Good morning ladies. It looks like some of you were lucky enough to get online last night! I kept getting errors and couldn't even log in!

I went in this morning for my 3rd beta, so I am waiting to hear my results. I asked while I was there when I would get an ultrasound, and she said 4 weeks after the first positive test!! I now have to wait over 3 more weeks before I get my ultrasound!! And I thought the 2ww was tough!

to_have_fun: Thanks again for updating the list! I'm not really supposed to be on here either, but I'm addicted!

valerie: I hope those headaches go away soon. I know how bad a constant headache can be when you can't take anything for it.

hopinginpa: I am so glad the bleeding stopped. When do you go back in?

JDC: A faint line is still a line. You should see anything if it's negative! Sounds promising! With 3 more days till beta, it should be darker tomorrow!

TrueBeliever: Trust me, we are all just as anxious as you are during the 2ww. I think we all get a little obsessed about it. A test Friday or Saturday should get you a good result. Good luck!

Congrats to those starting stims!! Good luck to those with betas coming up. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great day! I will post later when I get my 3rd beta results.

Hey Girls,

Just a quick one to update you. I had b/w done this morning and it all came back good. I have to up the dose from 200 to 250 but it is all within range - think they just hope to get some more eggs!! :D I was also told that due to my number of BFN's and the one m/c that I have had they will want me to take low dosage heparin to help the placenta grow (?...anyone heard of that?). I have to take it by injection...and there was me hoping after Monday that would be me done with the shots!!

JHarris - good luck with the 3rd beta - let us know what it is

JDC - sounds like a BFP to me - congrats!!

Val - how are the stims going? Are you still on track for EC on the 20th?

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all doing ok?

Hi I am new to this board. I am hoping to find some others who are going through the same thing I am. It is kind of hard to talk to people who don't necessarily understand what I am talking about when I try to explain what is going on. I just started an IVF cycle this month. I started stimming on 8/7 and had my second u/s today. I had two 15's and one 16 and several smalls on both sides. I am getting really excited because we are getting so close to ER time. Good luck to everyone.

Great report Babycrazy...I'm so happy for you that you'll have blasts to transfer! And on your Mom's BDay, what more can you ask for!!

Welcome Shellbell ~ It sounds like you've got good follies in there. They won't even do an US until the weekend for me but then I'm a low responder and probably know that they can wait with me.
I feel twinges and pulls on my right ovary and I figure it's the follies getting bigger.
Best of luck and keep us posted on your progress. Ask any quetions you have and we'll be happy to answer and be there to support you.

Jenolina ~ We haven't heard from you!!! How are you doing with the stims? Any good news? Didi they keep you going on stims?

The rain drove me home early this afternoon and has enabled me to be on the computer.

Babyloves ~ Can't wait to hear about your US as I think you have twins in there!!

I'll be going to AP tonight...I always like that as it is so relaxing!
I'm staying much calmer during this cycle and I'm not too worried about anything...I can't change what will happen anyways...as much as I would like too. I'll let nature do its thing and hopefully reward me with a baby.

Talk to you later!

Hey ladies :D

Quick question for valerie68 or anyone else....
Val you said you were taking 2 inections a day for your 2 meds. I am also taking follistim & menopur but instead of having 2 injections they said i could mix them together.... Is anyone elso doing this insead of 2 injections? i have to use my follistim pen and 'inject' that into an empty syringe, then use the contents to reconstitute the menopur powder and inject. I dont even use the sodium chloride that comes with the menopur.

DOes anyone elso do this ???? ALso if you are using the pen, do you find that there is still some in the cartridge no matter what you do ??? I feel like im not taking all my meds even though i've pushed it really hard :?

Kas ~ I take Bravelle 225 IU and menopur 75 IU twice a day for a total of 450IU and 150 IU and I have to reconstitute all the meds. I mix the bravelle and menopur together, otherwise I'd have to have 4 shots a day. I sometimes also feel that some of the meds stay in the syringe but my DH pushes it all the way and gets out as much as is possible.
The way you're doing it sounds good and as long as you're getting all you possibly can out of the syringe, that's all that counts. My nurse told me not to worry.

