Congratulations Dri-Jim!!

I can't believe you guys are all picking out rockers and carry cots etc! I haven't thought about anything yet. Maybe I should start to? I guess I was waiting till after my 21 wk scan before getting in full swing.

I wish I was feeling something. You are all really lucky - I sit and wonder what's going on inside. I thought I felt a flutter once or twice last week, but nothing since. Where are you, baby? Make yourself felt!

I had a sneaky look at the Dec babies thread, to see what lies ahead, and one of the girls is having triplets! Eek!

Thanks for the sympathy about my UTI and cr*p doctor. I have calmed down a bit. I just pray the delay hasn't done any damage.

Haven't seen DH for a week. It's getting a bit rubbish at the moment with our work in different cities. Roll on holiday.

Hope you're all well.

Yeah for you Jim, joining the pink team. Most of you seem to know what you are having already... I think its just Sameera and I that are waiting on the ultrasound still. Mine is booked for Aug. 26, so not much longer to wait. I don't have any strong feeling what this baby is yet, still seems surreal, though I have a nice sized belly to prove that something is in there!

Just to weigh in on the glider vs. rocker question. I have a rocker, but rarely used it anyways. So don't blow the budget on this item, its one of those you could live without if you don't get it.

Jenn,

I'm not a teacher, but an educational assistant. I work in the special education department. Same time frame as teachers though, so pretty convenient for having kids.

How's everyone doing?

hope you'll had a great weekend - I went to baby shower and played some silly games.

I think it was good to get out of the house and do something else - then just feeling overwhelmed by what I need to do for the nursery what I need to do.

But Yeah, I'm starting to get overwhelmed with everything - since there is so much to do and very less time!!!

So, whose having appt and u/s soon??

Guess what: its a girl!!!! The tech said definetly a girl...no weenie to be see!

Jim- congratulations! What color are yall painting the room? DH doesn't want to paint  I don't know why....he's very into 'living green' and organic stuff so he says he doesn't want to paint b/c of the fumes....maybe he's just lazy! Did yall do the registry yet?

TinNotts- I wouldn't worry too much about the UTI...if you weren't in that much pain and was able to urinate normally, you should be fine. Do you like cranberry juice? Its supposed to be a natural preventive for UTI's but it has to be cranberry juice not cranberry cocktail. You may have been experiencing movement but thought it was gas. At first I thought it was a gas bubble, but then I realized it was the baby changing positions. Now I feel her moving regularly...sometimes I can feel her kicking from the inside but she doesn't do it hard enough for DH to feel it on the outside.

Nikki- I like the Chicco stroller too. I'm not that fond of the colors, but they have a new one that is red...we will probably get that one. It is a bit pricey compared to others but we liked that it is light and one handed use. Plus, the lining is wipeable....you don't necessarily have to take the padding out to wash it every time baby spits up. We had our JACHO inspection in April...so I feel your pain!!

sameera- so did you find out you are having 2 girls? maybe I missed that post. How are you feeling? Still having the BH contractions? What do those feel like anyway....sometimes I feel crampy and I get sharp pains on my side, but I figured it was round ligament pains.

Denise- I feel the same way about the rocker/glider...DH thinks we need one, but to be honest I get motion sick and everytime I try one I get nauseated. What kind of a chair did you use when you were feeding? Did you breastfeed? I was kinda thinking of getting just a plain old recliner. What do you think?

As for me, this weekend was Texas' tax-free weekend...so we took advantage and bought a bunch of baby clothes (pink and purple of course!) sears & mervyns had tons of clearance so most of the outfits we bought were 75% off! But my feet were killing me by the end of the day!

God Bless!

Chelly - OMG, congratulation!!! .

awww how exciting :) wow you will have so much fun decorating nursery and buying really cute outfits.

They seem to have tons of cute stuff for girls then they do for boys.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling baby girl move - well wait till you get 20 weeks you will feel the movement constantly lol

yeah sounds like round ligament pain - your body will get use to it just like every other symptom :)

As far as me - nope haven't find out if i am having girls or boys or boy and a girl LOL will find out next monday!!

I do get BH's all the time and I have learned to deal with them so they don't bother me a lot - I did notice my back pain has gotten worse.

you know I will be posting and updating you girls ASAP!!!

I breastfed my girls but just did it on the couch or chair with pillows propping around. Same idea when I did it in bed, just propped around me with pillows. I used my rocker once or twice, thats about it.

