hi all.
i'm not new to the forums but new to this particular thread.
my 1st u/s was this morning- EDD: 3/25/2009

it's a singleton and we are sooooo excited, i still do not believe it actually happened!

I've been having a lot of mixed symptoms these past weeks. i had no nausea( or any other symptom for that matter) in the 1st few weeks but since week 5, i've had cravings one day and aversions the other! and i'm quite nauseous at times but do not actually throw up- which is good. the journey has only just begun.....

I'm v happy and excited for all of us March mommies to be!!

Welcome maybebaybe! Congrats on hearing the HB, bet that was sooo nice! Just curious as to how many u had transferred and what day? Are u now at week 6? I've heard that u can't hear the HB at wk 6 sometimes...i'm not sure.

Alreadyblessed: that's a super beta...it really shot up even tho it wasn't 2 days..maybe 2 or so in there? :D Do u have to go in again or did they give u an ultrasound date?

Sonu: about the constipation...are u getting enough water...they say 4-5 glasses a day ( i know i never average that much). Thanks for the tea advice..for now, i'm just going to lay off any caffeine as its early. I think of all the little limb buds forming and it makes me soo happy - can't jeopardize that for my cup of tea!

Amazu: i think i'll eat some fish eventually...i was just worried about the mercury content...i'm not taking any fish oil, but know some pg women that do...i go in for a 3rd beta tomm..hope its still good and i get my u/s date...probably will be around ur U/ i think.

Ok ladies...to all i've missed...hope ur doing well. Have a good nite!

P.S. does anyone know of any good pregancy books - I need one soon!

babyloves- i "saw" the heartbeat, not heard. like a big white flashing thump thump on the u/s monitor. i guess the hearing part will have to wait till much later :)
i'm about 6 wks n 6 days now. i had 2 transferred( and i had only 3 retrieved out of which only 2 fertilized, so it really is a miracle!!) on day 3 after retrieval.
the 2 transferred were 8 cell and 10 cell.

alreadyblessed- congratulations! those are great numbers!

babyloves~ Hi! My doctor seems to do things differently than most. I had my first beta on 7/30, then I didn't have my second beta until 6 days later on Aug 5th. I also had my first u/s on that day. He thought he saw a sac, and he wants me to come back next wed Aug 13th for another beta and u/s. I know what you mean about my beta # I wasn't expecting it to be that high. If it doubled every 2 days it should have been around 1700. It makes me very curious to know if more than one is clinging :D How are you doing?/feeling?

maybebaybe~ congrats on seeing the HB!!!!! How wonderful! I am about a week behind you, so I like to read what you're up to so I know what to expect in the upcoming week or so. Stay well!

Hi Ladies,

Maybebaybe - Welcome to this march mommie group. I am so excited for you that you could see you baby and see the hb. But I think your clinic's machine is not strong as mostly you can hear them if you can see them. I think I had heard them on my first pg at 6 weeks 5 days.

Babyloves - Wow! your nos. surely looks great. I think there is 2 or more in there. Congrats again.

Alreadyblessed- Great nos. I know you must be very happy now. I am happy for you but I am feeling jealous too. Most of you ladies have seen your sac and know for certain that everything is ok but I have to wait for so long. Still there is more than a week. Sometimes I get worried that whether everything is ok . I am still in the mystery whether there is singleton or twins. Like some of the ladies I don't have m/s , so get weird thoughts of my pg. Really bored with this waiting game and don't know what to do.

How about you ladies? I hope everybody is enjoying your pg and having nice time.
Annie

Amazu...don't get down...ur numbers are so amazing...there's probably many in there :D - i hear u about waiting...so much waiting...but hey...i'd rather be in this condition than on BCP again waiting for stims, and the whole works...i'm also in constant fear, and sometimes read too many posts about ladies miscarrying and not hearing heartbeats at 6 mos...how tragic...anyway...i'm supposed to be trying to cheer u up, but instead...i'm blabbling away.

Just keep on smiling and enjoying ur pregnancy...treat yourself to some lunch out (i just did) :D Also went to get my eyebrows done...now awaiting the beta call.

wow Amazu! you could hear the HB at 6 weeks?!! that must have been cool.
in my case, they did not use a doppler, only a regular transvaginal U/S, so i really do not think they trying to hear it, only look at it.
from what i've read in my countless internet searches, most people do not hear it until about 10-12 weeks, but i guess it's different for all people!!

Take care, all of you

hi AMAZU! First off, what is m/s? LOL! Sorry I'm still trying to catch up to the abbreviation thing. I know what you mean about the waiting game. That is truly the worst part. The 2ww is probably the most difficult, then it's that 2nd beta (will it rise....won't it)...then the sac/heartbeat. It can make you crazy. I know I've posted before about trying to keep my mind off everything. I wound up buying a puppy, and I think I have rented every movie blockbuster has to offer. I have tried to fill my days and nights with endless things to do so that they pass by quickly. It will be here before you know it, and with your betas, I can't wait to hear the AWESOME news!!! :D

babyloves~ I know what you mean about the sad posts. Sometimes I wonder if I'm better off not logging on to the site because my heart sinks when I hear these women. It is then in the back of your mind that this whole process from beginning to the very end is indeed a miracle. I rely on Gods will, and lots of prayers and positive thinking.