Good luck and I hope you get good follies.

E/R finally scheduled

Post by jenolina »

Hello everyone!

I am thriled to be a part of this thread! So many positive ladies and seems like the PMA is making good things happen for everyone

VAL: Thanks for checking on me. I'm still stimming. Sorry to hear about your headaches. I have been suffering too. I had a wicjed migraine on Sunday that took me out all day. My doctor renewed my prescription for MAXALT, which really seems to help, expecially if I drink a Coke or something caffinated.

BABY_CRAZY: Looks like we will be having our E/R on the same day, this Friday, Aug. 15. I'll be thinking of you and hoping your mom's b-day is good luck for both of us!

JDC: Sound like a BFP to me! In my first pregnacy, the line was so faint! I was online for 2 hours trying to research if that was a positive! It was! I;ll be thinking good thoughts for you.

To have fun: I think I am on the same protocol as you. I did 5 days of 300 follistim and 75 menopur, then at day 6 jumped to 450 follistim and 150 menopur. I am trying to understand this protocol. Did you take Lupron? Also, how many days is your clinic planning on stimming you?

Like the rest of you, I can hardly keep track of everyone! Thanks to the ladies who posted their embie pictures! Those are awesome! Congrats to the BFPs...Babyloves, Hoping and JHarris! So encouraging to see those! Let's keep them coming!

I had 2 follicles in right and 7 in the left. I now have 5 in the right (about 14mm) and 6 in the left (14 mm), so I think I am looking good for Fridays retreival. They say that the follies need to be about 18 mm for the E/R so I will hope that the follies keep growing.

Has anyone else had that full, uncomfortable crampy feeling right before E/R? I am also feeling super run down and tired. I am hoping both these things are normal! I go back in Wednesday for my last U/S and hopefully my HcG and final meds for Friday.

Sticky Baby Dust to all of you :)

Jenolina - I didn't use Lupron this time. I just did BCP's. Lupron is not my friend. I will be taking ganirelix (sp) later on that is supposed to suppress the ovaries so I won't ovulate. My RE never gives me the exact amount of days I will be stimming. Usually they do anywhere between 10 and 14 days.

Last time I stimmed I just felt bloated and really yucky all the time. I hate the antibotics the most, they make me feel like crap.

Good Luck, Grow follies Grow!!!!

Hello Ladies,

Sorry I have be not on much. Not much going on here and I try to not be as addicted to things this time around.
I am midway though AF and look to be starting stims in about 2 weeks give or take. So just coasting along atm.

Kas101- i did use the follistim pen and the medicine you see left over is the "overfill". They add in the extra medicine to prime the needle. I was able to get an extra 100unts out of each of my cartridges due to this overfill. I am sure you are getting what you are supposed the extra you see is just that..extra. You can use that extra by dialing the dose you use, then injecting the meds and you will see on the dial how many units left you need to add to it. Since I was totally out of pocket I tried to squeeze every last unit out that I could. My nurse was the one who told me how to get the overfill used. Good Luck

I'm doing the menopur and brevelle (and low dose lupron) and my RE said to mix all 3 together for only one shot a day. She also said to only use 1 mL of saline to reconstitute, you don't need much and it's more painful to push a bunch of fluid in one shot.

I had the baseline u/s and bw today. I have endo (which I knew, had surgery in 12/07 to remove a softball size mass on the left). RE said the left ovary is almost all endo again, not very much good tissue left, but there is some. The endo is in the middle, 4cm. The right side also has a mass, but it's smaller and off to the side, she said lots of small follicles on the right so they are not really concerned at this point. Depending on how things stim they may not use the left or save it for last. And they may even try to drain the mass when they do the retrieval if they can. DH came with me today, only guy in the waiting room, he's been great through this!

Come on sticky big fat eggs for the stimmers!
Stick the landing for the 2wws (like the olympic gymnastics)!
Grow babies grow for the BFPs!
Baby dust to all!
