Congrats to everyone with a BFP !!!

JDC i am so pleased you got your BFP. You are the one who's case mirrors mine so closely and i feel more confident about my own situation seeing you have a BFP!!!! We are same age, no tubes, ovaries not co-operating (diminished ov reserve in my case) , and i only have 4 follies (did have 5 but today RE says 1 not viable) SO when i feel i am fighting an uphill battle, i will remind myself it can be done !!!!!

Hey Girls!

I haven't checked this board for a few days and when I di it takes me ages to catch up!!

JHarris - my thoughts are with you. I was so hoping that it would be good news. I understand what you mean about last try, thats what I said after my m/c last Sept. However, after realising I could get pregnant I had to have another go. Believe me I can relate to the lack of funds, all of ours we have had to pay for but what I am saying is take time out to heal and then decide what to do. You can and have been pregnant you can do it again.

JDC & TrueBeliever - great news and congratulations! Enjoy the next 9mths :D

SueQiwi - welcome back, hope you enjoyed your holiday

Rosario, Biddy & Alimoyni - hope the 2ww isn't too bad?

Val - how are you? Guess you have to trust what the doctors say but it doesn't help to ease our minds does it? I haven't had one scan yet and it is playing on my mind that my body isn't doing what it should be!!! Good luck for Saturday and your scan - let us know how it goes.

JJake - do you start stims tomorrow? Good luck if you do?

Toobee, Shellbell, hoping, Chris, Muggsey, Turtles & Amanda - hope the stimming is going ok?

Hope anyone else I have missed is doing ok?

As for me I'm back tomorrow for my last blood test and my one and only scan. I'm hoping that it is as it should be, not sure what will happen if it isn't

Anyway, we also meet the other two couples that are also going to Sweden and having tmt at the same time as us. A friendly face or 2 when we are out there will help to calm the nerves!

To those of you that are having AP have you been told about the German Protocol? I have to speak to the nurse in Sweden who does AP and ask her if she can follow this protocol. Basically they have shown that having AP an hour (that is the optimum time) both before and immediately after ET helps to increase implantation rates by about 60% For my last couple of tmt's I have managed to have AP after ET (altho not within the hour) but never before. Just wondered if anyone else has heard of it? My AP deals with a lot of fertility cases and is Swiss in origin, just thought I'd ask if anyone elses AP knows about it?

Anyway, I will post again tmr after my scan etc and keep you posted. After that I won't be posting again until I'm on my 2ww, so keep your fingers crossed for me girls.

Catch you later

A quick post as I have to get ready for a meeting.

JDCOMG!!!WOOOOHOOOO....HOOORAY!!!!I'm so incredibly happy for you!!! That is one great beta.
We should never give up hope...especially all of us who are struggling with low follies count...one ovary...diminished ovarian reserve ( I think I have all those) because you give us proof that it works even with few follies!!!
You deserve this great beta and a healthy pregnancy.
Many hugs to you and your little bean!

As for me, my E2 were 397 and I'm officially going for an US on Sunday...at last!!! My numbers are slightly ahead of last time and I hope to at least get 4. If I were to get 5 or 6, I would be elated.

I'll catch up with all of you later. And I hope this post doesn't come out all red...not sure how that works yet.

Much love,

Kas101 I cried when I read your post just remembering how hopeless I felt at times.....I hope seeing how it works out for me can help you avoid that despair. I am proof that there is hope!! Keep up that PMA and I am rooting for you all the way!!!

Val I cried when I read your post too! (hormones?ha!ha!) Anyway, you have been such a support to me....more than you know. You are a very special person and you have made such a positive impact on my cycle....thank you! I pray you get your BFP too! I know you will.

Thank you to everyone's sincere congrats. I'm still thinking of all our girls waiting to start....like Karen, MzTia, SueQiwi and others........and all the girls stimming.....and the girls sweating out the 2ww.....you are all in my thoughts and prayers!

My next beta was supposed to be this Sun, but we postponed it until Tues because I'm going to the shore and need a break! So I may be out of touch over the weekend because I don't think I will have internet access where I will be.

Congradulations to all of the BFP!!!

I have a question for you all - did anyone in the 2WW really, really feel pg and then get a nothing (could not bring myself to type in the proper words!!!). Did those of you who got a BFP know it was going to be a BFP??

Okay ladies I am really scared! I feel really stupid right now. I am on 150 Follistim AM and PM and on day 5 of stims I started Ganirelix (AM) and low dose HCG(PM). Well tonight was my first night of low dose HCG and I just now realized that I took to much. I was measuring on the side and instead of doing 10u I did 100u. Did I just screw up my whole cycle? I am so scared!!!!!! I looked at the syrienge and saw the 5 and 10 on the side and thought I was suppose to add med to the 10. Please tell I didnt mess up to bad and this wont hurt my cycle. Should I call tomorrow and tell my nurse or just do my regular (which I know now how to measure) dose??? Please help!!!!! Today is day 5 of stims anf I went in yesterday for an u/s and I had 3 follices that measured 10, and some smaller ones. I only have one ovary. I am only suppose to do thie loe dose HCG until Monday. I have been looking on the internet to make sure this want make me ovulate to early. Should 100u do that. Praying i have not majorly messed up. thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello everyone,

hopinginpa~ Your story is an inspiration too!! Wow, that's so wonderful and your beta is rising so nicely. I'm so happy for you! :D :D
I'm sure you can't wait for your US and I hope that you get to see a heartbeat! I look forward to hearing about it.

