Good Morning Ladies - Hope you guys are having a wonderful morning :)

I had my check up yesterday where she checked my cervix and listened to heart beats. I go back in 2 weeks for a big ultrasound. I'm taking my MIL she almost cried when I told her she didn't had to go LOL.

I figured she likes being their for us so no big deal and I told her to come along for the u/s.

oh boy I tried to shave yesterday and omg it was the worst thing to do - it took me forever. I cannot bend anymore :(

I cannot believe I'm 20wks already - Wohoo halfway there!!

Hope you ladies have a great day- Sameera!

sameera- congratulations!! what a milestone right?? halfway!!
yes, I agree with you, it is becoming difficult to do certain things. I have just recently started to show in the last 2 weeks; I can still bend over right now but it is becoming uncomfortable. (and I only have a singleton!) are your babies moving around a lot now? i can feel the movement, when she swims around, a few times I can feel a kick or punch but not that often. not hard enough that DH can feel it. But sometimes when she moves all the way to one side and my tummy gets hard DH can feel that. aww, that is so sweet about your MIL, so glad you have such a good relationship with her!

nic- how much are those dopplers? hmm, sounds very tempting, but with all the money we spent on IVF, now the nursery and baby...I doubt DH will ok it. I had to sign a contract for my OB to deliver the baby, and I have to pay all the charges before Nov! Granted its only $200 with insurance but still, I didnt know I had to sign a contract. Guess they want to make sure they get their $$.

jenn- I think anything you choose will look great...when I was little I used to collect mickey mouse stuff. (actually, I was in high school  ) I have fri off but I have to work sat. hmm, is a glider like a rocker? whatever I tried at babies r us made me sick.

Is it just me or do yall have a never ending hunger? I feel like no matter what I eat I want to eat more!!

God Bless!

Good Day Everyone!

Nic - It might be the same one. I will check it out when we go looking on Thursday. I like that you sing to the baby! I wouldn't dare torture him with my singing! DH and I talk to him all the time though and tell him stories.

Sameera - I'm so glad your appointment went well yesterday. Congradulations on the 20 week mark.

Michele - A glider is like a rocker. looks almost the same. It might actually be what you saw at babies r us. If it made you sick I think you might want to try an actual rocking chair. Good luck. I hope you can find something that you can use that won't make you sick.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Jenn

Wow, twenty weeks! That's awesome. I'm almost there too. Couple more weeks left of summer, then I'm back to work until the end of December. Then a whole year off playing with my babies, woo hoo!

Summer has cooled off alot here, and is raining tons. Good for me, because I'm feeling a little better, but not so fun for my daughters, who haven't had the chance to do much this summer.

Chelly - Yeah, I feel them move so much now. it helps me not to go crazy i know they are doing well. But yeah all night long i have movement going on and during the day I get these kicks.

my dh can feel them now and when i get BH he can see how both the sides of my tummy gets harder with them sticking out either their butt or head. lol

yay, how did it feel the first time you felt her move??

don't talk about hunger i am always hungry!! i'm always chewing or eating something lol

Denise - so jealous but i'm happy that you get to spend so much time with your lil babies.

Jen - my dd talks to the babies every day and it's so cute. But whenever my dh talks to the babies my tummy gets so hard it's crazy. I dunno if they don't like his voice or what lol.

Sameera, how cool that your DH can see the babies moving from the outside. I watch my belly after the baby moves to see if I can see anyting but then he stops moving...lol. I don't think I'd be able to se anything yet, though, I have a little more padding than last time  I guess my BMI is around the bottom end of overweight.
I agree that bending over is getting harder. I also have a hard time bringing my knees up to lift my feet to put on pants.

I was watching the discussion about gliders vs rockers and I wanted to chip in. I had a glider the first time around but I found breast feeeding in it virtually impossible, but I think it may depend on the design of the arms. The arms were too high and the chair was too narrow, so I ended up getting rid of it. That was 7 and a half years ago, though, maybe they have improved the designs since then.

Michele....the doppler I chose is only $20 per month because I paid 2 months upfront for $40. I didn't feel like I needed the one with the display of numbers because I'm very used to hearing baby heart beats and there's an easy way to count how many bpm.....just count for 6 seconds then multiply by 10. I think they charge twice as much for the numbers display. Here's a link to the company I used. http://www.dynamicdoppler.com/ProductCa ... nIndex.asp
...I only used them over the others because they're local and I knew that meant faster delivery. Fingers crossed, should arrive today!

