We did a fresh IVF cycle ending in early June. It was a failed cycle, but we ended up with 13 embryos - 7 day3 and 6 frozen just after they fertilized.
We're now nearly done with our first FET cycle (which I'm almost certain is another failed cycle). When they thawed our day3 embroys, 5 of them died and two of them were partially dead. We implanted those two. Beta's Thursday, but I'v gotten negatives a couple of times and my hopes aren't high.
My question is what are the chances that the other embroys are also dead/unwell? I thought that many more would survive the first time, so something must be wrong. Is it likely to affect the others as well?
Our RE is concerned about our remaining 6 embryos. They are going to thaw a little earlier this time to give them time to grow before transfer.
RE also gave us the option of doing another fresh IVF cycle so that's an option too. We didn't want to abandon our existing frosties though.
Good luck!
