Every now and then after my DH gives me my progesterone shot, I see some droplets of blood in the residule progesterone that is left at the base of the needle. He is certain that when he aspirates there is no blood before he gives the injection, so I am confused as to how these droplets get into the syringe. I just want to be certain that it is going into the muscle. Can u help?

If there is no blood when aspirating before injecting, the blood that u see must be from a tiny vessel like a venule in the subcutaneous tissue and definitely not from any deep main blood vessel in the muscular plane . As one draws the needle out, the needle may scrap through small vessels present below the skin. Moreover, the butt subcutaneous tissue is quite vascular. Thats why u may see some blood droplets in the needle base or at the puncture site after drawing the needle out. Hope it helped. Dont worry.
Ur pregnancy is going very fine and ur corpus luteum( in the ovary ) is producing enough progesterone and the shots ur are taking is supplemental. Best wishes.
I'd love to help, but this is not something I can answer. I mainly read/write papers on IVF, I don't deal with patients and injection instructions. Probably a good thing, too.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