Chelly, congrats on the girl! I was thrilled when I found out both of mine were girls last time. This time, doesn't really matter, whatever happens, happens. We go for the u/s on Tuesday.

denise- i may not end up getting a glider...we have a chair that matches our living room set that no one really uses...I might move that into the nursery for the time being. No sense in buying something that I may only use a couple times right! Can't wait to find out boy/girl!

sameera- sorry to hear about your back pain. I hope they don't get too bad, you still have a way to go! I will be 19 weeks tomorrow, yay!! I was up and about a lot yesterday so maybe that's why the pains are worse today. Its kinda bad though, it hurts walk sometimes. Also, I have been a little "backed up" if you know what I mean, so maybe I just need some fiber to get regular. I just started having problems with that in the last 2 weeks...I eat a lot of fruit and veggies but for some reason I still have problems going potty.

Have any of you ladies had problems being "regular"? Any good solutions or supplements?

God Bless!

Hi Chelly,

Congrats to your daughter and I love girls. Although my guess about her was wrong, I am very happy for your news and happy to be wrong.

About the constipation, watermelon works the best for me. I found other fruits are less predictable, sometimes work, sometimes don't. I hope you will get better soon.

All other preggos here, enjoy your little ones in the oven!

Hey Chelly, how's things? Great I hope.

Tell your husband there ARE baby safe paints out there and he's not getting out of it! http://homerepair.about.com/od/interior ... ursery.htm

Also, tell him global warming is a crock if you want to set him off!

We're painting the room a color called "Belle of the Ball". It's the lightest color peach. And here is the bedding thet I brought today. It's the one Adriana wanted and she was surprised when it was on the table when she came home. It's called "Tropical Punch".

http://www.babysupermall.com/main/produ ... 20035.html

The crib, changing table and dresser I want is the Isabella crib, but she thinks it's too expensive even though she loves it. We'll see.

***Ahhh, it's a girl??? AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Congrats. Does she have a name yet?***

Good Morning Everyone!

So it's been almost a week since my last post. I have had some vacation days so I haven't had a chance to post. We did do our registry last Thursday and it was so much fun shopping for all the stuff our little boy will need. While we were at the mall we stopped at the Children's Place and ended up getting him 4 outfits for next summer, a hat and a sleeper! DH said to me this weekend as we were going through some of the clothes that the baby already has more clothes then the 2 of us put together. Also the travel system we chose is the Graco Quattro Pro Travel system. We also chose the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 car seat.

Michele - Congradulations on the Girl! Do you have any names picked out?

Jim - Congradulations on the Girl! I really like the nursery set. It is very cute.

Denise - I would love to have every summer off but unfortunately in my work that would never happen. I have been given a total of 3 vacations days since summer started! I do have 1 more next week. I am going away for labour day weekend so I am very excited for that.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Has anyone else done their registry yet?

Jenn

jim- I love the nursery set!! It is too cute- I can tell your baby is going to be a daddy's little princess! And the furniture is truly perfect for a princess...with regards to the price this is my opinion. After spending thousands of dollars on IVF, what's another couple more right?!?
yes, DH is aware of the low volatile paints, I don't know why he's so stuck on this. I wil probably cry and pout a little more to get my way...who is going to argue with a large, crying pregnant woman??
For our bedding we chose the Kids Line "Bunny Meadow" organic set at BabiesRUs....its more neutral and zen...more our style. We tend to be a bit 'minimalist' when it comes to decor. For the furniture I like the Simplicity 'Ellis' crib and dresser set but this is not a for sure. Still checking around.
And i am doing great, thank you for asking!
How is Adriana and baby? Did yall do the 4-D ultrasound afterall?

Jenn- You and DH sound like us...we have already bought several outfits for our girl...mostly 3-6-9 mth sizes. You can't help it right?? I had to resist the urge to buy before I was pregnant, but now that baby's coming along DH has given me permission to indulge myself!!
I don't have any names picked out yet, DH and I will probably be arguing about it until the baby is born!
We did the registry at BabiesRUs but I need to do one at Target...in our home town the only large store with baby needs is Target and Walmart.

sameera- thank you for the advice with the prunes...I will try to stomach them. Mango does ok for me, but I needed something a little more convenient. Hmm, do them make prunes that don't taste like prunes?! LOL

children- I love watermelon, unfortunately for me the only thing it does for me is fill my bladder! But thank you for the advice!
You are not the only on that thought a boy b/c I got so darn hairy!
How are you doing with your pregnancy?

God Bless!

Good Morning Mommies to be!

Michele - It's funny because it's not only me that has bought our little boy so many clothes. It's everyone we know! I am friends that have ordered him a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff from Disney Store and Children's Place. It's so exciting. I can't wait until I start to get some of it. I really like the crib set. It is very cute.

Hope everyone else is doing well!
