when is the eariest to see a sac and or HB in an u/s?

had my first u/s today. Doc says " I think that may be a sac right there". Then told me to come in for a second u/s in a week. Just curious as to when you first saw a sac/HB. Thanks

alreadyblessed - DH and I saw the sac and HB at 6 weeks 3 days, but the RE let us know ahead of time that chances were we may not see the HB that early. How far along are you?

I am 5 weeks along today. I just received my second beta (18dpt) and it is 2455. I was on bated breath waiting for the second beta, and now I'm anxious for the u/s. I guess the worrying never really ends. If all goes well I will have an EDD 4-7-09.

alreadyblessed - Congratulations, that's a great beta. I read on one of these threads that the HB cannot be seen until HCG is at least 10,000. Not sure if this is true, but 5 weeks is definitely early for the HB. You're correct though, the worrying absolutely never ends We're a little over 9 weeks and we hold our breath between each u/s. We have another one this Thursday and then our next will be at 12 weeks, which I think will help us feel much, much better. Good luck to you!!

I've read that you should be able to see the sac when you HCG gets 2000 and I think the yolk at 4000? I really dont remember, but I think it was on the American Pregnancy Assoc website.

Also, alot see the HB around 6 weeks, but they tell you be prepared not to see it until at least 6w5d.
