From what I've read that she was probably OVER stim.? Even my Dr. said out of the 10 blasts we ended up with, that theres probably only 2 babies in the bunch (if that)??? Dr. said "in reality our bodies are NOT ment to make 10 babies in a month....we're not dogs??"
I'm stressing because of coarse I'm trying to figure out whether //it's ME (just quit smoking) the DONOR or WHAT???
ANY info would be helpful!!!
Thanks, Summer
There's no such thing as too many, but...
I don't know what clinic that is. But many/most clinics will flinch in the face of a high response, and compromise the egg quality. The most common is to coast the patient. They do these things to avoid OHSS.
It's not good for the egg cohort and it's not a good way to avoid OHSS. There are better choices. But it is the most common practice for avoiding OHSS.
Another problem arises if they trigger based on some criterion involving the lead follicle. For example, many trigger when the lead follicle reaches 17mm or 18mm. That's fine if there's only one follicle, but for a large cohort, it means the bulk of the follicles will be too small to yield a good egg. It's better to trigger based on the whole cohort than the lead follicle.
We don't play games like those and our donor recipients get pregnant in about 90% of cycles, with live birth in about 70% of cycles. We have not had significant OHSS in a donor in at least 5 years.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
