I recently joined this site and I am mid-IVF#1. WIth any luck I will have day5 ET with PGD on 8/15. I've had 4 m/c (naturally conceived) so we are trying PGD to lowere the chances of chromosomal abnormality m/c's.

Is anyone else doing PGD?

I hope my embies make it to day 5. The Dr. told me that all 8 fertilized wer growing but 4 looked better than the others (but he did not comment on the quality). He said if we weren;t doign PGD they would do the ET today so I don;t think they were that great of quality. This wait is relaly hard and I'm not gettting any work done!

I'm hoping and praying for all of you!

Hey girls I have been feeling a little sick. I had terrible backaches which got better last night. I have sore boobs from the progesterone and cramps come and go. Sometimes i feel positive and sometimes i dont. I must be stressing so much that i lack sleep. I took a HPT sometime after retrieval to make sure the HCG was out of my system in case I POAS sometime soon and sure enough there was a BFN. I was surprised to see it negative since they say it can take up to 14 days. I am definitely ready to start testing but its too early right?

Beta is the 22nd i think... I will make sure about it can confirm. How is everyone doing? When should I start testing? Has anyone experienced the backaches?

My back is fine, but my belly is so swollen and bloated its annoying. When they did my ET they remarked how I had alot of fluid behind my very swollen ovary so all that seems to be pushing on my intestines.

Chenry4413- ET today- Welcome and best of luck today! :)
Triss22 - 2ww - When is your Beta?

Hi Cherny- I thought so much about having PGD done, but opted out. We are paying out of pocket as are many of us, I think? This was purely a financial decision on our part. The pricetag for that procedure for our clinic is very high, and because we were doing this for the very 1st time we elected against it. I pray that we made a good choice, because the science of PGD is invaluable! Good luck today, and I hope you got the blasts you want. Thinking of you!

I am dying to POAS!! I could be talked into it. Anyone POAS??
I had dream this morning that may have gave me uterine contractions. Hard to explain on the thread, but I am scared. I had a lot of cramping, and some back pain. My BBs are so darn sore, and I am not sure how much of this is the drugs! These next few days are going me in!

Biddy - we talked to our RE yesterday. I'm going straight into another FET cycle. We have 6 frosties left. They are all late bloomers - 4-6 cells. So we'll be transferring every one that looks decent.

Elizabeth - I had a similar dream during the cycle where I got a BFP if that makes you feel any better. Probably nothing to worry about. Cramps are good!

3 days...

Post by TrueBeliever »

And the countdown continues.... Only 3 days until my beta and I am finding it really hard not to POAS. I am so anxious to know if anything is going on inside there, as I feel no different. I hear the ladies talk about back pains or cramps and I have felt nothing. I am not sure what to think of it, really trying to stay positive. I may break down tomorrow or Saturday, if I do you all will be the first to know :D

How is everyone else doing? How are your stims going? How is the 2WW going? How are your pregnancies going so far, I know it is early but love to hear details.

I want to say that everyone who has gotten bad news this month, try to stay positive and the time will come. It is a long hard struggle, and we do not go through more than we cane bare. My heart is with you.

Rosario, I think if you POAS on 8/17 or 8/18 you will have some legitimate results. If it's +, woohoo! If it's -, wait until the next day and try again. :)

Rosario, did you do a HCG Booster shot or just the initial HCG Trigger shot? If you did a booster you might need to wait a bit longer.

New to the Board and in my 2ww!!!

Post by fullofhope2 »

First and foremost, I want to say how comforting is to read so many of the posts, especially during this difficult wait. I am new to the Board so am not very familiar with all of the acronyms, but I will try my best!

For Elizabeth, it seems that we were at CCRM on the very same day for our transfers as I received a 5dt on 8/9 and will have my beta on 8/18! What a coincidence!!!

I was told that we had 2 perfect blasts and that my numbers were great, but so far I have had no symptoms except for some soreness in my (.)(.)s. During my first pregnancy (w/o IVF) though, I do not recall any symptoms in the first month until I had some spotting and nausea around week 6. The wait seems so unbearable at times but I am trying to keep myself busy.

Thanks Ladies for all the information and support you provide and I look forward to lots of BFPs!!!!

 -monica
