How Long After D&C Does AF Commonly Arrive?

I had a d&c about a week ago and was told that AF can come in a month or even 2 months after D&C. I had very minimal spotting after the procedure and the spotting stopped about 2 days after. Today I woke up and went to the bathroom and had some blood ...kind of like a period come out.

Isn't it too early for AF?

I had my AF on schedule right after, which I think was a few weeks. It was a very clean and light AF. Actually the following 3 after were as well.

I had a D&C last October with nearly the exact same experience - mild spotting for a day or two after the procedure, then a light AF-like bleeding several days later. I don't know why that happened, but it definitely wasn't a real AF. My actual period started about 5 weeks later.

It's pretty common to have on and off bleeding for a while, but if you're worried about it (lot of pain, lot of bleeding, etc), call you doctor to be sure.

I was told AF would arrive 4-6 weeks after the D&C. For me, after my first D&C, it took 7 weeks to see AF again.....After my second D&C, it was only 4 weeks.

Thanks ladies for your responses~~~ I'm having no pain and the bleeding is very light... so since I have an appt for blood on monday I'll mention it then to the nurses.

I hope when AF does arrive it's pleasant for a while like yours Dakota~~~ my normal AF's are so terrible...the cramps...the nausea...I can't go anywhere or do anything for like 2 days!

I have a D&C in July '07 and I got AF 1.5 weeks later. I spotted a few days after procedure but had real AF after spotting stopped.
