I'm only following this and the FET August thread since my ET was in early August.
Elizabeth - I'll probably break down and POAS on Friday before we leave to camp this weekend. You asked before - we usually take 285 out towards Jefferson, there's some lovely campsites around there.
My clinic uses PIO for fresh transfers. I had the option of using suppositories for this FET but my nurse said they are much more expensive and messy so I stuck with PIO. I do get sore from the shots in the bum but it's still manageable.

Graham and Audrey born 9/5/12. 37w4d, no NICU time!
Just woke up from my long post-ER drug induced nap
Had a very good ER. They got 18 eggs. Right about now they should be injecting all the mature ones (not sure how many of the 18 are mature) with sperm since we are doing ICSI.
Little bit of cramping but really nothing major to report.
They are shooting for a 5day transfer but of course that depends on how they grow.
Biddie - My right ovary was lame also only a couple follicles on that one. There were 4 total but on my final ultrasound only 2 were mature. But my left one by the final ultrasound had 13 follicles.
TrueBeliever -- Good luck on the ET tomorrow!!
emfossum -- How are those 10 embies doing! I hope they keep diving and growing. I asked my doc about pictures and they said they will give me a picture of the final 2 they put in but not any others.

Good morning ladies. I better tell you a bit about myself - I live in the North Island of New Zealand. I have to pay for IVF myself. Its costing $10,000NZ - our dollar is worth today 72cUS. My clinic is 4 hrs drive from me. I have a blood testing cenre only 1.5 hrs drive, which is not so bad (I am nearly ready to put a sleeping bag in my ute! (sorry-car!). I am a sheep farmer and do all the sheep work myself (this is an excuse for the men in my life to take over! AKA retirement!) We have 8,000 sheep. I have a team of dogs to round the sheep up.
I am on flare protocol
-Birth control pill for one cycle (July)-25 days
-Buserelin 5ml twice a day started 2 days after pill stopped
-Gonal F 300ml once a day until trigger
-E2 1625 on day 5 of stims
-E2 4000 on day 7 of stims
-E2 test today, no results yet
-Ultra sound on day 7 - 10 follies on left, 1 on right
-Trigger tonite (confirmed when they call with todays E2 results)
-ER on Saturday - day after tomorrow (our time zone is different!)
-ET Tuesday.
-I have named the lone follie "Max"
-Yes, I have gone mad!
VALERIE-Thankyou for the wake up call. You are right. I have found my PMA and am grateful, thankful, and hopeful!
ALIMOYNI-wow! 18 eggs! You must have been soooo sore! When is your ER & ET?
ROSARIO- Have you got fert report yet?
TRUEBELIEVER- you will be in ET today, my thoughts are with you.
EMFOSSUM-wow. You are an inspiration. Coming back and getting 10 fertilised. That really gives you options. I look forward to your updates.
KERRUPLES-are you in your 2ww?
All you other ladies, keep us updated. I have nothing better to do at the moment that talk to you all!

hello. Thankyou for that. Did you just transfer 4? How are you? When do you do your first Beta? Was it a hard decision to do 4? That is my next decision.
Any advice on how many to look at transferring team? Considering age? Cheers.
Hi Biddy - Loved your post. I plan to visit New Zealand one day. I have always wanted to go on a hut to hut trip over there. Thanks for sharing your story. I think "Max" might be the one that sticks.
Yeah, we pretty much broke the bank to pay for this IVF. My insurance didn't cover anything. My clinic seems to be on the very high side. My RE drives a very nice car!
I have been thinking and would agree for them to transfer back four. I just pray that I don't end up with quadruplets. I wouldn't mind twins because then I would only have to go through this once. I know all the clinics prefer singletons because of the health risks to mom and babies.
NY4thtry - Hi there, and welcome to this thread. I just love New York. My sis lives in Manhattan and I visit her at least twice a year. What clinic are you going to? Where are you in the IVF process? I am also in your age group.
Well I am only a good nights sleep from getting more info about our little embies. I hope they are doing well in their little dish.
Bidddy- this time (ivf number 4) we had & embryos and my Dr wanted to transfer only 4 one 10 cel one 9 and two 8s. Sadly the other 3 did not make it to freeze. I transferred the same amount on ivf #3 and actualy 5 pgd positive embryos on #2. I really have taken my Drs guidance on this decision and if too many took i knew reduction was an option. i think 4 or 5 is guidance for our age group.
my first beta will be next tuesday the 2ww is the WORST..
Elizabeth,
I am at Cornell CRMI this time but my first two attempts were at NY fertility institute.

OMG - clinic just phoned and they are delaying my trigger to tomorrow night! My E2 level is now 5438! And I am getting worried. I am worried that they just couldnt be bothered going into clinic on Saturday to do my ER... They said its to let follies grow a bit more, but I dont know. I am freeking out. I am starting to get quite sore in the ovary area now... Sad face. (whos got my PMA?????)

Hi Biddy - This wait is brutal, but remember it is better to have mature eggs that too small. It is perfectly fine to ask the clinic for your numbers so you know what they are waiting for. I completely agree with NY4thtry about if they are willing to go in on Sunday then they would have willing for Sat. There is so much to get worked about and our embies need to be in a non stress enviroment. Relax, and take it real slow these next few days. Don't go working to hard on the farm. This is your time...so enjoy as best you can. Thinking of you.
Of the 18 eggs they got at ER, 12 were mature. Of those 12 - 9 fertilized!!
So now waiting for tomorrows report to determine if we go with a 3day transfer or a 5day transfer. I am still rooting for 5day and with 9 eggs hopefully they can make it that long.

Biddy, that extra day can make all the difference. My first ER there were 12/20 mature eggs and we didn't have any embies left over to freeze. For the second cycle I stimmed a day longer, and they got 18/18 mature eggs with 9 frosties!

I finally got my report on my embies. Here is goes
All ten and hanging in there, 7 are high quality, and 3 are still growing.
Of the 10 they considered 7 high quality there is:
1-9 cell 4- (less than 10% frag)
4-8 cell 4- (less than 10% frag)
1-8 cell 3+ (less than 20% frag)
1-7 cell 3+ (less than 20% frag)
Then the other little ones are:
1-7 cell 3 (20%-30% frag)
1-5 cell 4- delayed growth but great quality
1-5 cell 3+ slower but less than 20% frag
We are going for a 5DT, I will pray that they all stay strong for the next couple of days. Saturday is the transfer day.
Alimoyni- Your fert report is excellent!! Isn't it wonderful. I will send all our embies some love. Keep us posted and I hope you get your 5DT...it sure sounds like it.
I havent heard anything from my doctor yet but the lab said everything is fine and i should hear from them soon. Well i am patiently waiting and will let all you guys know as soon as i hear something.
