Ghost/IVF nurse: a correlation between HCG and twins?
Hello! Is it true that there really is no way to tell if someone is having twins by only the HCG numbers alone? I was told that the best way to know is to wait for the first ultrasound and twins can happen with high and low HCG numbers, you just want to be sure the numbers are doubling each time. Thanks for your input!

There is a correlation between hCG level and the number of gestational sacs. But the correlation is imperfect. That means, the best they can do is say "probably twins" or perhaps "probably not twins". But we get surprised from time to time.rn2005 wrote:Hello!
