Post by Ronnie »

Hi ladies:

I am officially in my 2ww since saturday.

I have been having trouble in falling asleep...I guess is than I am nervous and can´t take any medications...my doctor said that if they are natural herbs is Ok.

Anyone with the same problem?

Best of luckk to all!!!

Hello there,

I had my transfer last August 8 and now waiting like you....also have a problem sleeping at night. The thought that I ahve the embryo inside nad whats happening in there you know , just everything about it makes me just stay awake! T hough, I really try my best to sleep as much as I can, its just hard... try aromatherapy it might help you.

My doctor told me I can't have sweets and caffeine. So now I only settle myself with water and ya healthy foods..How about you? What kind of diet you have?

Garden of Even:

Hi!! We had the almost the same ET date.

How many embryos did you transfer?

I am too not drinking caffeine and very little chocolate. I am eating lots of salad, milk, pineapple, and tuna end eggs and fish and meat soup. How about you?

I did an IVF last year and had a BFP (twins) but M/C at 16 weeks due to an hungus infection. I remember that doctors told me then that is very important to be calm and sleep for the babies, so there is no problem in taking natural things.

When is your beta?

Lots of luck!!!

they transfered 2 embryo. ER was 8/8 and I have to check blood on the 20. Do you use progesterone? I have the suppository ones like tampons and then you squeeze it ones it is inside.

Sometimes I would have like white stuffs coming out, is that the progesterone coz its white and soft. Also I did not have any HCG shot after my ET..coz i've been reading here and seems like people are talking about it but I did not remember them giving me an HCG shot...what is that for?

Ronnie, I had trouble sleeping at night as well. But, mine was the opp. As soon as I hit the pillow i was out, but I woke up every night between 1-3am with major cramping and had a hard time going back to sleep.

Insomnia is a sign of pregnancy, but it is also a side effect of progestrone.

I had a horrible time getting to sleep during my 2WW. I attributed it to thinking about my embies and if they were ok, etc. Honestly I have been pretty liberal in my eating. I haven't eaten anything much differently since I have been preggers or even during my IVF cycle. I layed off the caffeine (maybe had 4 or 5 drinks a week) during IVF and my first trimester. Now i average a coke a day. As for sleeping, I have been addicted to Tylenol PM for years now and I never stopped during IVF or even now that I am preggers.

I know I am not perfect (obviously!), but this has worked for me. Good luck sleeping! Baby dust!

Jen, my Dr says that Tylenol PM is ok. He even suggested it for me to help me sleep through the night. I havent tried it yet. I have to pee 3-4 times a night and I am afraid I will sleep through it and wet the bed

OMG! It really does help being on this site...reading through all this things put my mind at ease...

I myself feels so hot all the time and would get up in the middle of the night and feels like I did not sleep at all from tossing around at trying to sleep.Like all I could remember is that Im trying to sleep the whole time.

And yup this is like crazy I pee a lot too...that might be from dringking water all the time as I feel so thirsty.