We all got this far ladies......a lot of others may never get to this point, so we need to stay positive and support eachother. Each day is a day closer to delivery!!! :D

Hi Ladies,
Thanx for the nice encouraging mail. I was little depressed yesterday. I had been thinking too much with how some our board ladies might be feeling after knowing they are pg and then suddenly something happens. I was so sad with Amy's post that I just cried for her. It is true that this is a miracle and we should cherish it but in the bottom of the heart I also have a fear that this time there shouldn't be anything wrong like last time. I don't know whether I have courage to go through that again.
Anyways enough of depressing talk. I will try to cheerfull from now on. I have started to get some m/s ( morning sickness) from yesterday and also I can't tolerate the smell of onion :? Now I have an excuse of not cooking to my dh. What abt you ladies? What are your plans for this weekend? I will be having friends for dinner on friday and then some old friend is coming with her family to stay with us through the weekend. So I am going to be very busy. But dh and myself are not sure whether we should share the good news with them as we had decided to tell everybody except our close family only after we cross the 3 month deadline. But I can't go out and walk so much with them when they will be visiting us. What do you think? What should I do?
I think we should keep this board more busy as I find other ladies in other board more active than us. I know I am the lazy one. But I will try to post more . :)

Hi Annie!
So the m/s has hit you. And it sounds like the food aversions too! I never had m/s with any of my pregnancies, but the smell of cheese, or hot buttor on a frying pan would send me running for the hills!!
I have a busy weekend too. Saturday we are having a block party and so that will be a lot of work, and Friday night I have a pampered chef party at my friends house. Sunday will be clean up from Sat~ fun :?
As far as your friends go, I think that if you are not ready to tell them, don't feel pressured just because they are staying with you. If you won't be able to do the things you normally do, you can just tell them that your stomache has been upset for the past few days, and you just want to take it easy.
I have been surrounded by so much negative energy, that I'm almost sorry I told people. I have some of my older friends saying " You're crazy. You're going to start all over again? Well good luck" . How do you respond to ignorance like that? I just feel that because I have 2 children already, that everyones attitude is like oh ok another one whatever. It's so annoying. I've been avoiding phone calls as a result, and picking up as much work as I can to keep myself busy. Pretty sad huh.

Anway ladies, I hope you are all feeling well!

Amazu - How I identify with you!!! I also felt very bad for Amy, and it definitely reminded me of my last time. God will surely give her the courage to fight as HE gave us during our hard times and brought us here. She is soon going to follow us.
But no negative thoughts, dear. I know how hard it is to avoid sometimes!!
We should be thankful to God for the little miracles in our wombs and thank Him umpteen times.
Congratulations (and sorry) on getting m/s. take care.
You don't have to do anything to make any excuse. Your m/s will take care of it and some of your acting skills ;) You don't have to tell them anything if you don't want to, they will understand.
sorry if I have given a bad idea... :) But you can jeopardize this at any cost.

Hugs....:)

Hi everyone...yeah, we should post more as we only have 3 pages! Well, i'm doing okay but no real symptoms, had a little nausea last week, but none now. I was kinda down yesterday when i got my 3rd beta of 3071..it wasn't quite double. My RN said that anything greater than 2/3 is fine and my u/s is next week on friday. After lots of internet research and speaking to my pg friend and Ghost, i felt better. Apparently double is just a rough estimate...but i feel maybe there's only one in there....i just want a healthy baby - just like all of us. Praying for God to help make ur dream come true!!! :D :D
Amazu: sounds like you have some nice weekend plans..i'm sure you can walk with them...i think that's one of the few exercises we can do...i walked 2 miles yesterday and it felt good. i'm also going away to my parents...they know and so does my sis, nephew and his wife...didn't want to tell them, but my sis spilled the beans...i'm telling the rest of the family and in-laws if i make it to 3-4 mos...alreadyblessed: its nice u have a puppy...i wanted one too, but DH does not any dog but a german shephard and we live in a townhouse with no yard...what kind do u have? BTW, i liked ur statement about God's will and prayers...i totally agree.
maybe: how are you doing...when u do go back for the next u/s?
sonu: how are you doing/feeling? Still getting m/s?
trysj: haven't read from you in a while..how are u doing?

okay then, talk to you all later. Enjoy ur weekends!

ALREADY BLESSED - The people who are saying this probably have no idea what have you gone through to reach here. These are that lot of people who get pregnant with a blink of an eye. Just avoid them as much as possible. Nobody more than you and your DH know the real value of this little miracle.
Talk and share as much as you can here, no one will judge you here. we only have positive energy here. :)

Hugs....:)
