August FET- very early BFP??

Post by angel of wishes »

Hi everyone! I am brand new to the board but I have been stalking it for quite awhile! My first IVF cycle was a BFN with 1, 5 day blastocyst transferred. We were able to freeze one blastocyst.
We just transferred our last little frozen blast and everything went perfectly. I broke down and poas 4 days after my 5dt. I know I am crazy! But if was a BFP! I have not done any trigger shots or taken any medication other than estrogen and progesterone so I know it's real. The next day I did another test (5dp5dt) and the line was even darker! I did a digital test that night and it was positive as well.
Has anyone else ever gotten a BFP this early? Is there any chance of my having twins with only one blast transferred?
My beta isn't until 8/11 so I am anxiously awaiting my appt.

I did with my fresh cycle a few months ago.
This Frozen cycle I had a baseline ultrasound, began my estrogen, started progesterone 5 days before the transfer and then continued on estrogen, progesterone (crinone), and baby aspirin. I have also been doing accupuncture.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.......I want to be so excited but I am still nervous!

angel , i am extremely happy for you. I am hopeful as i would venture into a FET sooner or later. Was ur frozen little one frozen as a blastocyst and was it transferred the same day of thawing. I have 2 frozen blastocysts and wondering whether all would go fine. U can celebrate. The chance of twins from a single blastocyst is rare, but it does happen, dont know the statistics. I remember our valued contributor, Ghost having answered that question somewhere in this forum. Prayers ur way. remember to take good care of urself.

It's possible to get a positive at that stage, although unlikely. Still, what else could this be? None of the meds you mentioned can cause it (not a chance).

Congratulations!!!

Yes, twins can occur, but are relatively unlikely. They'd have to be monozygotic (identical).

Congrats on your BFP!!! I also did a FET and also got a BFP at 9dpo. I only have one in here - but I had very high HCG levels. We transferred 3 embryos - they were a 4 day morula transfer and only one stuck!

I hope you have a wonderful happy and healthy 9 months!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes!
I know I would have never believed it would have happend so early, but now I am stuck with a bunch of hpt's so I keep taking them every morning and every morning the line gets darker and darker. I am feeling very hopeful.
I am lacking symptoms though? I really don't feel anything other than a few cramps here and there? Is that normal?
Thank you baby or bust! Is 9dpo 4dpt? I never know how to figure these things out! Best wishes on your pg....I see you are having a girl! Congrats!
To godblessus - yes, it was frozen as a blast (our only one) and transferred the same day it was thawed. All went really well. I was sooo nervous about it surviving the thaw since it was our only one, but it is a survivor! Good luck with yours and try not to stress! They will survive and all will be great!
The only reason I asked about twins is because my BFP came so early! I am so happy to just have one that is giving me a BFP! Beta is on Monday so I am praying for a good number.
Thank you all for your reply's and best wishes to everyone!!

Hello again Angel - my first BFP was 5 days past a 4 day morula transfer (9dpo). I was testing like mad. (Yes, I am one of those) and technically I got an uber faint line the evening of 4 days past 4 day transfer (8dpo). I then tested again the next day at the 5dp4dt and again in the afternoon with a digi and got a Pregnant. Since mine was a FET, I also did not have a HCG shot, so I knew it was a true BFP. My draws were in the twins range every time according to the beta base, but I only have one precious baby in here. So... what they say about doubling is what counts is absolutely true. Good luck on your beta Monday!

I didn't have many symptoms either. I think sore BB's and some crampiness, but no nausea. Every pregnancy and every person is different.

Congrats again!

Congrats! Yes, it's def possible to be accurate. Remember implantation occurs between day 6 to day 11 so it's a good sign.
I am an infertility nurse and I work in a major IVF facility. I am willing to answer questions and give guidance, however, since I am not treating you, only your physician can give you the most accurate information.

Perfectly normal. There are typically no symptoms of early pregnancy (I can think of only one, it's rare, impossible in an FET, and you don't want it anyway). There are often some side effects from progesterone.

That's extremely high for a single embryo transfer.

Congratulations again!

Any reason I should be concerned? Or should I just take it as really good news?
Thanks for the reply!