Biddy~ Do you feel symptoms? I sometimes hesitate to talk about my symptoms because I had a chemical and I don't know if it will scare some of the women. I guess symptoms would be the same whether they're from a chemical or from a good pregnancy. But I had loads of symptoms and I didn't know if I could trust them to be from the pregnancy or the progesterone.
Towards the end of the 2ww, I strongly suspected I was pregnant. I started to eat everything that was not tied down. I had extreme thirst, tiredness, night sweats, elevated temps. But no sore boobs ( I wonder how they could not be sore from squeezing them so much to see if they were still sore :?).
I had strong aversion towards smells and could not stand to eat sweets.
But the hunger drove me insane because I had to eat right then and there.
You know, some women never feel a thing. I went crazy during my first 2ww and I know you must be too. But I really felt pregnant and I told DH that if I didn't get a BFP that I must be going insane because I couldn't believe that so many symptoms would come from PIO.

Kate~ Good to hear from you! You and I are on the same boat as far as no US yet!! I hope you get lots of follies. I can't wait to see how many I have.
I have not heard about the German protocol, it sounds really good. I have to talk to my AP about what we're going to do for ER and ET.
I wish you the best of luck...lots of follies...great embies and most of all a BFP. Have a wonderful trip. :D

Kas~ You're lucky to have a few low responder on the thread. I had 3 follies and 2 eggs out of those last time ...don't feel bad about it, I believe that with fewer follies, they might be better quality. Mine went on to be blasts!! You're going to do great. I felt really bad about it the first time and yet I always believed I'd get pregnant and I did...never stop believing...believe it in your heart....

JJJake~ Congrats on starting stims tomorrow and I wish you a wonderful cycle.

I've talked enough tonight...wishing good follies to all our stimming ladies :D :D

Lots of PMA and cool, calm nerves to all our PUPO girls!

Have a good night.

E/T Done

Hi everyone,

I had my E/R this morning. The worst part was being laying on the table wide awake with my legs splayed open strapped in strange boot-things. Luckily, I fell asleep before just before they began. I have been laying in bed all day, resting. It's actually not as bad as I was anticipating. I thought it would be more like my laporoscopy/hyteroscopy. Mostly I feel a little sore and cramp, but that's it. I had 11 follies. We'll hear from the embriologist tomorrow as to how many eggs we got, and how many have fertilized.

Even though my husbands sperm was "great", they still decided to do ICSI. Anyone else out there not have ICSI? I thought they only did that if there was a male factor? I hate to feel like they just want to get an extra $1500 out of us. Maybe because I didn't have many follies?

KAS: I was deemed a "low-responder" also. They gave me the same speech about low ovarian reserve (which I had also not heard before). I had 2 on the right and 7 on the left. They increased my dosages to 150 menopur and 450 follistim. The next U/S I had 4 in the right and 7 in the left. By the end of the week, I had 4 large follies on the right, and 4 on the left. I guess this morning, there were 11 total. You may have more follies yet! Don't give up hope! Quality over quantity!

Babycrazy: Sorry about the mistake on the E/R-E/T. I hope your transfere went well today! I'll be thinking good thoughts for a BFP fo you!

Muggs: I stimmed a total of 10 days, but like someone else said, my clinic went my size rather than total days. If I had been responding better, I would have had my E/R earlier. They were looking for 18mm to trigger, so that they would have 20mms at E/R.

JDC: CONGRATS! I am so happy for you! Keep us posted on your growing betas!

Val: I'm thinking about you! How's it going?

Oh, one last thing. My husband did my HCG shot, and didn't understand my directions, and therefor did not pull back on the plunger to check for blood. Has this happened to anyone else? Our nurse said it was 99% most likely okay, but I was concerned. I have a nasty bruise. Anyone else with bruises form IM injections?

Everyone else: Happy thoughts and baby dust!

Hi Girls,

Just a quick update as I had my u/s this morning. My womb lining looked ok, altho they didn't say what is was. I also had 8 follies on the right hand side and 3 on the left. Of those 5 are 18mm+ and the others are just a little way behind. I still have two more days of stims so the smaller ones that they didn't measure will hopefully grow and I'll have a couple more. Either way I'm happy with 11 as long as the majority are mature.

Just got to wait on my bloods now to see if I have to stick with the dosage I'm on (250) or whether they want me to reduce it slightly.

Babycrazy - hope your ET went ok?

Muggsey - check with your clinic, hopefully nothing too major will change

Val - how was your u/s? Hopefully the 4 or more follies you were hoping for x

Anyway, I should really start to pack if we are off early Monday!! Will not be able to post until I come back (unless I find an internet cafe somewhere!) but I am sending lots of baby dust everyones way, especially to those testing next week and those who are having ER and ET.

Take care

Just got a call from my nurse and ends up i did it right afterall. She said that since I have a 1/2cc syrienge that I was suppose to go to the 10 on the side. That is the reason they use those syrienges. I feel relieved!!

Hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend and i will post personal later on today, i am off tp do my shots!!

Hello ladies,

Muggsey~ What a relief that is for you! I was really concerned because it would be horrible to screw up a cycle because of that. I'm happy it turned out to be OK!! :D

Baby-crazy~ How did ET go? You're now officially PUPO and wishing you the best...loads of baby dust for you!

Jenolina~ Congrats...11 eggs is great! Hope you get a good fert. report! They're the experts and they probably felt that you would get more embies by doing ICSI.

Kate~ Sounds like you're doing really well! Have a safe trip and tons of baby dust. Good thing you met other couples and you can support each other. I'll be thinking about you and I wish you the best! Looking forward to hearing from you ASAP.

We have a tropical storm coming our way...hopefully it won't develop into a hurricane and it should be here by Tues. I hope it doesn't screw up my ER!!! It has me on edge a little bit.

I got to go get some work done before I have AP at 1 pm...talk to you soon.

Lots of baby dust to all!!