Hi Girls!

Been a loooong time since I've been on, but I wanted to see how you're all doing.

Sameera, 20 weeks? Oh man, you must be huge!

How's Nikki and Chelly?

Nikki- in response to your stroller question the Evenflo Journey Elite is a consumer reports best buy and if you google it you can find it for under $130.00. Rates very high in all categories. In fact, it costs $26.00 for a year of consumer reports online and it's the best $ I've ever spent. A HUGE baby section among everything else.

I'm so sorry I've been gone but I have been all over the country and taking care of Adriana has been keeping me busy too. I have a huge work convention coming up and have to prepare for it with setting meetings and all.

Anyway, Dri is doing great. She'll be 19 weeks on Friday. We go for the U/S TOMORROW to see if we're having a boy or a girl!!!!!!!! I begin painting the nursery on Friday night!

Does anyone have any special place online to shop for furniture?

If this is a girl we have the name but if it's a boy we have no idea. I like Kirk (as in Captain...lol) but she told me NO WAY.

Dri thinks it's a boy and I think it's a girl. Any guesses?

See you right after I know the sex and go shopping!

Nikki - you know as this pregnancy progress you will see your lil one move ALOT more. The reason I prolly see it more easily is cause I'm petite and my skin is pretty streched!!!

Jim - Glad to hear from you. Hope all is well with Dri :) yay let us know if you guys are having boy or girl.

when I first got pregnant - we picked out girl name but we never picked a boy name and I just knew I was having a girl. it worked out perfectly :)

so far we haven't picked out names yet - i'm waiting on finding out what we are having then I am gonna start picking out names.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Sam....yeah, I know, I remember from being pregnant with my son, I'm just impatient. I love my new doppler, though, my DH heard the heart beat for the first time since 6 weeks last night.

Dri-jim, hey, its so good to hear from you. I'm glad all is well. I love that you're SO excited about your baby. Don't get me wrong my DH is excited but its his 5th child, so he doesn't act as enthralled as I'd like. Thanks for the advice on the stroller. I'll look into that one. Right now we have decided we like the Chicco travel system they sell at Babies R Us cause it is so light. We compared them last night and the Chicco stroller is lighter even with the car seat in that the Eddi bauer one without the car seat in. I liked the big basket on the Eddie Bauer one but I think being so heavy is not practical, having to haul it into my SUV all the time.

Well, I'm at work, better get busy. Joint Commission is here evaluating our hospital this week, quite stressful.

Gnyyyy - really cross  When I saw my midwife 10 days ago she did a urine test and said there was a trace of blood. I did a proper urine test at my Doc and normally they only ring you if there's a problem. But today 10 days later they rang to say I had a urinary tract infection. I am so mad. What if this has affected my baby? They said it shouldn't have had an effect but I am still worried. How can it take 10 days to say you have an infection? Even they said they don't know why it took so long.

I have just spent the last hour trying to get the antibiotics as my doctor's 2 hours away and I'm not going back till Saturday and I need the prescription. I have been charging around the area near my office but the first 3 chemists didn't have any of the right drug and the next one I had to get my doc to call again to confirm that it was a genuine prescription etc. Plus it was so close to the time that my Doc closes, so I was racing against time. It's so windy outside I have been blown about all over. I'm so tired too - I've already worked 29 hours this week and I could do without running around pharmacies for an hour. :x

Anyway I have the antibiotics now but am still worried. Will call my midwife tomorrow. I've had a UTI before and it hurt like hell, but I have no symptoms this time.

Rant over. Hello everyone. Sorry it's just me me me today. I haven't got time to write more, but glad everyone seems well.

Denise - I am guessing you are a teacher and had the summer off. I am so jealous.

Sameera - you are too funny! I'm sure it's excitement!

T - So sorry to hear about your UTI! I cannot believe it took that long for them to call you to tell you it was positive. I hope everything is okay. I would be really angry too so if you need to rant, rant all you like and don't worry about the me, me, me. We all need the days every once in awhile.

Hope everyone is having a good day

Tin- aww, I'm sorry about your UTI and I would be mad to and I would prolly go off on the nurse and blame it on my hormones. I don't care whose fault it was it's really unacceptable!

Try not to stress and give yourself a break - all this stress and running around i bet is making you more overwhelm. Try to relax if possible.

But you are more than welcome to rant anytime - we are all here for you :)
