Meds Question -

Post by heather4312 »

I am 34 with no IF issues my self, but DH has failed Vas reversal.
This is my first IVF cycle, I started stims on Friday 08/08. I am using Bravelle/Menopuor. My med dosage seems low compared to others I have read.

AM
75 IU am Bravelle
5 IU Lupron

PM
75 IU Bravelle

I trust the clinic, they have great success rates, but I also want so embies to freeze (don't we all).

I am trying not to stress, but it isn't working :-) I just want to see how this dosage compares to others??

Thanks!

Heather,
I know everyone is different. I have unexplained infertility. I will start 225 U of Follistim and 75 U of Menopur tonight. What do you mean it isn't working? Do you know have any follicles growing?

I meant not getting stressed isn't working. I have looked all day at protocols.

Finally gave in and called the clinic, and they are doing a montioring visit a day early for me..

Just haven't had a single side effect since i started Stims and assumed my dose is too low...

Thanks for your help. I guess everyone is different.

Since the diagnosis is not related to you the clinic wants to start you off slow so that you don't hyperstim. You are actually on 150 of Bravelle daily which is a good starting point. They can always increase you after an ultrasound if necessary. Don't fret!!
I am an infertility nurse and I work in a major IVF facility. I am willing to answer questions and give guidance, however, since I am not treating you, only your physician can give you the most accurate information.
