especially with the twins.

Unfort I'm not fully engaged yet and my cervix is tightly shut - like a little clam!! So they couldn't do anything today but they hope that nature will take place at some point this week - failing that I'm booked to be induced next Tuesday evening..... so a little fed up as so desperately want to meet my little one - we've waited and been through so much to get here so I'm sure another week won't harm.......

Stephjim - hope all is ok with you - haven't heard from you in a while.

Hi Ladies -

Jayne, glad to hear the boys are doing well and mom is getting back to normal!! YAY!

Su, how's little Oliver doing? I'm sure you're having as much fun as Jayne is!!!

Nims - you poor thing, I see you are past due now and I'm sure ready for your little one to make his/her debut!!! I'm hoping that you're gonna kick in naturally and not have to wait until Tuesday!!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Shantala & Rachel - I guess you guys are already pros at this whole thing! I hope things are settling down for you both and you are able to enjoy your little girls!! :)

Steph - how's it going with the twins? Hope all is well.

As for me, things are still looking good. Been off line a lot with working extra hours for a girl who is on maternity leave (she gets to fill in for me when I'm out!) and then trying to get the house ready.... we're switching rooms around with my DSSs ... the 16 (almost 17) yo is going to the basement room and the baby's nursery will be his room. My DH wasn't too thrilled... not for fear, he's a good kid and he'll be fine down there, but just that he didn't want him to feel "banished" - he doesn't! He's thrilled about having his own space away from all 3 of his brothers! -especially since he likes to sleep in and isn't interested in hearing the little one cry at night!

Also getting ready for the whole fam to come for a Thanksgiving visit... hoping our little guy decides to show up early to greet them... He's due Dec 3, so we're hoping he comes when they are all here. I may have a house FULL - i'm expecting around 20 people!!! (AAAIIGGGHHH)) As if getting a nursery ready wasn't enough waddling around preggo! But, things are moving along smoothly and I'm hoping my parents and sister will come up early to help me out.

We decided on nursery decor. It was a tough decision - I was looking at a more modern style or something bright and cheery. Not to knock it, but I'm not really a pastel kind of girl. My DH didn't like the modern look - thought it was more "me" than the baby... well, I gotta give it to him, I would have picked it for myself! So, we went bright/cheery route... but I couldn't find anything that struck me so my mom and I are making our own bedding and curtains, etc. I've always been a Dr. Seuss fan and if I chose a "character or themed" room, it would have to be that... so I've spent the last week searching for fabrics... amazingly difficult task... but I found a bunch on ebay - ridiculously expensive!!! But we're making it work.

Anyway, enough about me! I've rambled on forever.

Hope you all are well. Miss you guys!

hey hope, so great to hear from you - wow 23wks already - at this rate you will be catching me up!!!

Lets hope you're little is a better behaved than mine and will come in time for thanksgiving for you.

Nurserys are so difficult to do especially if you don't know the sex - hats off to you for doing your own bedding and curtains - think we have finally finished ours this w/end - ours is very neutral and hopefully the scheme will last a few years - its not too baby'ish and doesn't swing to either sex either. I will get round to doing some piccies soon!!

Take care hun

Hi Nims, I see you're still waiting. I really feel for you and can't imagine still being pregnant. It feels like Oliver has always been here.

It sounds like everyone else is still way ahead of me on the nursery though. As he came early I just haven't had time to get it finished. Its a good thing he's sleeping in my room at the moment but the way he's growing he'll be too big for the moses basket pretty soon.

Jayne, How are you getting on? Hope you are recovering well and the boys are doing well.

I had a shock on Sunday morning when part of my wound burst. You don't want to hear the gory details but it was like something out of a horror movie. I ended up being readmitted and put on intravenous antibiotics for 24 hours and have just come home today. Fortunately I was able to have Oliver in hospital with me. I really hope it starts to heal now, I'm tired of hurting and not being able to do normal things :( But he's worth it.

Got to go, Oliver needs a feed

ouch Su, that sounds painful - hope they have fixed you up - wish I could help with the nursery but i would be as much help as a chocolate tea pot (as the saying goes) at the moment!!

Hope you're taking it easy and you have loads of friends and family running around after you.

Rachel - meant to ask - did you end up with a C section after all those days of being induced?

Jayne - obviously the boys have you very busy - hope the recovery is still going well.

Spoke to the midwife earlier - have some concerns about having the induction mostly that it can be a lot more painful and as Rachel said, doesn't always work the first time - so wondered if it was worth them having another go at a sweep or internal just to sus out what my cervix is doing nowadays! She said she was happy to pop round in the morning but may be relunctant to do much if it was starting to ripen as they would do another internal when i would be admitted and therefore could end up being sore before I started labour!!

But the dilemma would be that if the cervix was still shut closed - would it be worth the induction - could it take time but if it had started to open then would it be worth waiting to see if nature took it course - after all I'm only 7 days past due date and the consultants didn't give us any real reason for not allowing me to go past my due date by more than a week so technically still have a week to go................... but then again, atleast we have some light at the end of the tunnel and I'm getting impatient!!

Wish there was a right answer but don't think there is - it is our decision ...... ho hum

Will wait and c what tomorrow brings!

Hi ladies
Su sorry to hear about your wound hope it heals quick now amd you will be feeling better soon

Hope how the time is flying by your baby will soon be here glad you decided on your nursery

Jayne how are you and the boys

Nims yes i did have a c section but was offered to wait 24 hrs and then start over with being induced again but by that time i was so tired and had had enough so i asked for a section and the dr agreed that i was getting my self worked up and it was no good for the baby amd after all they was not sure they i would be able to deliver her any way my midwife said from the start that i would have a section and she was right hope things go quick for you cause the lady in the next bed to me was induced about 4hrs latet than me and she went into labour that night and had her twins in a couple of hrs so it does work i was just 1 of the unlikey ones good luck cant wait to hear your news take care

lots of love Rachel x x

Hi ladies,

Nims, good luck with the induction, did not work for me, but did for the lady in the next bed to me, she had 2 pessaries, but i stayed clamped shut. I had 3 pessaries over 2 days they would not let me go longer due to it being twins.

Su, ow, hope your wound heals okay, sounds like you've been doing more than you should, i know it's hard but it needs time to heal!! I am constantly being told off by everyone for doing things i'm not supposed to do. i'm not even supposed to lift a kettle!!

Hope, wow you are cooking along nicely there, baby will be here before you know it, enjoy your pregnancy and good luck with the nursery.

steph, hope your taking it easier now, regarding your question, i wanted to try naturally (vaginal) but i never dilated so i ended up with a c-section aftewr 2 days of induction. It was completely fine, i never even felt them tugging and pulling to get the babies out, it was over very quickly.

As for me, doing okay, getting frustrated at not being allowed to do things as i feel fine, still get tired quicker than normal but 200% better than i was. I am smaller and weigh less than i did before i got pregnant, still have a slight tummy/swelling but looking good. Both boys doing great piled on the weight agagin this week.
Oh oh got to go, babies waking up and its nearly bath time.
Catch you all later
Take care
