I had my 20 week scan on MOnday which was great. Everything looked good and they said a 70% likelihood that it is a girl. So that's great! Hope everyone is well. Vicky

Very exciting for both of you! Glad to hear you are both doing well. I realize those final weeks can be rough, especially chasing another little one around. I remember the first pregnancy being so careful not to pick up anything too heavy. The second time, I had no choice with having Siena. She always wanted to be held. I think kids can sense when things are changing in the household.
Best of luck in your final weeks and hopes for smooth deliveries.

Hi girls,
How's it going? I had Jillian on Thursday 8/7/08 @ 4:44pm
she weighed 6 pounds 13 oz and is 18 1/2 inches long.
She came at 37 weeks 3 days. Stayed in there 3 days longer than her brother did, she is amazing. Joey loves her.
You will be busier, but having two is so wonderful. Joey has an instant friend for life.

Congratulations Princess and family. Fantastic news. Your little girl is gorgeous. Hope all is going well for you.
Vicky - Congrats on having a girl. Are you buying pink yet or waiting for definate??
Sher - Hope your family of four are doing ok. Keeping you busy no doubt!
Thanks for asking after me!
Im 36 weeks now. Everything was going ok (Well, apart from the usual pregnancy niggles of heartburn, tiredness and constant toilet trips, but Im quite happy to put up with them!) Until today when I got results of my GBS (Strep B) test which showed positive! I was quite shocked as I was negative when pregnant with Jenna. Apparently it can come and go! It means no birth centre or home birth for me, I have to go to the delivery suite in the next town so I can have IV antibiotics during labour. As long as baby is ok, it doesnt matter I know. It's just changed everything I was expecting to happen!
Take care all
Love Kim

Babies always seem to throw unexpected things our way. Luckily this was realized and can be taken care of by modern medicine. Best of luck in your upcoming delivery and be prepared to fall in love all over again.

I tested positive for Group B strep with Oliver (now 2 & 4mths). It is a shame if you wanted a home birth but although I have nothing to compare it to it didn't seem to make much difference during the labour (although as this was a total nightmare maybe I just didn't notice!).
Wow you're 36 weeks - not long at all now. What is your due date? I'm not due till 21st Dec - which seems a really long way off. I am actually quite tempted to have a 4d scan (did you consider one of those?).
I would love to have absolute confirmation of sex of baby and also think it would be amazing to see the baby moving inside the womb etc. Can't decide. I don't feel I can go buying stuff until I know for sure and actually although I will buy a few new things my sister had a baby girl last Dec so hopefully I won't need too much new stuff as the weather will be exactly the same as when she had hers!
Right best do some work. Love Vicky.

Just posted two photos of Sydney on Photobucket.com. You are welcome to take a peak. Wish I could figure out how Joy connected that photo to her signature line - very cool.
Kim should be ready to go any day now. Looking forward to hearing about your delivery.

Sher - Ive just seen your pics of Sydney on photobucket. What a beautiful little girl you have. You must be so proud!
Vicky - I can remember now that you had strep B when you had Oliver. Ive had time to get used to it now. I have now arranged to go to delivery suite to have my cannula and 1st dose of antibiotics when labour starts and then transfer to the birth centre (In the same hospital) if all is ok. Will see what happens! I need to go into labour first!
I havent had a 4D scan. It's tempting but we didnt have one with Jenna, so decided against it. (My DH didnt want J to feel left out if we didnt have one of her!) Hope your birth this next time is a better experience for you.
Im now a week overdue (I was due 18th Sept acc to scans, but I had worked out my date as the 20th originally). Im not used to this waiting! Jenna was born 2 days after her due date. I had a membrane sweep yesterday and the midwife said I was 2cm dilated. (This doesnt apparently mean much with 2nd babies as your cervix may not have closed fully anyway after the 1st one!) I had some backache yesterday afterwards, but that has gone. Im booked for induction next thursday, but really hoping this baby comes on it's own, so I can have a natural labour. The way Im feeling now though, I think I will welcome an induction in a week!
Take care all. I hope to update you with baby news soon.
Love Kim

I can't believe you're still waiting I was just thinking yesterday that you must be at home with your two beautiful children! Oh well we'll have to wait a bit longer for the good news. I hope it's not too awful waiting. Olive was a week early so I am hoping this happens again - particularly as my due date is so near Christmas.
I'm glad you've got the Strep B sorted. I forgot all about it in the end during the labour.
I have booked for a 4d scan on Saturday now - I know what your hubby means about not having one for the other baby but I just couldn't resist - I am thinking of it as an introduction for Olly to his sister/brother. I'll let you know how it goes.
Well loads of Good Luck and best wishes for a completely reaxing and painfree birth! (Mind over matter and all that!). Love VIcky
