My day 2 Fert Report:

There are 6 4-cell embryos, 1 3cell and 2 2cell embryos. All embryos are Grade 1 except for a couple at grade 2.
(1 being best)
Looking at 5day transfer on Monday 8/11/08

Has anyone heard anything about DHEA supplementation? Has anyone tried it? Just curious, my grandmother said I should look into it.....

Good evening ladies,

What a day for me!! I had my first injection this morning and DH did a perfect job, no pain, no burning, it was great!
I went on to turn the computer on and NOTHING! I thought...here we go again. I had just replaced the hard drive 2 months ago. Just paid a fortune for the ivf and now another expense. Oh well, what can I do?
So I went to work, with a nice headache that just kept getting worse!
By 1pm, we had major storms in the Miami area. But I guess that helped and allowed me to go buy my first laptop from which I'm writing now.
It's probably a good omen because once I'm pregnant, I can take this anywhere I want.
Anyway, this nasty headache won't go away and I assume it's from the injections.

jharris~ I see from your signature that you got your BFP!!
So, I'm sending a Mary Murphy scream...WOOOOHOOO, you're officially on the hot baby train! Congrats and I'm soooo happy for you. When is your next beta?

Jenolina~ It doesn't sound like you're doing poorly to me! By bringing up your dose, you'll probably start responding more and faster. Don't get discouraged...I know it's hard but I've been there and with far fewer follies than yours. I ended up with 3 at ER!!! And although I had a chemical, I did get pregnant. So keep your PMA going and on your next US, you'll have much better results.

to_have_fun~ Happy birthday!!! Hope you had a good time with DH! Sorry that you did not get pregnant on your own. But your time is coming very soon.

alimoyni~ Great report and wishing you the best for monday and two healthy blasts!!

truebeliever~ Congrats on being PUPO and transferring 2 blasts. By tomorrow or the next day, they should start implanting!
Stay busy and calm, which is easier said than done.

Turtles~ I admire you for doing your own shots but I must say that I'm getting used to it and if I had to do it, I would!

Well, I'm glad to be back online...I hate pc problems and since I like to keep in touch with all of you, I didn't want to be without.
I don't know what to do about this headache as my head feels like it's going to fall off. I took an aspirin but I'm not sure if I can take anything. Do you girls know?

I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow.

hi all. just got home from a week's holidays. some of it was wonderful..and as for other parts- i know what i don't want to do next year

i'm quite tired and will do more personals tomorrow, (such a busy thread!! wonderful), but thought i'd say a few things

congrats rosario and alimoyni - 8/9 eggs is amazing!.

hoping in PA- 14 is a good number!! it just needs to multiply accordingly. but i get the reassuring feelin of a higher beta..just hang in there.

jenolina- my 1st cycle was cancelled on day 5 as my u/s looked like someone who hadn't had ANY fertility meds. so when they changed me to the flare protocal, i still turned out to be a "low responder", but i got PG anyways!! (screw there 'statistically speaking'). we do truly only need 1 good one. i mc at 12 weeks and at this moment, am positive that i can get there again, and you can too.

biddy, amanda, hand in there.. forget about our 'chances', as miracles happen all the time, but only if we take the risks to be available for them.

newtoiufgirl- welcome and this is a great place for support to cope. and the needles are fine, - i was so stressed out when i gave myself my first one, that i passed out afterwards and fell on the floor and hit my head- after that, i figured 'how bad can this be??' LOL. the very slight, brief, prick of a pin is nothing compared to the headache i gave myself that day. insert the needle quickly (hurts less this way), but release the meds/depress plunger slowly. all will be fine.

and here's a note to any other needle shy gals- my 18 yr old neice has been diabetic since age 2, giving her own needles several times a day (at least 3) for about the last 8 years. she thinks i'm a joke when i complain about this. (the needle part anyways). LOL.

Good Morning Ladies... I am only 2dp5dt and I am already feeling all the anxiety. I can not believe time seems as it is keeping still. DH and I plan to go out today but otehr than that i do not have much planned. I am hoping work next week will keep my mind on something else.. Yes I am claiming it, PUPO. My beta is in 8 days on a Sunday and I am SOOOO looking forward to it. Any others out there in the 2WW, does your clinic have you on any meds? I am taking E2 pills twice a day and proj inserts. What are youladies doing to stay busy and tp keep your mind on whats going on inside?

Well as for me, I had my second beta yesterday and it did DOUBLE. It is now at 38 from 14. RN said to be cautiously optimistic. Beta #3 on Monday. I am having some bleeding though, mainly just spotting but I think that can be normal. I am trying to to read into everything.

We currently have: 4 - 8 cell, 1 - 7 cell, 1 - 6 cell, 2 - 5 cell, 1 - 4 cell.

The lead embryos have no fragmentation and the cells look even, making them class 1

Guys as for me I am having ET tomorrow at 9am. Nurse says there the doctor will decide how many to transfer. I am hoping i can convince him to do at least 4. God knows that if this doesnt work I probably wont be able to do another cycle for a very long time. I am staying very positive though. I feel very good about all this. Pray for me guys. I will probably update you guys tomorrow after ET!

Question to all... I had ER on 08/06 and having ET tomorrow 08/10. Does that mean i am doing a 4dt or a 5dt? Do i count wednesday the day of retieval or not?

hopinginpa~ I'm really glad that your beta nearly tripled!! Hang in there and stay calm, rest plenty to allow that embie to stick. You're in my thoughts and I know it's really a tough time to go through and the hours just don't seem to go fast enough! Can't wait to see your next beta and see it increase a lot!

Rosario~I think that will be 4 days but I could be wrong. Best of luck tomorrow on your ET!! So exciting that you'll be PUPO. Looks like you have very good embies! I'm not sure that you would want to transfer 4, that seems like a lot. It would be very difficult to have to do a selection later on and the risks of multiple pregnancies get pretty high.

TrueBeliever~ I know this 2ww can drive you nuts! It drove me nuts the first time and since I had no idea what to expect as far as pregnancy symptoms, I was analysing everything. I do agree that the PIO shots give you symptoms but so can pregnancy. Than again, some women don't get symptoms at all. This time, I'm going to work on puzzles because I only think about that while doing it. I'll do other things to try and keep myself busy and my mind on something else.

Kate, Turtles, babycrazy, jenolina,kas~ How are the stims going?
I'm getting a blood test on Monday but no US...still too soon.
My last 2 injections really burned and leave me a bit sore. That headache from the first day finally went away but now, I feel like it's coming back. Do you girls have that? I'm pretty calm so far...whatever happens, happens and I hope I can keep doing that...we'll see.

Muggsey, Chris, AmandaM, hoping4~ Stims are right around the corner for all of you! This thread is going to start to really jump!! It's going to be wonderful to see all the BFP coming in.

Mentally, I'm feeling really good. I keep having these flashes where I see myself pregnant or with a child...I love having these flashes and I hope it's telling me that it's going to happen for me.

JDC~ I'm still thinking about you and hope you're not going insane by now! Are you going to POAS? My DH last time prevented me to do it and I guess I'll have the strength not to do it this time either. But once I get my positive beta, just for the heck of it, I might POAS

I hope I'm not forgetting anybody...
